Special educational support for pupils with visual impairment in English language teaching in primary schools

The research work describes the realization of special educational support for pupils with visual impairment (VI) in English language teaching in primary mainstream schools and describe the most common problems that occurs during the lessons. The reserch explores the use of didactic and technical assistive devices teachers and students, enrichment and analyzes the most frequently selected pedagogical approaches and methods of work. The students and teachers evaluate each language area under the expected outputs FEP (Valid for the school year 2012/2013). The target group are students with VI basic mainstream schools and their teachers. Recent studies exp. of special education centers describe and propose how to educate pupils with SEN, specifies the methods, procedures, forms and work with the pupils. To achieve the research objectives, the following procedures : a critical analysis of literature, questionnaires for teachers and pupils, comparing the outputs of the survey group of teachers - students. The research included 50 students with VI integrated in primary schools in the Czech and 47 teachers. Research only partially confirmed the hypothesis that students with VI harder to cope with the English language than students intact. The main principles of work with VI student are not fully observed....
John Dewey: Experience and Education

This thesis deals with terms like experience and experiential learning in publications by John Dewey. The aim of this thesis is to find out how John Dewey works with issues of experiential learning. The thesis is structured in six main chapters. Each chapter is relevant to one Dewey´s book, which is related to experiential learning theory. In the first chapter, there are general thoughts of experiential learning from Experience and Nature. In the second chapter, Art as Experience is analysed, in which Dewey researches experience connected with art and aesthetics. The third chapter presents an analysis of The Child and The Curriculum, focused on curriculum from the point of experimental learning. The fourth chapter is concerned with The School and Society, in which there are obvious thoughts of experiential learning from educational and social perspective. The fifth chapter is based on Democracy and Education, where John Dewey thinks about experiential learning and its consequences for an individual in democratic society. Last chapter analyses Experience and Education, which sums up and complements the previous publications.

Applacation of experiential education in practical activities of children in nursery school

Ing Jitka Vodáková, CSc. Abstract: The objective of this bachelor's thesis is to analyze experiential education and its role in pre-school education. The aim is to demonstrate on particular examples the positive influence experiential education has on child's personality development between the age of 3 and 7. The thesis explains general principles used in experiential education such as motivation, rules, evaluation of the process, psychological aspects, and teachers' training. The analysis reflects the historical context which led to the development of experiential education. Additionally, it draws upon scientific knowledge about child's development; namely, personality and social development, speech development, and development of perceptional, cognitive, and motor skills. The thesis also explains the importance of practical activities, narration, and role-playing in pre- school education. The Creation of a School Curriculum for preschool Education

The aim of my work is to confirm the benefits of the creation of the school curriculum and to improve the education in the particular kindergarten. The theoretical part contains a starting point of the current preschool education, the school curriculum and principles and progressive steps of the creation of the school curriculum. In the practical part a student checks the consecutive steps in her workplace. She qualifies the appropriateness of certain teamwork techniques which were recomended in the literature and describes a particular course of the creation and the program´s impact on education in the kindergarten. The final school curriculum for preschool education is a part of this work.
