Low Noise Amplifiers for frequency range 1-3 GHz
Klegová, Hana ; Zamazal, Michal (referee) ; Kasal, Miroslav (advisor)
This masters thesis deals with low noise amplifier design for frequency range 1 GHz - 3 GHz. There is a short theoretical introduction in the first part of the thesis. There are described parameters and properties of transistors and general two-ports. Description of the noise characteristics two-ports follows. The next capture contains design of two-stage amplifiers. One of them is with a microstrip filter between stages and the second one is with combline filter on input of the amplifier. The amplifiers and the microstrip filter were designed in program ANSOFT Designer. The design of combline filter was realised in program CST Microwave Studio. Both amplifiers ware made and their properties ware compared with simulations.
UHF RFID tag emulator
Janošík, Tomáš ; Zamazal, Michal (referee) ; Vychodil, Josef (advisor)
This thesis deals with the design of external backscatter modulator for RFID tag emulator, which is used in UHF band. This modulator is connected with the Universal Software Radio Peripheral and antenna. Realization of a backscatter modulation contains switching between a matched load and an unmatched load. Impedance of the unmatched load is continuously adjustable. Result of this thesis is function prototype.
Signal Processing for UHF RFID Reader
Novotný, Jan ; Zamazal, Michal (referee) ; Povalač, Aleš (advisor)
The master’s thesis is focused on the UHF RFID reader EXIN-1 signal processing. The first part describes the concept of the EXIN-1 front end, its basic testing and possible communication interfaces for reader control and for receiving and transmitting baseband signals. The second part of this work is aimed to a simple description of EPCglobal Class-1 Generation-2 UHF RFID Protocol, especially to used modulations and codings. In the last part, a block connection between the front end and an ARM Cortex-M4 microcontroller discovery board is designed. The microcontroller is used for generating of all required signals and also for receiving incoming signals and processing them for identification numbers of RFID cards (tags), which are in the reading range of the reader. A decoding algorithm is designed in MATLAB software and implemented to the selected microcontroller. Obtained identification data are displayed on an LCD display and also sent to a PC through a serial communication.
Access Control System using BodyCom Technology
Křístel, Jan ; Zamazal, Michal (referee) ; Povalač, Aleš (advisor)
This master's thesis is primarily focused on the design of an electronic access control system using the BodyCom technology. The first section describes the working principle of this technology and its influence on human body. The second section shows an application of this technology in construction options of the electronic access control system.
SDR-based UHF RFID communication analyzer
Vychodil, Josef ; Zamazal, Michal (referee) ; Povalač, Aleš (advisor)
Main topic of this thesis is development of software for capture and analysis of RFID communication in UHF band (standard EPC Class-1 Generation-2). One part of the work is focused on the basics of the RFID systems, software defined radio concept and graphical programming language LabVIEW. Main part of this thesis is discussing the developed software itself, its methods and principles. Next part is dedicated to present the graphical user interface of created application and its functionality. Last part of this thesis contains examples of captured and analysed processes in UHF RFID communication.
Global Positioning System Signal Emulator
Hofman, Jan ; Zamazal, Michal (referee) ; Povalač, Aleš (advisor)
Thesis is adressed to the principals of a satellite navigation. It is focused on a determination of a longitude, latitude and altitude of a single point on the surface of the Earth. It contains analysis of navigation messages and a manner of processing of navigation signals in GPS receivers. Realization of an emulator of the navigation signal of GPS system in Matlab is also described. The purpose of this emulator is a generation of navigation messages, which could be transmitted by universal software radio. The last part of thesis contains the analysis of these signals, which were captured by second software radio.
Radiocommunication Monitor for ISM Band at 868 MHz
Frecer, Petr ; Zamazal, Michal (referee) ; Povalač, Aleš (advisor)
This thesis deals with the design and the realization of the radiocommunication monitor for the 868 MHz band. In the thesis, a description of licence-free radio bands complying ITU recommendations and ETSI standards is given. A special attention is paid to the 863 MHz - 870 MHz band. The transceiver CC1020 that forms the base for the monitor is described in detail. The circuit design, the monitor assembly and the firmware creation are presented step by step. The radiocommunication monitor is portable and battery powered. The monitor is able to display RF signals in the 868 MHz band, to indicate the frequency error of the transmitter and to receive FSK modulated signal. Demodulated data can be transferred to the personal computer via the USB.
HF band power amplifier
Korvas, Miroslav ; Zamazal, Michal (referee) ; Šrámek, Petr (advisor)
The theme of my diploma thesis is a realization of the high frequency amplifier with possibility to change its class between class A, B and C with output low pass and band pass filters. The output power is supposed to be at about 10 W in frequency range 3,5 MHz to 14 MHz. The thesis contains theory of amplifier respectively transceiver and filters. In next parts I will design, simulate, realize and measure created amplifier and filters.
HW interface of database server
Janů, Petr ; Zamazal, Michal (referee) ; Fuchs, Michal (advisor)
The aim of master's thesis is implementation of hardware interface database server. Interface will be collecting data at installation place. Interface will be connected to a remote MySQL server using an Ethernet network and saving data received by serial line in a database.
Digital Signal Processor for Handheld RFID Reader
Benetka, Miroslav ; Zamazal, Michal (referee) ; Šebesta, Jiří (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with design and realization of a module for a digital signal procesor, for handheld RFID reader working in UHF band. It utilises a special chip EM4298 for RFID signals processing. Module is controlled by the microcontroller ATmega32L, which communicates with the PC through USB bus. Settings in EM4298 is made by a service program which processes received identifying data obtained from tags. Source codes for microcontroller are created in AVR Studio 4.13 program. Source codes for microcontroller are created in C++ Builder 6.0 program. Further thing is Desing and realization of analog interface and a UHF transceiver for wireless communication with tags. A Webench program was used for the analog interface design, which is freely available on the internet. For verification of parameters of the analog interface it was used PSpice 10.0 program. The UHF transceiver is build-up with a MAX2903 chip (transmitter) and AD8347 (receiver) and transmitting and receiving antennae.
