Surveying and documentation of part of route Cesta v Luzích (cadastral area Nuzířov)
Maňas, Jaroslav ; Vitásek, Josef (referee) ; Vondrák, Jiří (advisor)
Theme of Bachelor thesis is tacheometric survey of area that includes part of cycle path and contiguous Lubě stream with its joining into reference systems S-JTSK and Baltic Vertical Datum- After Adjustment. It was necessary to build up the survey net before survey works could even start. The net was created by GNSS method and polar method. Detailed survey was executed by a polar method as well. The outcome of these works is thematic map at a scale of 1:500 and also the experimental version of digital terrain model (DTM). Test of accuracy of the map was executed by checking profiles.
Research of old rockfalls using LiDAR data
Rusá, Veronika ; Štefanová, Eva (advisor) ; Pavelka, Karel (referee)
This thesis addresses the issue of detecting and modeling old rockfalls using LiDAR data. The study area chosen for investigation is Dlouhý Důl, located in the České Švýcarsko National Park. The main objective of this research is to map, retrospectively analyze, and model historical rockfall events. To achieve this, a comprehensive workflow for modeling rockfalls using open-source software was proposed and tested. The specific goals of the thesis included processing the laser data to create a point cloud and conducting data quality checks. A crucial aspect was determining the optimal viewing angle for analysis. The software PosPac and RiProcess were utilized for data preprocessing. Another important step was the generation of a Digital Relief Model (DMR), essential for detecting and modeling rockfalls. The point cloud filtering and segmentation were pursued as ancillary objectives and tested using two software applications, CloudCompare and OPALS. For the evaluation and modeling of rockfalls, QGIS with the QPROTO plugin was employed. Additionally, a literature review on the development and methodologies related to rockfalls was conducted. The theoretical section describes the definition of rockfalls, including the factors contributing to slope movements, as well as LiDAR technology, point cloud...
Slope stability of Jizera river valley slopes in Semily region
Kujan, Ondřej ; Novotný, Jan (advisor) ; Vybíral, Roman (referee)
The thesis deals with slope stability of a landslide "U Čtrnácti pomocníků", which is located in the north-eastern part of the city Semily in the Liberec district. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part was carried out literature search on the issue and the natural conditions around the wider area of interest. The practical part consists of individual sections within which the research were conducted archival documentation, mapping areas of interest, own technical work, sampling and geophysical measurements and laboratory work and stability calculations. Also the engineering geological model of the landslide was created. The results of the practical part are used as the basis for the final engineering geological evaluation of this area.
Characterization of hard rock environment: archive borehole data and conceptual model
Vacková, Alena ; Bruthans, Jiří (advisor) ; Kůrková, Iva (referee)
This study is focused on characterization of the hardrock environment in surroundings of Sazava river. It is based on the archival data of groundwater table in boreholes, results of pumping tests from Geofond database and topographic data (DMR , watercourse, etc.). ArcMap 10.1 and Excel were used for data processing. The relations between the groundwater table depth, water table gradient, specific yield, transmissivity and variety of topographic parameters (distance from a watercourse, elevation, relative elevation above the nearest watercourse, the terrain gradient, etc.) were studied. Close linear relationship exists between the gradient of the terrain and groundwater table (rxy 0.96) in the study area. Groundwater table gradient is on average 88 % of terrain gradient. Mean groundwater table gradient is 10 % (6). The average transmissivity in the area is 1.27 x 10-4 m2 /s, specific yield is usually between 0.01 and 0.1 l/s m. This corresponds to the low and very low transmissivity class. Variability of transmisivity values is high. The difference between transmisivity in discharge and recharge zone, assumed by previous authors, was not confirmed in the study area. Specific base flow calculated from mean transmissivity, terrain/ water table gradient and river network density based on Krásný and...
Use of current and historical geospatial data for 3d modeling of hradec králové in different time periods
Šrollerů, Alex ; Laštovička, Josef (advisor) ; Štych, Přemysl (referee)
Use of current and historical geospatial data for 3D modeling of Hradec Králové in different time periods Abstract This bachelor's thesis is mainly focused on historical and current geospatial data and the basics of three-dimensional city modeling. It provides an overview on basic methods, data and software suitable for 3D city modeling in different time periods and possibilities of 3D visualization. The practical part describes the process of creating a 3D model in different time periods, namely the cadastral area of Hradec Králové in the years 1840, 1912, 1952 and present. The model consists of terrain interpolated from ZABAGED contour lines and buildings extruded from vector footprints. Subsequent manual modeling took place in SketchUp CAD software. Historical large-scale maps, contemporary orthophoto and OSM are used for this task. The model is visualized using flyby animations, view scenes, interactive browser and presented on a self-created web page and StoryMap JS. Keywords: 3D model, SketchUp, buildings, DTM, historical data.

The comparison of digital terrain model sources in GIS for hydrological purposes
Klempíř, Hynek ; Bašta, Petr (advisor) ; Gdulová, Kateřina (referee)
This thesis deals with comparsion of digital terrain models from different sources processed in GIS for hydrological purposes. The diploma thesis is composed from several parts. First part sis consist of characteristics related to watershed and water flow, which are important for the understanding this work. The thesis also describes digitial terrain model, his creation and methods for obtainig digitial models. Then, there are described data sources from which is possible to gain digitial models. Next chapter is dedicated to the coordinate system. The last parts of this thesis describes drain alghorithms. Characteristic of this area was collected on experimental watershed Modrava II with the ESRI ArcGIS Desktop software that would mainly Spatial Analyst and ArcHydro extensions. The results of this diploma thesis can be concluded that the free digital terrain model SRTM 90 is not suitable for small regions with diverse terrain structure. Thereason is a small resolution model. Other terrain models provided free of chargé are sufficient even for small areas as the selected area of interest. Paid digitial models can al lbe established for the area of interest as appropriate.
