Data selection and optimisation of cutting conditions for progressive production technologies
Baklík, Lukáš ; Sliwková, Petra (referee) ; Píška, Miroslav (advisor)
This thesis discusses a change of an existing surface grinding technology for a more effective technology of face milling for the finishing operation of the jaw (for a hydraulic machine vise) in a tempered state with hardness of 53+4 HRC. The jaw is made of tool steel according to the Czech standard CSN41 9312. Two new versions are proposed for the new technology. Progressive cutting materials are listed for milling. A suitable tool is selected. Total production costs and machine times for cutting conditions of the chosen tool are predicted. In the experimental part, the cutting conditions are verified in practice.
Rationalization of segment production of the forming tool
Pilař, Radek ; Kalivoda, Milan (referee) ; Osička, Karel (advisor)
Master thesis is focused on the rationalization of production of the forming segment, which is manufactured by company OMNI-X CZ. Familiarization with the product „forming segment“, with issue of production with possibility improvment. The work is also focused on the preparation of the clamping fixture, which should improve the production conditions. The main point of the work include the calculation of cutting forces, clamping forces of the fixture, verification of safety process with economic evaluation. The aim of this master thesis is to indicate the possible direction of the rationalization of the manufacturing of the shaping segments for OMNI-X CZ.
Prediction of cutting forces and quality of surface when milling with high feeds
Mikel, Pavel ; Humár, Anton (referee) ; Píška, Miroslav (advisor)
Theoretical study describes force analysis and quality of surface when milling. In the experiment the emphasis is on determining forces and surface quality in milling in response to changes in feed rate. Especially determination of specific cutting force kc and cutting force Fc at materials from aluminium alloy AlSi9Cu3, titanium alloy Ti6Al4V and steel C45, the used tool was a milling cutter for high feeds. In the experimental section is furthermore contained statistical evaluation data which demonstrate a certain prediction changes of cutting load and surface roughness when changing feeds.
Issue of Internal Tension in Materials during Machining of Thin-walled Components
Osička, Petr ; Chladil, Josef (referee) ; Sedlák, Josef (advisor)
This master thesis focuses on analysing the origins of residual stress in material caused by face milling. Representatives of three groups of aluminum alloys (5000, 6000, 7000) are compared by measurements. For measuring of the residual stress in aluminum alloys, the hole-drilling method was used by applying tensometric rosettes. In order to determine the influence of the used milling cutters', flatness of the machined surface was analyzed by comparative method. The thesis concludes with a discussion and an overall evaluation of the results.
Verification of surface roughness and recommended cutting conditions after milling using tool with inserts
Novotný, Vojtěch ; Fiala, Zdeněk (referee) ; Zemčík, Oskar (advisor)
My bachelor’s thesis aims at practical testing inserts. The first part includes a theoretical analysis of problems connected with main tested parts. Especially, there is a description of face milling, surface structure after face milling and wear of the cutting tool. Next, an experiment is designed and performed, describing the machine used, the cutting tool, inserts, cutting conditions, material for testing and basic experiment criteria. In last part results of the test are presented and optimal value for cutting speed.
The influence of PVD coating on tool life of cutting inserts during face milling
Jašek, Petr ; Fiala, Zdeněk (referee) ; Jaroš, Aleš (advisor)
This diploma thesis is aimed on durability of PVD and CVD coatings for symmetrical face milling. The theoretical part describes the characteristics of cemented carbides, milling technology and the characteristics of the coating methods. The experimental part describes the machine tool, used tools, workpiece material and cutting conditions. The aim of the work was to measure the cutting forces and tool wear during the milling. Based on experiment, it is clear that the PVD coatings with nano-layers achieves to the longer life in comparison with others and generally, that the using of coatings leads to reduction of cutting powers and lifetime was increased.
Application of PVD coatings for face milling
Jaroš, Aleš ; Humár, Anton (referee) ; Píška, Miroslav (advisor)
Diploma thesis is focused on the application of PVD coatings for face milling. The theoretical part, systematically, deals with the division of coating methods. PVD method is stressed here. Treatment of material before coating is described as well. The machine, the machine tool and cutting material is described in the experimental section. The aim of the work was comparison of coating exchangeable cutting tips (VBD) to uncoated ones. Based on experiment, it is clear that the use of PVD coatings resulted in reduction of cutting powers and lifetime was increased.
Design of the fixture for the clamping of the machined part
Pilař, Radek ; Kubík, Roman (referee) ; Strejček, Jan (advisor)
Bachelor’s thesis is focused on design for clamping of machined part on CNC machine EC-1600. Familiarization with issue, including a theory that is necessary for desing and manufactrure of the fixture. There are made design of options fixture, calculations of cutting forces, clamping forces, verification of safety and economic evaluation. The aim is to create the documentation that discusses all information regarding to a proposal fixture clamp of managment of the compandy OMNI-X CZ.
