It summarizes the development of view of nurse and her position in comparison with the historical development of nursing as a discipline. It describes the system of nursing education and the distribution of competencies within a multidisciplinary team. It emphasizes the need for effective communication and cooperation. The empirical part is a quantitative survey aimed at mapping the current status of nurses and working environment in their teams. The research sample consisted of nurses working without professional supervision in the hospital in Česká Lípa.

Preparation of Patient for Colonoscopy

This bachelor thesis deals with the ways of preparation of the patient for colonoscopy. Right premedication, effective communiation between medical personnel and the patient and applied medication are some of the key factors which can significantly influence the result of examination. Quantitative research enquiry by means of interrogatory method the aim of which is to find out the extent of patient's awareness about colonoscopy examination is the focal point of the empirical part of the thesis. Another aim of this work was to evaluate whether the high-quality professional communication of medical personnel with a patient and given 68 premedication have positive influence on better tolerance of the examination and on patient's satisfaction. An information leaflet was written on the basis of established facts to help the patiens manage the colonoscopy. The studied sample of patiens was made up of outpatients as well as inpatients who underwent colonoscopy examination at the endoscopy ward of the Municipal hospital, joint-stock company in Dvůr Králové nad Labem.

Educational program for clients of home parenteral nutrition

The bachelor's thesis deals about the education of home parenteral nutrition. Generally, the theoretical part provides a comprehensive overview of education in nursing and parenteral nutrition and gives its specifications in the home environment. The empirical part refers to the possible problems relating to the nurse and the patient, which were solved by questionnaire. Based on the delivered data I have prepared proposal of an educational program for clients on home parenteral nutrition.

The bachelor thesis deals with problems of giving food to patients in medical centres as well as with methods of patients' meal plan and particular screening procedures which play an important role especially in setting-up suitable dietary restrictions for a patient. This work points out the importance of medical staff knowledge in the field of patients' feeding as well as the job of a nutritional team, which is an integral part of interdisciplinary collaboration in patient care. The thesis is based on a quantitative survey via anonymous questionnaires. It monitors both patients' satisfaction with the quality of served meals in a hospital and the medical personnel's knowledge of serving food to patients. The survey sample consists of the qualified staff nurses working at the Faculty Hospital Hradec Králové.

This bachelor's thesis discuss a contentment patiens with diet in the fakulty hospital in Hradec Králové. The goal of the bachelor's thesis is to find out satisfaction patiens with hospital's diet in fakulty hospital in Hradec Králové. A theoretical part describe basicly element's of food (lipids, carbohydrates, proteins, vitamins and minerals) and some methods used for find out mutrition state od patiens.There is define dietary system, describe some diet and describe method of giving enteral and parenteral nutrition. A empirical part consist of research od satisfaction patients with diet by questionnaire. The questionnaire I did myself and distributed to patiens in the fakulty hospital in Hradec Králové.

Need of seniors

The aim of this bachelor work is to find out the difference in the satisfaction of needs amongst in-house senior patients and external, or living at home seniors. The theory part explains the term of needs, it divides them into lower and higher needs. It analyses physical indications of old age and the relationship between medical and social old age. It mentions hospitalism and syndrome of being immobilised. The practical part presents quantitavie research using questionnaires methods. The analysed sample was made up of seniors in "Oddělení následné péče" in Frýdlant and seniors living in "Domov U Spasitele" also in Frýdlant. All findings are present using graphs and charts. The summary and recommendation for nursing practis can be found in the discussion part.

This is middle school educated non-physician health care worker with competence especially in the area of basic nursing care. The aim of this diploma work is to create the optimal project of the change in the structure of nursing team with integration of this new profession into the practice through the pilot study. The study was performed in the department of Gerontology and the Long-term Care unit in the University hospital in Hradec Králové. The results of the study may serve for Czech society of Gerontology and Geriatry as a guide in the frame of geriatrics conception for setting the number and structure of the staff in the departments of hospitals and facilities that are engaged in the acute and subsequent care for elderly with the aim to avoid the decline in the quality of provided nursing care and to comply with all conditions of legislature related to the demands for the qualification standard of nursing staff in work shift.
