The Ideal City Žarnovica: New urban development Na lieskovci
Kordíková, Laura ; Brašeň, Matej (referee) ; Kratochvíl, Jan (advisor)
The assignment of the work is based on the new spatial plan in cooperation with the mayor of the city, with whom various forms of city development were discussed and subsequently one of the parts of the spatial plan was selected, which will be processed in the form of an urban-architectural study. The aim of this thesis is to propose the connection between Žarnovica and the town district of Žarnovická Huta, with the new town district of Na lieskovci. The main points of the study will be the transport connections between the city and the urban district, the housing proposal supplemented with suitable functions of civic amenities and new recreational facilities for the bike park, which is located closely to the site. Within housing, we will try to create enough variations for different groups of the population, from smaller apartments to family houses. Thanks to the mixing of groups of people and the combination of housing with civic amenities, we will create a functioning whole connecting all the surrounding parts of the city.
Koprivnice 3.0 - Housing A++
Bubeníková, Zuzana ; Rusín, Tomáš (referee) ; Nový, Vítězslav (advisor)
This diploma thesis is aimed at the strategic plan for new use of a plot owned by the town of Kopřivnice, which formerly accomodated exterior handball courts with adjacent facilities and a restaurant, the so-called “Házeňák”. The design follows up the pre-diploma project, which analyses the building theory of socialist urban planning, precisely regarding the zoned city and its influence on the form of the town Kopřivnice as well as the life of its inhabitants. The master planning of the choosen plot relies on the alternation of free urban space and buildings of adequate scale, which respects the existing restaurant building. The typology of the designed buildings combines administration, commercial ground floor and residential floors with the access to roof terraces. The detail of the choosen development strategy is demonstrated on the design of an apartment building which implements the “Baugruppe” construction model consisting of twelve model households. The individual requirements of these households are reflected in the separate layouts of the apartments. The materiality of this apartment building reacts to the observation of the surrounding development and an unmistakeable character of the town. The design of the facade also takes into account the individuality of the households and dynamically reacts to the life in the new neighborhood.
Koprivnice 3.0 - Housing A++
Bitarová, Ivana ; Vlček, Zuzana (referee) ; Nový, Vítězslav (advisor)
The master's thesis is a proposal for an urban-architectural study on the territory of the former handball court in Kopřivnica. The work is a continuation of the pre-master's thesis, in which I searched for and investigated the ideal form of housing in Kopřivnice. Corporate housing is a response to the problem of unaffordable housing and socio-economic conditions in the city. The search for the ideal of corporate housing resulted in the concept of low intensive development with the creation of spaces between buildings, flowing from public, through semi-public and semi-private to private. This idea creates spaces for spending time within the community and spaces for relaxation surrounded by edible plants. The proposal emphasizes the positive impact of housing on landowners. The transition from a busier environment to a more intimate one is also reflected in the design of the gallery 's apartment building, where the gallery is the place of frequent interaction with the neighbors. Private exterior space is represented by loggias equipped with sliding shading panels. In addition to shade and privacy, perforated panels also create the effect of a living facade, as their position changes depending on the time of day or season. The design of the apartment building is designed as a modular prefabricated construction. In the study, I present 14 modular apartments, from which the investor can construct an apartment building according to his own requirements.
Apartment building, Trnava
Škrabák, Matej ; Vala, Richard (referee) ; Müller, Jan (advisor)
The subject of the bachelor's thesis is the design of an apartment building located on the outskirts of the city of Trnava, Slovakia. The building land is situated on the eastern side of the city, where several residential buildings are currently under construction or planned. It is a three-story, partially basement building with a vegetation roof and an entrance facing west. The primary shape is a prism with a indented section containing the staircase, elevator, and providing access to a communal terrace. The basement contains a technical room, laundry room, bicycle garage with a stroller storage area, and storage units. The building comprises twelve residential units of two categories: 3+kk (nine apartments) and 1+kk (three apartments), with four apartments on each above-ground floor. The apartments on the first floor have private front yards facing east, while all apartments on the second and third floor have suspended balconies. The common areas, starting from the entrance hall, including corridors leading to the individual apartments separated by swinging doors, a staircase space spanning to all floors, and an elevator servicing the ground floor, first floor, second floor, and third floor, without the machine room. The structural system of the building is two-way system, consisting of ceramic bricks in the above-ground floors and fromwork fittings in the basement. The external walls are insulated with an external thermal insulation composite system ETICS. The horizontal structures consist of prestressed ceiling panels SPIROLL. The apartment building is founded on simple concrete strip foundations. The majority of the building is covered with a flat vegetation roof that can be accessed, while the area above the staircase features an inaccessible flat roof with rounded gravel ballast.
Polyfunctional zone MOŘICE okr. Prostějov
Orinčák, Denis ; Vojtová, Lea (referee) ; Dýr, Petr (advisor)
The topic of the diploma thesis is the Mořice Agricultural Business Cooperative. (Hereinafter referred to as ZOD Mořice). This topic is a continuation of the pre-diploma project ZOD Mořice -Vitčice area. ZOD Mořice owns 4 complexes of agricultural facilities. Mořice - Vitčice - Vrchoslavice- Pavlovice u Kojetína. The main concept consists of the division of operations into individual complexes, according to the analyses and ideas of the investor. Vrchoslavice - livestock production (existing, not addressed). Pavlovice u Kojetína - business (proposal - lower years). Vitčice - housing for pensioners with limited mobility and independent pensioners (proposal -pre-diploma project). Mořice - architectural and urban planning study of the area, supplemented by housing units for workers and starter homes (proposal - diploma thesis). I am proposing to place silos and a biogas plant in the area and adding a building for recycling solar panels. The recycling operation will be in one of the existing warehouse buildings. I am also suggesting reserve areas for future use for the sale of homemade products. The most detailed part that is addressed in the thesis is the housing units. The housing units will be used, as service apartments and starter homes, possibly for housing for pensioners without mobility limitations. The concept follows the basic axis of existing buildings and streets. The design uses a housegarden relation. I am trying to preserve the structure of the village and not to create urban elements in it. The roofs are gabled. The facades made of brick strips are meant to make it clear that the houses are close to the industrial zone. I am separating the entire set of dwelling units from the agricultural area with a mound of earth that is on the site and has no other use.
Soil solution - supramolecular architecture and stability of dissolved organic matter
Trubková, Eliška ; Doskočil, Leoš (referee) ; Enev, Vojtěch (advisor)
This final thesis is focused on the complex physico-chemical characterization of soil solutions, especially with a focus on the study of the stability and molecular architecture of dissolved organic matter. The subject of the study was six soil solutions obtained from lysimeters in the Závišín locality. Three soil solution samples were taken in December 2022 and the remaining three samples were taken one month later in January 2023, at horizons at 40, 60 and 80 cm below the soil surface. Characterization of soil solutions included measurements of their pH and conductivity. Mass and optical emission spectrometry with inductively coupled plasma was used to determine the concentration of cations. The determination of the total dissolved organic matter content was carried out according to the technical standard ČSN 75 7536 and the values of absorption coefficients were calculated using UV/Vis spectrometry. Functional groups and basic structures of soil solutions were identified based on the evaluated spectra from infrared spectrometry with Fourier transformation. The main contribution was fluorescence spectrometry, which was used to determine the fluorescence intensities of A–fulvic-like and C–humic-like fluorophores. Particle size was also measured using dynamic light scattering and zeta potential, which was a suitable indicator of the stability of selected soil solution samples. The obtained results very well characterized both individual soil solutions and dissolved organic matter.

Turčan, Andrej ; Křikavová, Iva (referee) ; Koleček, Ivan (advisor)
Project for the new houses of city library and mediatheque, solves the concept of redesigning the old industry area Sevelin in the city of Lausanne, Switzerland. Here should the new social and education district takes place, what brings a new metropolitan lifestyle. Two objects of library and mediatheque end up the rows of rational city grid at this platform. They define the new open space in between as a new entrance area on the platform Sevelin. It becomes also the extension of library activities to the urban space. Here also the new metro station takes place. Concept of the library – “house in house, city in the city” creates the group of three volumes situated under one roof. The houses of adults’ library, youth library and administration define two atriums in between. Here the life of the whole building meets together. Volume of mediatheque steps up the row and shows the new direction of our culture and media.
