The second part describes the design of a waveguide slot antenna. The third part contains procedures for designing a SIW slot antenna and the fourth part describes the design of 3x2 antenna array that is integrated into 3,4 mm thick textile with relative permittivity r = 1,2 with greater main lobe width requirements and side lobe suppression. The last part summarizes the results.

Slot antenna
Dvořák, Petr ; Horák, Jiří (referee) ; Láčík, Jaroslav (advisor)
This thesis discusses Slot antennas that are based in gap waveguide technology, which allows them to work with high frequency signals. It contains theoretical findings about antennas and waveguides, which are later used in the design. The practical section of this thesis concentrates on designing a specific gap waveguide for 10 and 24 GHz frequencies, starting with modeling and parameter optimalization. This gap waveguide is then used as a base for slot antenna design. The final antenna is designed for frequency of 10 GHz, for both linear and right-handed circular polarizations. With right-handed circular polarization, the achieved band was approximately 1.41 GHz, while the gain was 7,6 dB.
HMSIW linearly polarized slot antenna array
Horák, Lukáš ; Pítra, Kamil (referee) ; Hubka, Patrik (advisor)
In this work is proposed a HMSIW linearly polarized slot antenna arrays. The first antenna array is composed of four U-shape slots and the second antenna array is composed of four U-shape slots with three patches placed near the magnetic wall of HMSIW. The patches improve radiating parametrs of the proposed antenna array. The proposed antenna arrays are manufactured a measured.
Half Mode Substrate Integrated Waveguide Slot Antennas
Hubka, Patrik ; Schejbal, Vladimír (referee) ; Pánek,, David (referee) ; Láčík, Jaroslav (advisor)
This dissertation deals with the research of slot antennas based on a half-mode substrate-integrated waveguide (HMSIW). By using HMSIW, the physical size of the antenna is reduced by approximately half while maintaining excellent antenna performance. The thesis is consists of two factual parts. The first one (Chapter 4) proposes and describes linearly and circularly polarized HMSIW polarized U-slot antenna. The combination of these two antennas resulted in a polarization reconfigurable HMSIW slot antenna. The functionality of all these antennas are experimentally verified. These antennas achieve better performance compared to current developments of the similar HMSIW antennas. The functionality of the linearly and circularly polarized antenna are further investigated in deep by characteristic modal analysis and parametric procedure. Based on those investigations, design guides of those antennas are proposed. The second one (Chapter 5) deals with design and description of the simple circularly polarized HMSIW U-slot antenna array with linear organization of 1 × 4 basic radiators. The experimental verification proved that the antenna array with a simple feeding network achieved the competitive performance in comparison to the similar antenna array described in the literature.

Increase of operation frequency of printed antennas
Havlík, Vojtěch ; Láčík, Jaroslav (referee) ; Raida, Zbyněk (advisor)
The thesis is focused on the design of a slot antenna integrated into a textile substrate. In the thesis, antennas operating at the frequency 5.8 GHz and 24.125 GHz (ISM bands) were designed. Functionality of the antennas was verified by simulation performed in the program CST Microwave Studio. The antennas consist of a textile integrated waveguide and a coplanar waveguide which adapts the waveguide characteristic impedance to 50 of the input coaxial connector. As a substrate, we used a 3D textile material.
Linearly polarized slot antenna in proximity of human body
Hermány, Roman ; Láčík, Jaroslav (referee) ; Hubka, Patrik (advisor)
In this bacherol thesis, a linearly polarized slot antenna in proximity of human body is proposed. The core of the work is a theme of U-type slot antenna, which is created on the half-mode substrate integrated waveguide. This structure is designed at the 5.8 GHz Wi-Fi band. Simulation and measurement prove that the proposed antenna radiates electromagnetic wave perpendicular to the antenna plane with linear horizontal polarization. Simulated and measured gain of the antenna is 6.51 and 6.52 dBi, respectively. Simulated and measured impedance bandwidth of the proposed antenna is 1.9 %. The minimum of measured reflection coefficient is slightly shifted by10 MHz to the lower frequencies due to the manufacture tolerance. The antenna placed in proximity of the phantom of the human body achieves very good radiation performance.
