Room Occupancy Detection with IoT Sensors
Kolarčík, Tomáš ; Jeřábek, Kamil (referee) ; Pluskal, Jan (advisor)
The aim of this work was to create a module for home automation tools Home Assistant. The module is able to determine  which room is inhabited and estimate more accurate position of people inside the room. Known GPS location cannot be used for this purpose because it is inaccurate inside buildings and therefore one of the indoor location techniques needs to be used. Solution based on Bluetooth Low Energy wireless technology was chosen. The localization technique is the fingerprinting method, which is based on estimating the position according to the signal strength at any point in space, which are compared with a database of these points using machine learning. The system can be supplemented with motion sensors that ensure a quick response when entering the room. This system can be deployed within a house, apartment or small to medium-sized company to determine the position of people in the building and can serve as a very powerful element of home automation.
Data collection by wireless technology ZigBee
Teplan, Miroslav ; Burget, Radim (referee) ; Koutný, Martin (advisor)
This bachelor study deals with communication standard IEEE 802.15.4, wireless technology ZigBee and describes its using in collective data collection area and telemetry. Teoretical part is formed by some chapters which detailing standard IEEE 802.15.4 and ZigBee technology and some chapters which detailing communication unit design from look peripheral solving and implementation firmware. Practical part have to do with itself realization communication unit for data gathering from measuring devices. It is based on circumscribed solving. Further smoothing - out proposal frame system in which the would be used technology ZigBee.
Laboratory development kit for wireless networks
Marák, Jiří ; Caha, Tomáš (referee) ; Krajsa, Ondřej (advisor)
The aim of this work is to design and implement a laboratory development kit for teaching wireless networks based on IEEE 802.15, IEEE 802.15.1, IEEE 802.11 standards and similar technologies. First are described WPAN and WLAN wireless technologies. In the next part, the work deals with the overall concept of the development kit and the subsequent selection of suitable components, and finally the design of its own development kit and the design of the printed circuit board in the program Autodesk Eagle.
