Elastohydrodynamic lubrication of elliptical contacts
Hodás, Ladislav ; Vaverka, Michal (referee) ; Hartl, Martin (advisor)
Principal intention of this thesis is comparation of given equations for minimal and central thickness of elastohydrodynamical lubricant film at elliptical contact between smooth rubbing faces in regular isothermal conditions. Thereinafter, possible approaches to assessment of thickness of lubricant film and verification of their validity via experiment are trashed out.
Study of behaviour of EHD lubricated contact of machine parts within non-smooth surfaces
Zapletal, Lukáš ; Maňas, Pavel (referee) ; Vaverka, Michal (advisor)
Master’s thesis deals with development of software application to calculate contact pressure in eleastohydrodynamic lubricated contact in order to use previously obtained data of the lubricating film thickness. The introduction contains a short overview of methods used for the study of film thickness and contact pressure. Custom work includes a contact pressure solution derived from a film thickness, a description of the developed software and analysis of algorithms used for its compilation. The last part deals with the verification of algorithm, application of software for calculating the contact pressure on the rough surface and analysis of the results. The conclusion includes a summary and possible application of software in practice.
Calculation of contact pressure from experimentally evaluated lubricant film thickness
Kozel, Lubomír ; Hartl, Martin (referee) ; Vaverka, Michal (advisor)
This diploma thesis is engaged in calculation of contact pressure from thickness of lubricating film using Finite Element Method (FEM). Within my diploma thesis were performed the calculations concerning to non-conformal surfaces with a view to elastohydrodynamic lubrication. The simulations were done for disk and ball contact, respectively with burnished finish and also with surface which contains small dent. Flow diagram was designed so that the creation of geometry, boundary conditions and results saving is controlled parametrically. With using parameters it is possible to repeat the calculation when the resolution, geometry, etc. will be changed.
Lubrication of gasoline and diesel engines
Krejčí, Tomáš ; Vaverka, Michal (referee) ; Křupka, Ivan (advisor)
The main subject of this bachelor’s thesis is describing the present state of knowledge in the sphere of compression-ignition and spark-ignition engines lubrication, lubricants and future trends. First part is about internal combustion principle, engine construction. Next parts are about engine lubrication system, lubricating modes, and its locating in the engine. Last part is about oils, and insights into the future.
High-bay warehouse for lacquered bodywork
Bachorík, Patrik ; Vaverka, Michal (referee) ; Vašek, Lubomír (advisor)
The aim of this diploma work was a design of a high-bay warehouse for lacquered car bodywork with focus on the issue of a conveyer line and its incorporation into the existing material flow in company Skoda Auto a.s.. Three variants of the warehouse for the lacquered car bodywork were proposed and described. For each one of them, a time analysis of car bodywork removal from the storage was carried out. The thesis was ended with a complex evaluation of the three variants according to chosen criteria, based on which the best variant was selected. That one was further depicted in layout documentation.
The propulsion and braking system of a motor vehicle for a railroad museum of industrial railways
Gerec, Matúš ; Vaverka, Michal (referee) ; Škopán, Miroslav (advisor)
This thesis deals with the design of the propulsion and braking system for narrow gauge railcar. It contains the design of hydrostatic drive system with closed-loop hydraulic circuit. Then thesis describes the concept of propulsion system placement in the frame of the railcar and design of the braking system.
Intelligent Control Methods in Automation of Process of Construction Machines Control
Vaverka, Michal ; Škopán, Miroslav (advisor)
This work deals with the possibility of use of intelligent methods in construction machines control. These methods are based on GPS in combination with using laser and ultrasonic technology. There is in detail described especially control by robotic total station and 3D control, which includes digital model of construction site. The new trends of control are especially applied on the vibratory rollers. There are taken into consideration: achievement of sufficient degree of compaction on the basis of on-line information about conditions of subsoil.

Skid conveyor technology
Fajkus, Pavel ; Vaverka, Michal (referee) ; Škopán, Miroslav (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with planning conveyor technology in welding factory in Kvasiny and concept proposal of stacking equipment for skids. The report contains summary of conveyor technology in Škoda Auto a.s., description of the planning process about connection line from new hall to the existing hall, proposal of stacking equipment constructional variants, mechanism load stress analysis, inner effects results and verification by final elements method (MKP) components of the choice.
Anylytical solver for strength calculation of railway axles
Fišer, Petr ; Náhlík, Luboš (referee) ; Vaverka, Michal (advisor)
This master thesis deals with wheel set axles of rail vehicles, their design and methods of implementation stress analysis. In this work, I created a powered locomotive wheel set: axle and wheel. For the purpose of the design department of the Bonatrans Group a.s. company I developed an analytical solver, which allows creating stress analysis, which will be used for verifying finished design and in addition it allows printing of stress analysis as report for the railway´s offices. Next step was a stress analysis of this design of axle in this analytical solver.
