Time development analysis of treated lesion in spinal CT data
Nohel, Michal ; Jan, Jiří (referee) ; Jakubíček, Roman (advisor)
This diploma thesis is focused on time-development analysis of treated lesion in CT data. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology of the spine and vertebral bodies. It further describes diagnostic and therapeutic options for the detection and treatment of spinal lesions. It contains an overview of the current state of usage of time-development analysis in oncology. The problems of the available databases are discussed and new databases are created for subsequent analysis. Futhermore, the methodology of time-development analysis according to the shape characterization and the size of the vertebral involvement is proposed. The proposed methodological approaches to feature extraction are applied to the created databases. Their choice and suitability is discussed, including their potential for possible usege in clinical practice of monitoring the development and derivation of characteristic dependences of features on the patient's prognosis.
Searching for Similar 3D Models
Sálus, Ondřej ; Beran, Vítězslav (referee) ; Španěl, Michal (advisor)
Goal of this paper is development of aplication for comparing of 3D models. It deals with extraction od descriptors suitable for comparing of 3D models and enables to find models similar to users query. For extraction of descriptors application uses Reeb graph method. This paper also describes usage of libraries that implements Reeb graph method and some experiments with speed and quality over pre prepared models database.
The space data analysis
Burešová, Klára ; Štarha, Pavel (referee) ; Procházková, Jana (advisor)
This thesis deals with the analysis of spatial data and 3D descriptors for object recognition in scenes. The aim of the thesis was to study the issues of working with 3D data and to make a study of different types of 3D descriptors. In this work, we analyzed some descriptors in terms of their ability to describe and quantify the properties of objects in three-dimensional space. Based on this analysis, we selected a suitable descriptor for object recognition in scenes and implemented it. The result of this work is a deeper understanding of 3D descriptors and their applications in spatial data analysis. Our implementation of the selected descriptor provides a basis for further research and development in object recognition in 3D scenes.
