Possibilities and limits of events promoting children sport participation - case study of Sazka Olympic multiple event

Title: Possibilities and limits of events promoting children sport participation - case study of Sazka Olympic multiple event Objectives: The aim of the study work is to evaluate the organization and success rate of the project "Sazka Olympic multiple event". The study analyses the possibilities and limits of the project, and provides recommendations how to improve the project in the following years. Methods: The study is a case study and uses mostly qualitative methods of research. Data collected from interviews and document analyses are then evaluated by the SWOT analysis. Results: The results of the study are proposals and recommendations for organization of "Sazka Olympic multiple event" which promotes children sport participation. The case study revealed both strengths and weaknesses of the project and defined its opportunities and threats. The recommendations may be used for the future realization of the project. Title: Analysis of the sporting achievements of young Czech athletes at the European Olympic Youth Festivals (EYOF) and Youth Olympic Games (YOG) following their participation and sports results at Olympics Objectives: The aim of this diploma thesis is to process an overview of the participation and sports results of young Czech athletes at the EYOF and YOG, followed by analysis and statistical evaluation how these athletes got on in competitions of the Olympic Games Methods: Because of the specific topic, structure of the whole thesis and used methods had to be customized to our needs. First two subsections of the analytical part are kind of descriptive-analytic research, therefore it is theoretical work. Other subsections contain statistical-analysis and explanation of the obtained data. This part of the work is based on a secondary analysis of data, and thus it is a research method of qualitative research. Results: In the first part of analytic section we processed on overview of the participation of young athletes and their sport results at the EYOF and YOG between the years 1991 and 2015. A comparison of the marketing communication of the Czech Olympic Committee and the Czech Paralympic Committee in 2014 and proposal of their mutual cooperation

The goal of this work is to propose efficiency improvements in marketing cooperation of the Czech Olympic Committee and the Czech Paralympic Committee on the grounds of the comparison of their marketing communication. Special focus is given to the goals of equal conditions for non-handicapped and handicapped sportsmen at all performance levels. I used the descriptive analysis in this work and as a result I propose specific communication solutions that should lead to fulfilling the goal of the work. On the grounds of the comparison and analysis of the communication of mentioned subjects I expect that a close cooperation can lead to savings in marketing as well as a growth of the supporters base, improvement in media coverage and increased revenues as a result of such changes.

Title: Corporate Identity of the Czech Olympic Committee Objectives: The thesis contains an analysis of recent image of corporate identity (CI) of the Czech Olympic Committee. The main objective of the thesis is an evaluation of the CI of the organization and a comparison with the arranged theoretical knowledge of contemporary literature. The outcome of the analysis is the suggestions and references to improve the area of CI. All of these suggestions will help to create new projects and more effective CI of the following organization. Methods: The thesis could be divided into two parts. The first part - theoretical - is dealing with the problems of theoretical knowledge which is available in the contemporary literature. The second part of the thesis contains the analysis, the comparison, the critical evaluation and suitable (realistic) recommendations for the creation of the optimal CI. The relevant data were obtained from the available documents and from the interviews with the members of the organisation. The rest of the data was obtained from author's personal expierence from the organisation where participated in an internship. Title: Motivations and objectives of the Czech Olympic team partners Supervisor: Mgr. William Crossan PhD Objectives: The aim of the thesis is to identify motivations of companies for entering into partnership with the Czech Olympic team. Furthermore, to examine objectives sought through the sponsorship agreement and determine their importance for each company. Findings are subsequently compared with those of similar studies made in past. Part of this thesis is dedicated to the analysis of marketing of the Czech Olympic committee and partners opinion concerning the Olympic park Sochi - Letná 2014. Methods: Qualitative research through semi-structured interviews conducted with sponsor representatives and the marketing director of the Czech Olympic committee. In-depth study of similarly oriented sponsor motivation research was also made. Sponsors were also asked to rank the importance of given sponsorship objectives. Results: The main motivation behind the decision to become a Czech Olympic team partner was found to be the connection with a strong, unique brand, as well as the desire to exploit the positive perception of the Olympic attributes with the possibility of its transfer to the partner. Title: The Children and Youth Olympics in the Czech Republic in the sports, economy and marketing sphere Objectives: The main aim of this work is to analyse all the available documents of all the individual Children and Youth Olympics in the Czech Republic from 2003 to 2013 in the sports, economy and marketing sphere. Methods: Dissertation is divided into three parts based on data from relevant Czech Olympic Comittee documents. The first part is primarily about sport and analyses success of the Children and Youth Olympics athletes at International Games. The second part focuses on budget of particulars Games. And the third part contains analysis of marketing support - partnership, media support, merchandising and information leaflets. Results: We can observe positive results at all three areas - sports, economy and marketing. The Children and Youth Olympics s based on strong platform that helps to spread olympic idea among young people in the Czech Republic. Olympism with respect to the Intellectual Property law Intellectual property is a branch of law affecting, with various intensity, a lot of fields of human life and, together with technical development and globalisation of human life, is becoming more and more topical, which, vice versa, implicates an intensive development of the branch of law itself. Olympism is a traditional concept evoking sports ideas, profound experience of performance based on physical and mental preparedness and capacity, emotions and in a way also a life philosophy and intellectual values, but also, more and more, a significant economic factor. This thesis is based on a strong respect to both of these concepts, namely to the intellectual property and to the branch of law studying this field, analysing and developing it, and to the Olympism and its persisting undisputable sense and effect, and on the conviction about coherence of these notions both in terms of law and in terms of ordinary human life. Analysis of the bidding process of Prague for Summer Olympic Games 2016

Title: Analysis of the bidding process of Prague for Summer Olympic Games 2016 Objectives: The aim of this thesis is the analysis of Prague's bid for Summer Olympic Games 2016, the following determination of main causes of his failure and than a suggestion of the future steps leading towards the future organisation of Olympic Games. Methods: We have used three managerial methods in this thesis. It was at first the system approach that identifies all stakeholders and their relations, which are all connected. This method permits to understand our subject as a complete system. After that SWOT analysis of the bid and the Fishbone diagram was used to identify main causes of the bid's failure. Results: Main six causes were identified that have caused the failure of the Prague's bid. These causes are more a kind of internal serious problems that show that Prague is not ready yet for organising Olympic Games. Following suggestions for future steps are reacting on these results. The aim of that is to make a long-term strategy to improve the environment and relations between the sport and state and prepare good conditions in the country for the next Olympic bid. Marketing development and analysis of the ČOV focused on sponsorship

Title: Marketing development and analysis of the ČOV focused on sponsorship Objectives: The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the marketing development since the marketing agency Česká olympijská a.s. was established, partners satisfaction with the counter-offer and the formulation of recommendations for its improvement. Methods: In this work we used a mixed research that we have done through the analysis of texts and documents, questionnaire and a SWOT analysis. Documents provide us an overview of the Czech Olympic Committee and its marketing activities. The questionnaire was used to express partners satisfaction with cooperation with the ČOV. SWOT analysis provided us with evaluation of internal and external factors affecting ČOV. Results: We found out that every Olympic cycle marketing proceeded, it was trying to bring new sources of financing and create various campaigns to raise awareness about the partners. Economics of sports organization

This work deals with the economics of sports organizations and the overall analysis of the current state of funding for sport in the Czech Republic, its benefits, health benefits, and also comparison with other countries within the European Union. The main sponsor of sport in the Czech Republic is the Ministry of Education Youth and Sports, which in co-operation with the umbrella organizations reallocate resources to support sports through grant programs. The goal of this thesis is to analyze the management of two key umbrella organizations and representatives of Czech sports the Czech Olympic Committee and the Czech Union of Sport and to propose recommendations for improving the system of redistribution of funds, including the definition of the highest sports authority, which is will be able to represent the interests of the sport towards international institutions, legislative bodies, government institutions, regional and district authorities, lottery companies or potential sponsors.
