A Test Suite for the OpenLDAP/NSS Project
Špůrek, David ; Očenášek, Pavel (referee) ; Smrčka, Aleš (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is to create a test suite for the OpenLDAP/NSS project. The work clarifies the principles of testing, automation testing in a GNU/Linux environment, and the concepts of LDAP and NSS. Tests are designed for Fedora/Red Hat Enterprise Linux distribution and they are automated using shell scripting and the Beakerlib library for testing.  Black-box testing method is used to design tests. The tests focus on the integration of OpenLDAP and NSS. In the thesis, tests are designed and implemented for openldap-clients, kerberos, nss-pam-ldapd, samba, and autofs packages.
Performance Optimization of Testing Automation Framework Based on Beakerlib
Automated Test Documentation Generator for BeakerLib Tests
Kulda, Jiří ; Smrčka, Aleš (referee) ; Vojnar, Tomáš (advisor)
The aim of this work in cooperation with Red Hat Czech company is to design, implement and verify documentation generator for test written using BeakerLib library, which effectively creates documentation from BeakerLib tests without any documentation markup. In the first step generator parses data from every BeakerLib command in the test. Subsequently data are transformed as a natural language information. At the end generator transforms this information into documentation template. In this case an argparse method was used to find possible data from BeakerLib commands. In contrast to existing documentation generators this generator brings a new way of documentary creation from tests without any documentation markup. Thanks to this point of view we can generate documentation, which is created on base of  automated understanding of test source code. Through documentation generator development time the generator was tested on three BeakerLib tests. In the end the documentation generator was tested on ten BeakerLib tests which were randomly selected.
Continues Integration Support for Copr Build System
Klusoň, Martin ; Hruška, Martin (referee) ; Rogalewicz, Adam (advisor)
This thesis deals with implementation of continuous integration for build system Copr. The implementation uses framework Citool and its modules, which are already used for continuous integration of build system Koji. The outcome system can run the tests for the new package from the build system Copr and test it on virtual machine. This thesis shows way how to implement continuous integration for build system Copr.
Test Results Management System Complementing the tmt Tool
Dubaj, Ondrej ; Hruška, Martin (referee) ; Vojnar, Tomáš (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the area of software testing, more precisely with the topic of managing test results. The aim of this work is to find, set up and implement a system that complements the missing functionality of the TMT tool, which is going to replace the Nitrate tool in Red Hat as a test management system. The content of this work is a basic introduction to the tools Nitrate, TMT and other technologies used in Red Hat. Furthermore, the work presents the current state of the test infrastructure and collected user requirements for a new system for managing test results. Subsequently, the ReportPortal tool is introduced as a system for test results management and the missing functionality is defined. The rest of the work is devoted to setting up the system itself and implementing the missing functionality, along with implementing the infrastructure needed to import test results into ReportPortal. The work describes the method of deploying the system in use and feedback from users. The deployed system is evaluated and its further possible improvements are discussed.
