Role of Central Bank Digital Currencies in Bridging the Formal-Informal Economy Divide in Developing Countries

Neformální ekonomika existovala mimo regulační rámce vedle formálních struktur. Přetrvává toto rozdělení, ve kterém se neformální ekonomika často vyznačuje svou neregulovaností, která omezuje výběr daní, finanční začleňování a sociální zabezpečení. Vzhledem k tomu, že vláda a finanční instituce většinou přehlížejí roli financí při formalizaci neformální ekonomiky, poslední trendy ukazují rostoucí uznání důležitosti formalizace prostřednictvím finančního začleňování. V této souvislosti se jednou z iniciativ staly digitální měny centrální banky (CBDC). Tato práce zkoumá roli CBDC při překlenutí propasti mezi formálními a neformálními ekonomikami v rozvojových zemích. Abychom porozuměli potenciálu, který CBDC přináší, zkoumá výzkum projekty CBDC na Bahamách, v Nigérii a v Číně pomocí kvalitativních metod a hodnotí je podle mezinárodních směrnic a rámců Banky pro mezinárodní platby (BIS) a Mezinárodního měnového fondu (MMF). . Výsledky ukazují, že CBDC mohou snížit neformálnost tím, že zjednoduší přístup k základním finančním službám, sníží transakční náklady a zvýší transparentnost mezi účastníky.

Camera Pose Estimation from Lines using Direct Linear Transformation

Tato disertační práce se zabývá odhadem pózy kamery z korespondencí 3D a 2D přímek, tedy tzv. perspektivním problémem n přímek (angl. Perspective- n -Line, PnL). Pozornost je soustředěna na případy s velkým počtem čar, které mohou být efektivně řešeny metodami využívajícími lineární formulaci PnL. Dosud byly známy pouze metody pracující s korespondencemi 3D bodů a 2D přímek. Na základě tohoto pozorování byly navrženy dvě nové metody založené na algoritmu přímé lineární transformace (angl. Direct Linear Transformation, DLT): Metoda DLT-Plücker-Lines pracující s korespondencemi 3D a 2D přímek a metoda DLT-Combined-Lines pracující jak s korespondencemi 3D bodů a 2D přímek, tak s korespondencemi 3D přímek a 2D přímek. Ve druhém případě je redundantní 3D informace využita k redukci minimálního počtu požadovaných korespondencí přímek na 5 a ke zlepšení přesnosti metody. Navržené metody byly důkladně testovány za různých podmínek včetně simulovaných a reálných dat a porovnány s nejlepšími existujícími PnL metodami. Metoda DLT-Combined-Lines dosahuje výsledků lepších nebo srovnatelných s nejlepšími existujícími metodami a zároveň je značně rychlá. Tato disertační práce také zavádí jednotný rámec pro popis metod pro odhad pózy kamery založených na algoritmu DLT. Obě navržené metody jsou definovány v tomto rámci.

The diploma thesis called The selection and deployment software for production planning and control, to clear up the basic principles associated with the company’s information and control systems and with the company‘s processes viewed from the point of production. The diploma thesis deals with the theoretical description of the ERP systems and the principal planning and production methods. In the practical part the implementation of the new controlling ERP system at the PBS company is described.

Legal aspects of crypto-assets

1 Abstract and keywords Legal aspects of crypto-assets The topic of this thesis is the impact of the current legislation on the crypto-assets market and some selected entities providing related services. The aim of the thesis is to analyse the impact of these regulations, to describe in detail some of the deficits of the current legislation and, occassionaly, to present possible future developments of regulation with an impact on this issue. To this aim, the first chapter first presents the term "crypto-asset" itself and the definitions of crypto-assets currently or in the past used by various authors, including relevant European bodies and institutions. The second chapter analyses the methodology of dividing crypto-assets into relevant subcategories from the perspective of legal theory, with the work focusing mainly on payment-type crypto-assets. The third chapter then explains the impact of the legal regulations currently in force in the Czech Republic on the legal status of crypto-assets, taking into account in particular the statements of the Czech National Bank. Within this chapter, a separate section focuses on the legal regulation of 'mining' activities as a process of verifying transactions within the crypto-asset network and allocating new crypto-asset units. Records of book-entry securities Abstract The topic of this thesis is the registration of book-entry securities, especially with re- gard to new technologies for keeping such records, such as distributed ledger technology (DLT). The first chapter briefly describes how this technology works and how it has helped to overcome the long intractable problem of decentralised databases, the so-called double- spending issue. The following chapter then deals with the characteristics of the products (fi- nancial and otherwise) embedded in DLT technology, collectively usually referred to as cryp- to-assets. These are generally divided into cryptocurrencies, property or investment tokens, which may correspond in their characteristics to certain types of securities, and utility tokens. In the third part of the thesis, the existing legal regulation of book-entry securities in Czech and European law is analysed in detail, and the regulations of private and public law are discussed with regard to possible interpretative ambiguities and potential disputes.
