Violence against women as one of the risk factors of female homelessness
VOHLÍDALOVÁ, Petra
This thesis focuses on homeless women and violence against them as one of the risk factors. The aim is to define the motivational factors preventing homeless women from leaving a violent relationship. The thesis is divided into three main areas. The first part focuses on homelessness and the specificities of homeless women. The second part focuses on the pro-issues of violence and the third part focuses on the motivations and disentangling the very factors that lead homeless women to remain in violent relationships. The work also includes case studies in the form of interviews with the clients of the low-threshold day centre of the St. Paul's House in České Budějovice, which help us to look at some of the issues from the perspective of the clients themselves, and are thus a practical contribution to the complexity of the whole work.

Müllerová, Anna ; Němcová Tejkalová, Alice (advisor) ; Macková, Veronika (referee)
This thesis, complemented with 32-minute long radio documentary, focuses on the gender aspects on women's homelessness. Women often have to face difficulties that lagerly differ from men's homelessness, specifically when it comes to hygiene, violence, motherhood, seuxal violence and drug abuse. Testimonies of social services employees and experts in the field are intended to outline the complex issue, but also to introduce the solution - services that specialize in women's homelessness. The practical part is above all based on interviews with three homeless women, which are intended to provide authentic insight into the phenomenon. As sources, I will use available academic literature and other public sources, as well as interviews with experts that were specifically created for the purposes of this thesis.

Life goals of mothers with children in a shelter house.
SKALOVÁ, Pavla
In the bachelor thesis, I tried to identify life goals of mothers living with their children in the emergency shelter. The qualitative research was used conducted by interviewing and a semi-structured interview. The data was further divided into several clusters based on the grouping of the various choices. The aim of thesis is to identify life goals of mothers with children in an emergency shelter. Target file is composed of mothers with children, staying at an emergency shelter in the South Region. To determine the aims best, we must at first uncover the specific causes that led mothers to their choice. In the theoretical part, I dealt with basic concepts associated with the topic, namely the family and its concept, the functional family, a crisis, stress, etc. The research results provide us with a comprehensive overview of the situation of women who dwell in the emergency shelter. They illustrate not only the specific causes of their arrival to the shelter, the topical reasons for their inability to work, but also whether they are trying to somehow solve the situation. The results also describe the values considered by informants to be the most important in their lives, and also how these values influence their choice of life goals. On the basis of the results of the research, the main reasons for the onset of the interviewed women in the emergency shelter were determined, such as a non-existent social network of family and the absence of a stable partner that would help them in a difficult situation. This situation certainly has influence on the choice of their life values which they possess, and which very significantly influence their chosen life goals. The findings that the thesis bring, in my opinion, may help not only social workers and workers in social service of emergency shelters, to better understand the problems of women in crisis situations, but also to improve the quality and progress of interventions with women who come to emergency shelters.
