Posssibilities of entrance of the Finnish company on the Czech market

This thesis on "Possibilities of entrance of Finnish company on the Czech market" is focused on gathering pieces of knowledge about the Czech market and consumerist behavior in the market area of necessary confectionery that leads to suitable methods for the Finnish company Kouvolan Lakritsi to enter the Czech market. Furthermore, the thesis contains the analysis of the Kouvolan Lakritsi internationalization process involved in the selection of the appropriate international cooperation and the scheme for the international programme for the selected company.
The thesis is divided into three parts. The first part presents theoretical details to create a complete analysis of the Czech market, evaluate the internationalization options and design an international marketing plan for the selected company. The constitutive part of the theoretical basis accounts for the description of the use of liquorice especially in food industry. The second part of the thesis introduces the Kouvolan Lakritsi company, so that the reader gains a comprehensive concept of its manufacturing and business activity in the field of liquorice confectionery. It aims to evaluate the current international activities and its potential assertion on the Czech market. It also deals with the analysis of the Czech market in the confectionery area and the consumption development and shopping habits of Czech customers. The third part summarizes the motives of Kouvolan Lakritsi to enter the Czech market, it concretizes the placement of its products on foreign and Czech markets, it selects a suitable method to enter the market and suggests cooperation search and application of the international marketing programme. The final part of the thesis covers the propositions and recommendations for the extension of the thesis in cooperation with a selected consulting company Logio, where the author acts.

Care for employees, corporate strategy

This Thesis, called Care for Employees, Corporate Strategy addresses the issue of care for employees in practice. This Dissertation analyses its level in the particular, observed company and it is composed of two main parts. The first part explains the theoretical bases which are needed to understand the context of the issue, based on the studied literature. It acquaints the readers with the Labour Code and defines basic concepts such as working mode, working environment, personal development, human resources department, company s strategy, and many others. The second part describes the selected company, including its system of care for employees. The level is determined through a questionnaire focusing on the employee development, communication, working conditions, and working environment, catering, corporate culture, job evaluation, and employee benefits. The results are clearly processed and evaluated in tabular or graphical form. On the basis of the results, problem areas are determined and proposals leading to improvement of the care for the employees and the overall satisfaction are then processed.

Evaluation of Selected Product Promotion within the Business Strategy

The diploma thesis deals with the business strategy of a chosen quarry within the scope of promotion of one concrete chosen stone product. The thesis consists of two parts - a theoretical and a practical one. The theoretical part introduces the linear information research focusing on the explanation of a definition and dividing of the quarry, granite and its mining, the concept of the company and afterwards the explanation of business strategies, strategical thinking and the company management. In the final part of the linear research the thesis deals with the product itself, its distribution and promotion.
The second, practical part focuses on the chosen quarry in the Czech Republic, which is presenting one of its products. On the grounds of a questionnaire research a concrete type of promotion which should lead to better selling of the product and therefore better profitability of the company will be suggested.

The process of public tenders for the police

The aim of the thesis is evaluation of the public procurement issue in the Police of Czech Republic (Policie České republiky) namely from beginning of the public procurement until its realization. Aim of the thesis is evaluation of the process of public procurement in the Police of the Czech Republic from the theoretical point of view, thus description legislative environment and from practical activities involved subjects the point of view as well. Procedure itself of the public procurement is regulated by the generally regulated legislation, but regarding to the subject of the contract owner like Police of the Czech Republic, is this procedure determinate by the Ministry of the interior regulation. One of the basic presumptions for effective and economical spending of the public funds, not only in the police, but also in the whole public administration, are correct public procurement when buying services, supplies or building operations. In this thesis is described procedure in the realization of the public procurement from its planning until
contract concluding. In the thesis are also mentioned subject, which are involved in this process including their rights and responsibilities.

Dept collection practices in The Czech Republic

The thesis deals with practical issues associated with debt recovery in the Czech Republic. Part I focuses on the theoretical background of claims. It identifies the origin, securing recovery, modification and termination of claims as well as an analysis of the most frequent methods used in practice in compliance with the effective legislation.
The theoretical issues stated above are applied in the analysis of claims of a specific trading company, here shown under a fictional name, ABC, s.r.o., the objective of which is to specify the advantages and drawbacks of claim administration and the debt recovery process based on the financial figures of the company in the period from 2010 to 2015. The analysis is focused on the development of selected indices in the monitored period as well as the differences which exist between claims from different types of company business.
Measures to reduce outstanding overdue debts are proposed upon the established results, the implementation of which should help improve the total financial standing of the stated company.

Evaluation of the influence of grant projects for the management and development for the selected city

This thesis evaluates the impact of grant projects for the management and development of the city Poděbrady for the period 2011 to 2015. The years 2014 and 2015 are considered as the key years focusing on the individual grant projects. The thesis contains theoretical and practical part.
The theoretical part characterizes public administration including terms related to the topic. Last but not least, the thesis describes regional policy, structural funds and operational programs which are the main sources of grant projects.
The practical part of the thesis is divided into five subsections. There is a brief characteristic of the town as well as the analysis of the individual grant projects completed between 2014 and 2015. Based on analyses, an evaluation of the selected projects and the town economy is the essential part of the thesis. The survey classifies selected grant projects from the public point of view. Moreover, it recommends developing strategies for the town Poděbrady.

Managerial skills

Nowadays we meet managers in the vast majority of businesses. They are the major representatives of different companies, because on their shoulders carries a large part of the responsibilities associated with running the company. On the managerial competence and skills are therefore kept high demands.
Explanation of basic concepts related to management and managers is mentioned in first, theoretical part of this thesis. Simultaneously this section attempts to answer the question, what the ideal manager should be. Therefore this part of thesis is focused on the personality of the manager, his skills, roles, functions, competencies and abilities.
The second part deals with the practical application of acquired knowledge to the company Lazne Belohrad Inc. The company is briefly described in terms of historical and contemporary developments. Based on the survey managerial skills of staff, managers of middle management are analysed. Based on the research it was investigated the interconnection of hard skills and soft skills. At the same time there were suggested possible ways of improving and developing managerial skills.
