What the students learned in art classes

This thesis has character of the research has focused on the recogni tion of art istic educational gains in art lessons by teachers and pupils in pr imary school . The thesis is based on empi rical research consisting of three phases of research that address the issues examined using three dif ferent methods. The research in i ts stages involved students of the fourth year of primary school in Prague 10, teachers of pr imary school level and in the thi rd stage were examined entr ies in the books of class thi rd to f if th grade. The results show how the pupi ls evaluate their work and what is best and the most important in the art lesson. Objectives of the framework curriculum in the practice of art education

This thesis deals with analysis of the Framework Educational Program for Elementary Education (FEP EE) and finding means to meet the objectives of FEP EE in art education which leads to a concept of seventh grade curriculum. Thesis also reflects the author's personal approach to the formulation of the contents of the curriculum. The theoretical part focuses on examining the FEP EE and finding means to meet objectives in the form of curriculum concept for the seventh grade. The findings of the theoretical part is complemented by comparison of curricular documents for art subjects of Czech Republic and Great Britain. The empirical part describes the procedures for defining the curriculum concept. It includes transmission analysis of the FEP EE objectives to the content of the curriculum, which is based primarily on teaching practice. Analysis is followed by personal perception of the FEP EE requirements in the form of teaching aimed at the creating process and by description of the analyzing process of author`s teaching in connection with the FEP EE concept exploration at selected elementary schools. My Favourite Hero

This thesis is considering the definition of a hero in interesting contexts of different historical periods. It monitors preferences and changes. It gives examples of some heroes, idols and celebrities. Analyzes different identification of favorite heroes by children 7-11 years old at the primary school. It identifies from where the children know their favorite hero and which hero is mentioned by most children. The work shows the possibility of the topic "popular hero" at the school practice.
