Physiotherapy possibilities for sport aerobic contestants with focus on ankle joint problematics
LÁTOVÁ, Kristýna
This bachelor thesis deals with the possibilities of physiotherapy in sport aerobic contestants with a focus on the problem of the ankle joint. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part describes in detail the basic principles of aerobic, its history and development, as well as the specifics of sport aerobic including compulsory elements. The thesis focuses on the anatomy of the ankle joint, its role and involvement in sport aerobic exercises. The most common injuries and their subsequent therapy are also presented. The theoretical part contains information about the possibilities of physiotherapy, both in the prevention and treatment of insufficency of the ankle joint function. The practical is exposed on the basis of own research conducted on a group of female sport aerobic competitors aged 15-18 years. The results of this research were subjected to and objective evaluation. The aim of the study is to theoretically map the function of the ankle joint and the pathokinesiological effects of its insufficiency in the context of the locomotor load during sport aerobic. Based on the findings, physiotherapy options suitable for the prevention and treatment of these problems were proposed. The work also presents a specific exercise unit with a decsription of exercises aimed at strengthening the stabilization of the ankle joint, which helps to better illustrate the proposed physiotherapy procedures in practise. Overall, this work can be considered as a useful source of information for anyone interested in sport aerobic. At the same time, it can become an inspiration for coaches and participants in other aesthetic-coordination sports where the ankle joints are exposed to excessive stress and higher risk of injury.

Title: Use of Mulligan Mobilization Techniques in Patients with Distortion of Ankle Joint Abstract: This bachelor thesis deals with distortion of ankle joint and Mulligan Concept application issues. The main purpose of the thesis is to use the Mobilizations with Movement techniques (hereinafter referred to as MWM) in patients who suffered ankle joint sprain. With the thesis being divided into theoretical and practical parts, the former one presents the issue of ankle joint using anatomic point of view and kinesiology viewpoint. The following chapter deals with ankle joint distortion with regards to its most frequent cause, a risk of development of CAI (chronic ankle instability), appropriate treatment and physiotherapy. At the end of theoretical part is presented Brian Mulligan and his concept. The practical parts consists of casuistry on two themes. Both of them include initial examination, therapy goals definition, description of physiotherapy intervention and final examination. In order to be able to assess therapy results, the author chooses the Knee to Wall Test and Two-scale-stand Test methods as parts of both initial and final examination. In addition, the author compares initial and final values of ankle joint locomotion extent goniometric gauging, lower limbs girth anthropometric gauging, pain...

Minaříková, Tereza ; Plecháčová, Marie (advisor) ; Kulich, Václav (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with the problem of ankle sprains and the use of kinesiotape. The aim of the thesis is to describe and use the application of kinesio tape according to Brian Mulligan concept in patients after ankle sprain. The bachelor thesis is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part contains a description of the anatomy and kinesiology of the foot and ankle joint. It also deals with the problems of ankle sprain, mechanism of injury, treatment and physiotherapy. At the end of the theoretical part, the method of kinesiology taping, Mulligan concept and the MWM (Mobilization with movement) techniques are also described. The practical part describes the data collection, results and their evaluation. Four patients after ankle sprains were involved in the practical part and randomly divided into two groups. Both groups of patients received a standard physiotherapy intervention. This intervention was based on manual techniques and active exercises. At the end of each therapy session, the tape was aplied on two patients. In the appendix, a description of the of the kinesio tape associated with movement according to Brian Mulligan together with photographic documentation of application is included. Functional tests such as the Weight-Bearing Lunge Test,...

Title: Physiotherapeutic treatment of a patient with ankle sprain Author: Christoforos Koupparis Location of clinical work placement: C.L.P.A (Centrum léčby pohybového aparátu) Aim The aim is a further understanding of an anterior talofibular ligament sprain. Generally in my thesis you can see how the structure of an ankle joint is and the function of the same joint by a kinesiological and a biomechanical point of view. Furthermore it will be described in details a therapy plan about that diagnosis. Summary My bachelor thesis contains two main parts, the general part and the special part. In the general part I analyze the branches of anatomy, kinesiology and biomechanics for the ankle joint. In this part you can find also an overview of the ankle sprain and the physiotherapy examinations that need to be done in such situations. On the other hand, the special part is an extended report of my case study. There are included kinesiological examinations (initial-final) and the rehabilitation program that I followed day by day with my patient during my clinical work placement. At the end there are the final results and a conclusion Results The results of my case study were positive and this is deduced from the final outcome of my patient. At an early stage of the rehabilitation program, the patient had...
