On the cutting geometry and kinematics of the arthroscopic forceps part
Pospíchal, Oldřich ; Polzer, Aleš (referee) ; Píška, Miroslav (advisor)
This Thesis presents a design innovation in arthroscopic forceps. Based on surveying the subject-matter literature on arthroscopic surgery of the knee, design changes are proposed to alter the cutting geometry of the functional end of the instrument to improve its utility. The proposed changes are imple-mented in a prototype, which is then compared with the current design. The comparison is made by testing the functioning of the instrument and the force required to shear the test material.

The special part consists of a case report of a patient with whom I worked during my continuous practice at the Homolka Hospital. It consists of input and output kinesiological analysis, 8 therapeutic units and evaluation of the effect of therapy including discussion. Results: When comparing input and output values, there was an improvement in most aspects. I see the most important progress as an improvement in stability on one lower limb, an increase in muscle strength and a change in...
Possibilities of physiotherapy after knee arthroscopy
PAUKNEROVÁ, Linda
This bachelors thesis talks about the possibilities of physiotherapy after knee arthroscopy. The thesis is divided into many parts. The first theoretical part summarises important information about the anatomy, kinesiology and biomechanics of the knee joint. Then the mechanisms of knee injuries are described with their following arthroscopy treatment. The theoretical part ends with the list of possibilities of physiotherapy after knee arthroscopy where specific methods and concepts are explained. The research questions and goals of this thesis follow in next chapter. The first goal is to propose treatment and rehabilitation plan after knee arthroscopy. The second and the main goal is to focus on the problem of knee instability connected with this surgery. The third goal is completed by creating an information brochure with adequate exercises after knee arthroscopy. For my thesis I picked qualitative research. The research group was formed by 3 women between 35 and 58 years which underwent knee arthroscopy surgery. The reseach was done by regular meetings for 2 months. The methods of obtaining data were entrance and output kinesiology analysis. The results are presented in the form of case reports. The case reports contain the progress of therapy, short-term and long-term rehabilitation plan and the summary of all therapies. The final chapter contains evaluation of the research in the form of discussion where I list the strong and weak sides of this research. This thesis can be used in physiotherapy, by the public or patients after knee arthroscopy.
Physiotherapy of patients after arthroscopic surgery of shoulder join
SKALICKÁ, Tereza
This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of physiotherapy after arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder joint. To introduce the issue, I focused in the introduction to the theoretical part on the anatomy of the girdle of the upper limb, shoulder joint and biomechanics of movement in individual planes. I describe diseases of the shoulder girdle and specific tests that can be used to find out more detailed characteristics of the problem. As a goal of the work, I chose to map the diseases of the shoulder joint that precede arthroscopic surgery, to describe the procedure of physiotherapy after arthroscopic surgery, to design and create an exercise unit for patients.
