Avian communities of overgrown wetlands near fishponds in the Třeboň basin
Tuháček, Filip ; Hořák, David (advisor) ; Voříšek, Petr (referee)
Wetlands are one of the most unique and threatened biotopes on earth. Encroachment, mainly due to the cessation of traditional management leads to the appearance and spread of shrubs (mostly willows, Salix spp.). ey eventually change the appearance of the wetlands into forest- like habitats. is diploma thesis describes avian communities of overgrown wetlands and compares them with those of non-overgrown wetlands, i.e., reedbeds and low vegetation (mainly sedges, Carex spp.). Although the overgrown wetlands did not have the lowest species and population densities, in comparison with non-overgrown wetlands, the densities of wetland specialists and endangered species, such as Savi's Warbler (Locustella luscinioides), Bluethroat (Luscinia sve- cica), and Water Rail (Rallus aquaticus) were lowest in the willow-dominated wetland compared to non-overgrown. Due to the overgrowth of the wetland, the avian communities are more wo- odland and common bird species, such as Common Chiffchaff (Phylloscopus collybita), Willow Warbler (Phylloscopus trochilus), and Great Tit (Parus major). We also wanted to investigate and compare the invertebrate biomass in overgrown and non-overgrown wetlands. We wanted to find out how avian communities depend on the food resources in wetlands around the South Bohemian fish ponds....

A touristic hinterland of travel aktivity in CHKO Třeboňsko with coverage on natural attractiveness
BARTL, Ondřej
The topic of this bachelor's thesis is the evaluation and proposal of the possible use of the implementation potential of tourism in the CHKO Třeboňsko. In the introductory part, the author introduces his readers to the geographical characteristics of the area, where it is possible to get acquainted with the natural and socio-economic conditions of the area. Part of this chapter is also a mention of localities of interest on which the analysis is performed. However, the most important is the analytical part, which discusses the implementation potential in terms of collective accommodation facilities and the availability of individual tourist routes to the sites of interest. Due to this analysis, it is possible in the end to evaluate the current implementation tourist potential and outline in which parts of the CHKO Třeboňsko the implementation potential leads to negative consequences.
Comparison and evaluation explantates plantings of juniper (Juniperus communis), originally from PR Mšály (1981-1985)
BUBLÍK, Martin
Common juniper (Juniperus communis) is a tree or a shrub. This species is original in the Czech Republic which was very widespread in the landscape. It is from the lowland to the mountain range, which means that it is completely unmistakable for the soil species. It is classified as a critically endangered species in the Czech Republic, due to changes in landscape management. The aim of this work was mapping and surveying the situation on the mentioned localities, where the research was carried out in 2004-2005 and in 2015. At the Na Mšálech locality there were found 135 individuals. Based on the data found, the overall health condition was greatly aggravated by the populations under study, specifically at the Paris site.
Ochrana přírody a krajiny v jižních Čechách - historie a současnost
PFLEGEROVÁ, Adéla
The title of my work is: "The protection of nature and landscape in South Bohemia - history and present." As the title says, in my work, I am dedicated to the nature and landscape protection. At the beginning, I approach the first efforts for the nature protection in our country and I gradually come to first legal protection which dates back to the period of formation of Czechoslovakia. The first Nature Conservation Act, i.e. Act no. 40/1956 Coll., on state protection of nature, was adopted after long efforts of Czech experts and politicians. On the basis of this law, protected areas, protected natural formations, nature reserves, as well as protected species of animals, plants, minerals and fossils were declared. A few years later, the Czech Republic has completely changed the view on nature and Act no. 114/1992 Coll, which is the currently valid, was adopted in 1992. I chose mainly general protection of nature from this law and its fundamental duty to protect nature and nature conservation authorities. From this law, I focused on special nature and landscape protection, this Act define following six categories of special protected areas - NP, PLA, NNR, NNM, NM, NR.
Population of juniper (\kur{Juniperus communis}) on Mšály (BR Třeboňsko)
KELÍŠEK, Michal
Common juniper (Juniperus communis subs. Communis) is a shrub or a tree original in Czech Republic which was widespread there in the past. It grows either in lowlands or in mountains and it is undemanding to the soil. Nowadays, there is a lower number of it because of economic transformation in landscape. In consequence of this, it is on the list of endangered species of Czech Republic. The aim of this project was to chart the current state of population of common juniper in region "Mšály" (in The Protected Landscape Area of Třeboňsko). 144 living specimens were founded there. Dendrometry, mensuration of the specimens by GPS and drawing the new maps was realised. Another aim was comparison of the new data with the results of the research in 2004 2007. It was ascertained, that the observed population has a decreasing tendency in it's quantity. The average height of a specimen in the population has grew from 0,8 m to 4,9 m since 2007.
Population of juniper (Juniperus communis) on dikes Třeboň ponds
PELÁN, Rudolf
Common Juniper (Juniperus communis) is a low-growing shrub or small tree, which is autochthonic and previousely widely distributed in the Czech Republic. Common Juniper occurrence is associated with sandy, drying and waterlogged soils from lowlands to mountains. It is retreating species from the middle of last century because of changes in landscape and agriculture. Now, it is endangered species of flora of the Czech Republic. The aim of this work was to map the population on selected areas of Třeboňsko focusing on the pond dikes and comparing with others. Next, there was dendrometry (forest mensuration), detection of individual specimens with using GPS and creating maps with location of Junipers. 190 specimens were founded on selected area, most of them were founded in forests and near ponds.
Construction of photovoltaic power plants in the Třeboňsko Protected Area
DUŠEK, Milan
Number of photovoltaic power plants increased rapidly in the Czech Republic in the years 2009 and 2010. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to review the legal limits of the construction in the studied area, the ratio of permitted buildings in Třeboňsko Natural Protected Area and outside this area. Then to find out the decisive kriteria of the stakeholders who participate on the permition procedure or to determine other factors that could influence the results of the permition procedure. The construction of photovoltaic power plants affects the landscape character in Třeboňsko protected area. Třeboňsko protected area was compared with Trhosvinensko, Lipnicko and Stráž nad Nežárkou areas. The number of the planned plant buildings in both areas, the issued number of positive and negative statements with the justification included, the functional utilization of the area for the construction of the photovoltaic power plant, the number of the issued decisions in the individual years and the comparison of realized photovoltaic power plants in the monitored areas was monitored. It was found during the evaluation that the positive decisions were issued for the areas where the landscape has been already disrupted by the other constructions in the past. The negative decisions were issued for construction of the photovoltaic power plant in the open landscape. Only the intentions in former industrial or agricultural sites and in the urban areas were implemented.
