The traditional folk theatre in modern creation of costume.

This Paper is a work about Folk cultures and their components in theatrical art. You will find there a description of various elements and inspiring patterns of folk-costumes. The aim is to understand folklore patterns in order to recycle them as original inspiration for folk-themed scenic productions. The second part of this work is a practical illustration conceirning the theatrical piece of Bohuslav Martinů - Divadlo Za branou.
Theatre Fesivals Off Programs

This bachelor thesis describes Off programs of the Czech theatre festivals. Main goal was to point out the importance of off programs to theatre festivals and describe the forms used. To compare and also show the difference this bachelor thesis describes off programs of following theatre festivals: Festival Jiráskův Hronov, ?Theatre European Regions? in Hradec Králové, International theatre festival ?Theatre? in Pilsen, theater universities festival ?Zlomvaz? in Prague and Puppet Festival ?Materinka? in Liberec. Mainly for their stress onto off programs as such and also for their difference in main program and target audience. This bachelor thesis also focuses on financial issues of off programs and describes their costs. And last but not least introduces all problems and successes theatre festivals´ managers suffered and hopefully can help as useful guide which off programs suit to theatre festivals more than others.
City as scene - carnivals

In my dissertation work I?m occupy surrounding of carnival and folk celebration. On very beginning, I?m specify the term of carnival and continue on historic facts as they are coming from time of ancient Greece and Rome. Next following chapter is dedicate to history of carnival in Italy, specifically Venice, as the most popular one. Another part of my work decribe Carnival of culture from Berlin. Important part is dedicate to brasil carnivals specially to Rio de Janeiro and Salvador da Bahia. One of the chapters is written about czechs carnivals which is connect with hilarity folk culture. The main part of dissertation study is dedicate to Prague carnival, running since 2004 and I?m working as main organizer of it. I was trying to writte about production and producer work, finance and execution arrangement. You can illustratively see that on full description of last three years organization of Prague carnival.
Intercultural management - international co-operation

This thesis is focused on intercultural management in the context of international co-operation in the field of performing arts. Initial idea came out of the author?s practical experience from his activities abroad which he undertook as a student of educational seminars, an intern of residency programs, a manager of artistic projects and an advisor of cultural organizations. The goal of the thesis is to utilize his experience within theoretical framework which may serve as an orientation tool for young international arts producers. Content is structured from elementary outline of the theme, definition of essential keywords, view into history of Czech arts organization?s international projects, presentation of national institutions aimed on representing Czech culture abroad, description of foreign cultural agencies in the Czech republic and introduction of some important supranational networks and foundations. In the final part the author presents a case study of important international project and as last, mentions some obstacles of international projects management.
