The theme of two year masters programme was five senses in architecture. The final project is thermal baths in swiss town Yverdon Les Bains, where are currenctly situated baths which do not meet the spa requirements in terms of capacity, operation or eastetics. The aim of the project is not only to design the new spa building, but also to solve miserable situation of the site, to develop the topic of spa in a park, the relationship to the historical buildings of rotunda, hotel and villa Entremont and to solve the spacial organization of the bath house itself, which is both for relaxation and healing. Part of the project is also to expand the accomodation capacity into the new hotel building.

LAUSANNE – PLAINES DU LOUP: sustainable city development

The diploma thesis raises the question of how to live differently and suggests living in the Swiss city of Lausanne. The master plan contains the basic parameters, 5,500 inhabitants, 3,000 jobs, 550,000 m2 of gross floor area. Housing is in the neighborhood of the elementary school, the design of which is thus part of the assignment. Thinking about buildings is in connection with modern standards of ecological construction. The design is based on an analysis of the environment and architectural and urban considerations about how to live well and healthily. The development of the project is shown from the concept, to a more detailed solution of the facades.

Spa building as a symbiotic organism of the park. Principle pouring mass between the trees comes from finding intimacy important for the spa, and the genius loci of the park. The dialogue and the interpenetration of interior and exterior, walking in the park and inside the building, the play of light and vistas are the subject of this work, which produces organic architecture, not as a mere form, but as a result of a thorough analysis of the Site. Park becomes part of the building, creating green bays, thanks to which all the rooms gain the same qualities. Architecture defined by the flow of air and light, scent of spa water. Visitation of the spa as an irreducible complex of impressions that stimulate our senses.

Theresienstadt Jews and the Musy action as an example of forced migration conditioned by the Holocaust

This bachelor thesis focuses on the rescue operation called Terezín-St.Gallen or "Musy- Transport", through which 1 200 prisoners were transferred from the Theresienstadt concentration camp to Switzerland in February 1945. Through the use of secondary sources, audio-visual testimonies, and archival materials, it examines the circumstances under which the rescue of these Jewish prisoners took place, and analyses the situation of the participants in the Swiss refugee camps in the context of this campaign. It also tackles the question of whether the Musy-transport was intended to be a liberation campaign or whether the people involved in organization of the operation had their own self-serving intentions.

Comparison of Personal Income Tax in the Czech Republic and Switzerland

The bachelor thesis is focused on the comparison of personal taxation in the Czech Republic and Switzerland. The theoretical part defines the basic concepts term to personal income tax. The analytical part compares the structural elements of the tax and the proposal part contains solutions to individual model examples. It focuses mainly on income from employment. The tax systems of each countries are reviewed and the advantages and disadvantages are point out.

Czechs and Slovaks in the country of helvetian cross: czechoslovak expatriate clubs in Switzerland in the second half of the 20th century

This thesis deals with the development and activities of compatriot organizations of Czechs and Slovaks in the 20th century that were associated in the Union of clubs of Czechs and Slovaks in Switzerland. The first clubs, which did not last long, were established in the 1860s. The origins of more stable organizations date back to the beginning of the twentieth century, when clubs such as Czechoslovak Beseda Slovan in Geneva and Czechoslovak Beseda Svatopluk Čech in Zurich were established. These organizations expanded after the big emigrant wave caused by the Warsaw Pact invasion of Czechoslovakia. This period between the years 1968 and 1990 is the main objective of the following research. The thesis is divided into four chapters. The first one introduces some basic notions needed for the thesis and puts the existence of compatriot clubs in Switzerland in a broader context. At the same time, it deals with the most important emigrant waves from Czechoslovakia with emphasis on those emigrants that left for Switzerland. The second chapter deals with the very development of compatriot movement in Switzerland before the critical year 1968. New trends in European Football - analysis of elaborate attack

Title: New trends in European Football - analysis of elaborate attack Objectives: The main objektive of this thesis is to explore current trends in modern football. Based on the monitoring of leading European players and football teams, in our case its Switzerlandand and Spain, we would like to analyze offensive system of elaborate attack in chosen matches. Based on the data to evaluate the success of elaborate attack, as it stands in comparison with other offensive systems, as it is used in the individual matches, which puts demands on team and individual players requirements. Then, on the base of following models, evaluate individual situations that lead to a successful overcome of defensive players, and use those data to draw conclusions in the training process for training practice. Methods: This work uses the method of indirect observation in particular matches, that I had available, thanks to the video. The elaborate attack will be monitored in several categories and will be carefully analyzed in qualitative and quantitative terms. Based on these analyzes are developed exercises that can be used in the training process.
