Analysis of the storage processes in IVECO Czech Republic, a.s.

This Bachelor's Thesis is devoted to the analysis of the current process of stock holding which is based on the optimization behavior of firm in its history. At first, for ensuring this objective in theoretical part there is clarified a number of knowledge of warehousing, which include the description of the storage processes and some types of storage methods. Furthermore, this thesis describes some methods used in the optimization, which include the tools of the principle of lean warehousing, ABC analysis and visual management. After that these methods are applied to the warehouse of firm IVECO Czech Republic, a.s., and the original processes of the warehouse are confronted with the current processes. From the presented findings are recommended proposals to improve the problems of storage processes that are consistent with a lean thinking.
Analysis of purchasing in Retigo s.r.o.

This bachelor's thesis analyses purchasing in a manufacturing company. For segmentation of purchased items this paper uses ABC and XYZ analysis, as well as Kraljic purchasing portfolio matrix. This work further deals with a selection and evaluation of suppliers and with the importance and formulation of a purchasing strategy. The aim of this work is to demonstrate the importance of a proper system of selection and evaluation of suppliers as well as the importance of the correct distribution of competencies in between employees. Further this paper thoroughly analyses present situation in the purchasing department of Retigo s.r.o. company. This paper then proposes structural changes within this department, including new segmentation of purchased products, proper formulation of purchasing strategy and assignment of competencies in between employees.
Store layout optimization for Linde Gas comp.

The diploma work is focused on a store layout optimization and the related areas. The work is divided into four parts where the first three parts described the theoretical thesis. The first chapter is about the marketing theory -- a customer's behavioral rules in a retail store and a correct store layout. The second chapter is based on the logistics theory and describes the methods of a range of goods categorization according to the different views. The third chapter is focused on the operations research theory and the assignment problem's models. The last chapter describes in detail a real example workflow -- the store layout optimization for Linde Gas Company. The objective is identification of the lucrative areas in the stores, the sold range of goods analysis and the creation of the store layout which will respect a customer's behavioral rules and which will also promote the sales of the selected goods.
Building relationship with customers in Supply Chain Management

Application of supply chain management is still relatively recent practice, but it's importance is growing over time. Today, in the era of customer centricity, in order to become competitive firms shouldn't avoid collaboration with it's supply chain partners. Purpose of my thesis was to find out how supply chain management can contribute to building relationship with customers, who are the basis of any existing company. First part summarizes knowledge about supply chain, compeptitive strategies, customers, types of supply chains and customer relationship management. Particular part is dedicated to customer service and how supply chain management can contribute to it's improving. It describes also what meaning has customer service for future competitiveness. In second part, I presented the case of Zappos.com. E-retailer, which aligning entire functional strategies and whole supply chain to common strategic purpose managed to build excellent relationship with it's customers.
Optimization of inventory of finished products in LASSELSBERGER Ltd.

The thesis deals with minimizing of the inventory of finished products in the ceramic industry. To reduce inventory the ABC and XYZ analysis was used for the sorting of products into the groups and particular ways were suggested to reduce inventories of finished products. In the theoretical part are described the theoretical assumptions for inventory management issues such as costs, demand, or different methods of inventory management. Then the technological process of production of ceramic tiles follows. In the practical part, entire knowledge of the theory is applied to the problems of ceramic tiles production in LASSELSBERGER, Ltd. It concerns specifically about 1284 products analyzed by using ABC and XYZ methods. Proposed methods and their effect on saving of storage space (storage space saving) were compared afterwards. The result of the work is a comprehensive product portfolio analysis of LASSELSBERGER, Ltd. indicating to company management, which economy measures will ensure the highest costs saving.
Marketing methods in practise

This bachelor thesis is focused on chosen marketing methods used in this discipline. In the thesis are used these analyses - SWOT analysis, Porter's model and ABC analysis. In literature survey is specified issue of marketing planning, situational analysis and especially issue of chosen marketing methods. In the following section are these analyses applied to the selected firm. Then they are evaluated from the view of concrete benefit for the company and also there is determined possible order in concrete situations in which the firm could be found.
The Management Of Stocks Of Spare Parts Logistics Chains

Thesis on the theme "The Management Of Stock Of Spare Parts Logistics Chains" deals with the specification of logistic chains, spare parts inventory management and functioning of these chains. The theoretical part focuses on the definition of the theoretical background needed to understand the functioning of these chains. It ranges from the definition of the logistics chain, through ABC analysis to the detailed characteristics of the chain of spare parts. Besides a general overview the thesis includes example from real practice. In the practical section, through simulation models thesis presents the operation and management of the spare parts logistics chains. The practical section shows the simulation model of the current situation and compares it with the model after the introduction of stock management in the company.
Management of a chosen Firm's Stock

The work deals with the management of stocks in a particular company. With the help of available literature focuses on the baseline situation in the company, describes the current system of inventory management of raw materials and proposes measures to improve the management of stocks in the selected raw materials warehouse. The aim of work is to change the current system in order to reduce the average physical stock, and thus a reduction in funds tied in stocks of raw materials. The basic thesis is ABC analysis of stock items made in the warehouse of raw materials.
