Jewish Roots of Christian Liturgy and Their Current Presence in the Practice of Particular Catholic Communities
Veselková Francová, Markéta ; Kotas, Jan (advisor) ; Tichý, Radek (referee)
The aim of the thesis Jewish Roots of Christian Liturgy and Their Current Presence in the Practice of Particular Catholic Communities is to map the current state of research about Jewish roots of Christian liturgy using the available literature as the basis and show on the specific example of two Catholic communities (Community of The Beatitudes and The Saint James Vicariate for Hebrew Speaking Catholics) how they experience these Jewish roots and how it manifests in their liturgical practice. The work is divided into two steps: In the first part, current knowledge about Jewish sources from which the Christian liturgy drew and draws is summarized. The most important elements, types and forms of Jewish prayers are described, and then it is described which parts of the Christian liturgy are based on which types and forms of prayers. In the second part, the history of the establishment of the Beatitudes Community and the Hebrew Parish is described and their liturgical practice is analyzed with a focus on their motivations for emphasis of the Jewish roots, the development of this practice and its specifics, and their relation to the original historical basis points. The conclusion represents a reflection on the more general benefit of the practice of these two communities and the benefit of knowledge...
Representations and transformations of color spaces via quaternions
Tichý, Radek ; Druckmüller, Miloslav (referee) ; Hrdina, Jaroslav (advisor)
This thesis deals with quaternions for edge detection, particularly on image processing represented in various color spaces. First, the key concepts and the quaternion algebra properties are mentioned, then some of the commonly used color spaces are described and afterwards the thesis dedicates to the basic filters for edge detection in grayscale image. After that there are presented the color filters that use quaternions for color edge detection in RGB color space. Towards the end, these filters are used for color edge detection in HSV color space.
The kinematics of the three link robotic snake based on CRA algebra
Motyčková, Paulína ; Tichý, Radek (referee) ; Hrdina, Jaroslav (advisor)
This work deals with Clifford's algebra of type CRA and its use for kinematics of a three-link robotic snake. To solve CRA based kinematics, it is necessary to familiarise with elements forming CRA algebra and the relationships between them. Furthermore, it is crucial to master the operations and transformations of the corresponding algebra and their implementation on objects in the CRA algebra. This work deals with the direct kinematics of a robotic snake that we suppose moves on a flat surface. This work concludes with the ideal method of calculating the kinematics of this snake and the corresponding algorithm in GAALOP.
Clifford algebras in colour theory and image analysis
Tichý, Radek ; Vašík, Petr (referee) ; Hrdina, Jaroslav (advisor)
This thesis deals with conformal geometric algebra CGA for colour image processing, particularly with colour segmentation. For this reason it is not sufficient to work in RGB colour space. It is more convenient to use a colour space called CIELAB. CIELAB is endowed by Euclidean metric corresponding with human perception of colours. Afterwards an algorithm for an object detection via CGA based on colour differences is included. The final part of the thesis deals with least squares fitting of sphere to points using CGA. The sphere fitting is then used to adjust colour differences in an image to improve the algorithm for an object detection.
Synodality - how walk together in daily life of the czech church?
Jirsa, Matěj ; Prokeš, Josef (advisor) ; Tichý, Radek (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to answer the question of 'how the Czech Church in its everyday life should respond to the call on synodality, which Pope Francis asks of the Church'. More specifically, the thesis deals with the so-called synodal lifestyle. It aims to define this style, to theologically ground it and to formulate its basic building blocks. On the basis of qualitative research, it then wants to provide impulses for pastoral theology to help this style take root in the life of the Czech Church where it is needed. The thesis is divided into five chapters. The first chapter introduces the subjects of the theological debate on synodality, with an emphasis on recent Church documents and the teachings of Pope Francis. The second chapter introduces the main theological premises underlying the building blocks of the synodal lifestyle, which will later be presented in chapter three. Chapter four focuses on the qualitative research conducted in the form of a reflection on home spiritual retreat as presented and analysed. The highlight of the thesis is chapter five, in which, impulses for pastoral theology are formulated by synthesizing the analysis of the qualitative research and the basic building blocks of synodality.
Funeral Rites: Liturgical Texts and Priestly Practice
Burian, Petr ; Tichý, Radek (advisor) ; Prokeš, Josef (referee)
Every culture encompasses funeral rites. These funeral rites are influenced by modern society, but primarily are determined by cultural elements and customs of previous generations. This also applies for Christian funerals, which builds on the rich tradition of the Church, draws from the deposit of faith all the while maintains a careful approach to the unique customs of every culture. The purpose of the thesis: Order of Christian Funerals: liturgical texts and the practise of the priests is to analyse the practise of the catholic priests while leading a funeral service and to compare the actual state with general instructions of the liturgical book Order of Christian Funerals. The reader will firstly be introduced into the history of Christian funerals till today's practise after the Second Vatican Council. The thesis will then continue with detailed presentation of the Czech editions of the liturgical book Order of Christian Funerals. In the following part I will present the method of conducted interviews, and then will introduce the respondents. The main part of the thesis will be dedicated to analysis of the interviews, there I will evaluate different views of experience of the priests and then will explore their opinion on Order of Christian Funerals with the purpose to determine if the...
The Liturgy and the Teaching of Pope Francis
Matys, Vojtěch ; Tichý, Radek (advisor) ; Přibyl, Stanislav (referee)
Tittle: The Liturgy and the Teaching of Pope Francis The thesis follows up a question of how the topic of the liturgy is present in Pope Francis's teaching, what is the place of the liturgy in his pastoral office, and what aspects of the church liturgy are specifically important to him. In the beginning of my study, I will outline the basic definitions of the Pope's teaching, and refer to the character of Pope Francis himself. Later on I will introduce texts and passages, in which Pope Francis mentions liturgy, and then I will focus on selected aspects, and compare them to the general conception of these aspects in the context of church documents. Czech advent masses and their place in the liturgy of Advent
Benda, Václav ; Kotas, Jan (advisor) ; Tichý, Radek (referee)
Czech advent mass and their place in the liturgy of Advent This thesis deals with the phenomenon of Czech advent mass and their place in the liturgy of Advent. It represents the interconnection of music and liturgy from the beginning through Gregorian chant , polyphonic music, folk and spiritual song to the votive Mass of the Blessed Virgin Mary, at the advent mass was sung . With the advent mass bachelor thesis observes their development from inception to the present form and location in the now commonly used hymn books . They recorded town , where most advent mass singing and where they are most often placed archival indicative of their original form.
