Assessment of Success and Sustainability Factors of Selected Non-Governmental Organizations

The master thesis identifies basic success factors of non-governmental organizations. Measurable indexes from individual areas of NGO management are evaluated within the selected sample of public benefit organizations. The main attention is dedicated to the areas of strategic and financial management. The thesis uses data from research project - Best practice in non-governmental organizations, in a form of survey by questionnaire together with information from annual reports of individual organizations. The thesis offers an idea on how to obtain the data from NGOs, how to work with them, analyse and evaluate them.
Financial founding project of the firm

The aim of this study was to set up a business that sells specialized sporting goods aimed at extreme sports and analysis of the suitability of operation of the business. We havee defined theoretical concepts such as founding project, strategic analysis, or business in general to create a knowledge base that had been used in the practical part. Using strategic analysis we reviewed surroundings of the company and preparation of all project we created a picture of the business activities and results for the first and second year of operation. This was supplemented optimistic and pessimistic estimates and indicators. In conclusion, we summarize the positive and negative aspects of establishing a business and personal point of view of its benefits.
The strategic analysis of the OD5K10, z. s.

The aim of the Master´s Thesis is implementation of the strategic analysis for the non-governmental organization OD5K10, z. s., considering the external environment and also the internal resources, which are available for the organization, and in this way reveal all the factors which have impact on its economy. For analysis of the macro-environment PEST analysis is used. In analysis of the micro-environment there are indetified forces, which can affect an ability of the organization to satisfy the needs of its clients (either customers themselves or competitors, suppliers, community). We can not forget also internal analysis, where resources of this subject, its financial management and its reliability are described and analyzed. The important part of the thesis is the synthesis of the results, where strenghts, weaknesses, opportunities and threats are summarized.
Strategic analysis of NGO Stará škola

The aim of this Masters thesis is the implementation of the strategic analysis on nongovernmental organization Stará škola, z.s. In first, theoretical part it focuses on the characteristics of the non-profit sector and the methodology used for the strategic analysis. The second part applies this methodology on the organization Stará škola. To analyze the macroenvironment it uses PEST analysis, in the context of microenvironment it focuses on the analysis of competitors, clients and public. This thesis also includes financial analysis, which also focuses on models BAMF and KAMF, which are often used in the context of NGOs. In conclusion, the thesis aims to evaluate the overall status of the organization and list some recommendations for the future.
SWOT analysis of non profit organization

The aim of this thesis is to provide a SWOT analysis of the Via Foundation through which is detected potential opportunities and threats for the organization and its current strengths and weaknesses. The theoretical part explains the basic concepts, theoretical knowledge and the process itself concerning the creation of a SWOT analysis. The described methods are then used in the practical part on the example of the Via Foundation. To identify potential opportunities and threats from the external environment is used PEST analysis supported by time series analysis. For discovering potential of the organization in terms of strengths and weaknesses is used the evaluation of selected parameters of the organization as compared to the analogous organizations. In conclusion, the thesis summarizes important information obtained by this analysis and there are proposed recommendations for the organization.
The strategic analysis of the Domov Sue Ryder

The aim of the thesis is implementation of the strategic analysis for the non-governmental organization Domov Sue Ryder, o.p.s. and to identify all the factors which have impact on its economy. The work deals with the effects of the external environment and the internal resources, which are available for the organization. There was used PEST analysis for analysis of the micro-environment. I have identified all the factors that affect the firm's ability to satisfy customer needs in section related to the micro-environment. These are members in the sector of social services for elderly. They form competition or support for the organization. The important part is also the synthesis of the results of the strategic analysis. There are listed strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. The conclusion summarizes the most important information. There are suggested recommendations to management for improving.
Analysis of sources of the cultural institution

The thesis is focused on analyzing the financial resources of the company Dejvické divadlo, o.p.s., in 2004 - 2012. Being a non-profit organization, the theoretical part is focused on the non-profit sector approach and the issues of its funding. Besides stating the most common legal forms of non-profit organizations in the Czech Republic are further elaborated their current options for fundraising. The following section describes methods of analysis used in the practical part. There is also a horizontal and vertical analysis of financial resources, evaluation of self-sufficiency of the company and analysis of performance through model KAMF*. There is not absent the comparison with the subjects in the sphere of influence (especially with the Divadlo Archa, o.p.s.). The analysis shows, that the Dejvické divadlo, o.p.s., was managed to adapt to new conditions after its transformation in 2004 and is managed to fulfill the princip of a multi-source funding.
Economic analysis of the CARLA spol. s r. o.

The aim of diploma thesis is to carry out economic analysis of chosen company - CARLA spol. s r. o. - within the years 2007 -- 2011 and to compare company results from economic analysis with data from the food industry. Diploma thesis contains of three main parts. First theoretical part presents basic methods and models important for the elaboration of economic analysis. Second part presents chosen company -- its history, products, ownership structure and also analysis of the microenvironment and macroenvironment of the company. In the third part, financial health of the company is analyzed and evaluated with the usage of models from theoretical part -- horizontal and vertical analysis, financial ratio analysis, credibility and bankruptcy models, Economic value added and other analysis. In the conclusion of the diploma thesis, all findings and recommendations are summarized.

The Master's Thesis includes an economic analysis of the company Pivovar Rohozec, a. s. for the period 2007 to 2012. The main goal of this thesis is to find out an achieved financial health of the brewery and also how the firm is compared with the competition. The thesis is divided into two parts, it begins with a description of the methodology, continues with the practical part, where the economic analysis of the Pivovar Rohozec, a. s. is performed. The aim of Marter's Thesis is to apprise the balance rules, the financial analysis, the effects of financial and operating leverage, the Economic Value Added (EVA) indicator, evaluate indexes for prediction of bankruptcy and creditworthiness and also the inter-company comparisons.
Assessment of the predictive ability of prediction models

The aim of this thesis is to describe and apply selected prediction models as a part of a financial analysis of a Pilsen Steel company, which ended up in a bankruptcy. 15 models are being applied on the Pilsen Steel altogether, 10 bankruptcy (prediction) and 5 creditworthiness. Their development tracks the period between 2007 and 2012. The thesis evaluates the performance of models, comments on their development and examines what influenced them the most. Author presents his subjective opinions and observations about the pros and cons of each model, at the end of the practical part of this thesis.
