analysis of inventory of construction work, materials and services
Mikulík, Michal ; Výskala, Miloslav (referee) ; Aigel, Petr (advisor)
Thesis is focused on the issue of compiling an inventory of works, supplies and services of the construction, which is part of the tender documentation for public contracts. The work deals with the issue of prices, budgets and the tender documentation itself. It also lists the most common errors in compiling a list of works, supplies and services in accordance to Decree No. 169/2016 Coll. Individual errors are written and subsequently analyzed according to selected parameters. Based on this analysis, a methodology for checking inventories of works, supplies and services is compiled.
Identification and assessment of errors in the production line and their prevention
Šurýn, Martin ; Lachnit, Zdeněk (referee) ; Kotek, Luboš (advisor)
This master’s thesis is focused on description and application of the FMEA method at the manufacturing company. The thesis is based on important steps such as introducing a knowledge database of all possible functions, failures, and countermeasures to minimize risks of a failure occurrence (detection, prevention), a failure assessment by Pareto analysis, and verification of the introduced template by a real project.
Identification and assessment of errors in the switchboards assembly line and their prevention
Smejkal, Marek ; Tabas, Marek (referee) ; Kotek, Luboš (advisor)
Project developed within the Master's degree study proposes the study focused to identify and assessment of errors on the modules switchboards assembly line, because manufacturing companies are under heavy pressure to reduce production costs. The solution is optimization the productions processes and increasing their productivity.
Problems of consonant gradation in Finnish as a second language
Kahounová, Petra ; Fárová, Lenka (advisor) ; Lindroosová, Hilkka (referee)
Author's name: Petra Kahounová School: Charles University, Prague, Faculty of Arts Institute of Linguistics and Finno-Ugric Studies Náměstí Jana Palacha 2, 116 38 Praha 1 Program: Finnish language Title: Problems of consonant gradation in Finnish as a second language Consultant: Mgr. Lenka Fárová, Ph.D. Number of pages: 65 + 11 pages of attachments Number of attachments: 5 Year: 2012 Keywords: gradation of consonants in Finnish, corpus, analysis of mistakes, direct gradation, reverse gradation, student's language The aim of this thesis is to explore and describe mistakes made in the consonant gradation in interlanguage by students of Finnish language. Finnish has a complicated system of inflection in comparison with indoeuropean languages, so it is necessary to know the rules to create the right form of the word. The mistakes were found in czech and polish students' texts and I tried to identify in which types of gradation they are most frequent. Particular mistakes were sorted into groups according to types of consonant clusters. I compared what mistakes czech and polish students make, which mistakes are the most frequent and if there are some any similarities between these two nations. I focused on explanation of wrong word forms.

Exploring case forms of Czech nouns and their ranking in semantic (collocational) classes
Schöne, Karin ; Kučera, Karel (advisor) ; Šebesta, Karel (referee) ; Šindelářová, Jaromíra (referee)
This dissertation aims to identify and analyse the frequency distribution of mor- phological forms of nouns in contemporary Czech. The work is based on an error analysis of texts of non-native speakers revealing and describing frequent types of errors in noun inflection. Against the background of recent research in the field of second language acquisition on the one hand and the principles of communicative approaches to language teaching on the other hand nine textbooks of Czech as a foreign language are analysed for approaches to the introduction and presentation of grammatical cases, their functions and typical constructions. It is concluded that it is necessary to exemplify case functions by prototypical constructions and sufficient sample nouns for which these functions are typical. With regard to the often observed emphasis on the noun as a part of the inflectional paradigm and thus on the nominative singular as its basic form, it is eligible for textbooks and language classes to shift the focus from the dominant paradigmatic to the syntag- matic aspect of nouns and their word forms. One of the initial questions of these theses therefore is which forms of a noun are essential to the adequate (didactical- ly oriented) presentation of the noun and its use. A pilot study conducted on the data of...
Numerické řešení nelineárních problémů konvekce-difuze pomocí adaptivních metod
Roskovec, Filip ; Vlasák, Miloslav (advisor) ; Feistauer, Miloslav (referee)
This thesis is concerned with analysis and implementation of Time discontinuous Galerkin method. Important part of it is constructing of algorithm for solving nonlinear convection-diffusion equations, which combines Discontinuous Galerkin method in space (DGFEM) with Time discontinuous Galerkin method (TDG). Nonlinearity of the problem is overcome by damped Newton-like method. This approach provides easy adaptivity manipulation as well as high order approximation with respect to both space and time variables. The second part of the thesis is focused on Time discontinuous Galerkin method, applied to ordinary differential equations. It is shown that the solution of Time discontinuous Galerkin equals the solution obtained by Radau IIA implicit Runge-Kutta method in the roots of right Radau Quadrature. By virtue of this relation, error estimates of the order higher by one than the standard order can be obtained in these points. Furthermore, almost two times higher order can be achieved in the endpoints of the intervals of time discretization. Finally, the thesis deals with the phenomenon of stiffness, which may dramatically decrease the order of the applied method. The theoretical results are verified by numerical experiments. Implementing Machine Translation in an SME
Hermanová, Barbora ; Svoboda, Tomáš (advisor) ; Špirk, Jaroslav (referee)
The thesis deals with the topic of implementation of machine translation (MT) in an SME with an emphasis on legal translation. The theoretical part brings together the existing research relevant for this topic, focusing in particular on the specifics of MT between Czech and English, the task of post-editing (PEMT), including the skills and competences required from post-editors, recommendations for, and experience with, MT implementation, MT evaluation, PEMT productivity and translator attitudes towards MT. In its empirical part, the thesis draws on a case study of MT implementation in a Czech language service provider (LSP), with a focus on selecting a suitable MT tool and incorporating it in the workflow. Furthermore, an experiment is performed with professional translators, aimed at measuring productivity of translation and post-editing in terms of the time spent in the respective tasks and analysing and comparing selected aspects of the output produced by the translators and post-editors participating in the experiment. The analytical model employed is an error-based human evaluation model. Lastly, a questionnaire is used to ascertain the experience of translators/post-editors with MT and their attitudes towards this technology. The thesis ultimately provides a set of findings that can be used...
