Design of information/retail kiosk

The theme of the thesis is the design of an information/retail kiosk for cultural and sports events taking place in a city environment. The work also includes the analysis of current products focusing both on their benefits and shortcomings. The final concept focuses mostly on easy transport of the kiosk, providing of all necessary services for visitors, and the use of audiovisual technologies for providing the required information.

Applying project management principles on organization of the national holiday celebrations

This thesis analyzes the causes of organizational problems arising during the preparation of national holiday celebrations. The theoretical part describes the cultural and non-profit sector, deals with the specific management issues of NGOs which organize cultural events, and explains the basic methods and principles of project management. The methodological part lays out the methods used for data collection and analysis. The practical part describes the celebrations of the Struggle for Freedom and Democracy Day on Národní Třída street in Prague, which are organized as a project. Data was collected using observation and interviews with team members and analyzed to discern specific issues facing the project team during the preparation process, and recommendations are provided to address these issues using project management methods.
Media promotion of a cultural event on the example of One World Film Festival 2013

This thesis deals with media promotion of certain cultural event and is divided into two parts - theoretical and analytical. In the theoretical part the main terms related to the issue are defined, various marketing and promotional tools are described, a significant part of the thesis is devoted to the description of the media, the influences that act on media, and the functioning of the media market. The analytical part is concerned with the particular case of media promotion and analysis of its outputs - qualitative analysis of press releases and its' responses and quantitative analysis of references to the event in the media. In conclusion, these outputs are evaluated.
Presentation of a cultural event and its visual identity

The bachelor thesis deals with the external presentation of a cultural event, communication with a spectator and with the overall strategy of marketing communication. The theoretical part is mainly engaged in marketing communication and communication mix, as well as visual communication, especially corporate design, image and visual identity in general. The practical part is focused on a specific example of the music festival Mighty Sounds, its development and growing popularity associated with successful self-presentation. The information and conclusions in the practical part are supported by the questionnaire research dealing with the growing awareness of existence of this festival and communication with a target group within a year.
