Effectivity of handball skills in selcted secondary schools in Prague

Title: The effectivity of handball skills in selected secondary schools in Prague Objectives: The aim of the thesis is to assess the level of handball skills at schools in Prague. To compare the effectivity of teaching the author has chosen a school where Handball is thought regularly and a school where it is taught at irregular intervals of time. Methods: The thesis is based on qualitative methods, where observation was used to obtain the results. The final points are obtained via the numeric scales which contain the verbal characteristics. Results: It was found that the classes in which handball is taught regularly are more likely to acquire the necessary skills. Rehearsal of shooting from the wing position in handball

Title: Rehearsal of shooting from the wing position in handball Objectives: The aim of the work was to build and verify the training model for practicing and perfecting the shooting technique from the the wing position in handball. Based on the comparison and evaluation of each videoclip (before and after the intervention) five players tested, we found that this training model is effective. Methods: Five respondents players will be filmed during the shooting from the wing position, then the players go through during the months June and July seven training units, in the length thirty minutes, focusing on the progress of technique. After the completion of the training units, players will be filmed again and the videoclips will be compared with the original assessman. Results: In monitored group, a programme we have created caused a qualitative improvement the skills of all players. Key words: Wing, training, performance, intervention programme

The issue of players' rugby injuries in the Czech Republic

Title: The issue of players' rugby injuries in the Czech Republic. Objective: The main objective of this thesis is to map the kinds of rugby players' injuries, who play the highest competition in the Czech Republic. It also determine the frequency of various injuries, duration of treatment and the search for connections with the players position on the field, injuries and game situations. Method: Information was obtained by nonstandardized questionnaire survey of rugby players by all new eight (previously ten) extra league senior teams in the Czech Republic. A total of 133 questionnaires were analyzed. For the analysis of the data obtained was used software Microsoft Excel 2007. Results: In extraleague of rugby in the Czech Republic was the most injury lacerations (24.2%), followed by ligament injuries (19.8%), dislocations (18.7%), injuries of the head/brain (12.6 %) and other (4.5%). Players of scrum most suffered lacerations, but attackers and scrumhalves/flyhalves injury of the head/brain. The overall average duration of treatment was 6.6 weeks. According to various positions: attackers 8 weeks, players of scrum 6.1 weeks and scrumhalf/flyhalf 5.4 weeks. The most injuries occur during defensive tackling (43%) and attacking (31%). The effect of the place of the match on the shooting success in handball.

Title: The effect of the place of the match on the shooting success in handball. Objectives: The main objective of this work is to find out whether the place where the match is taking place affects the shooting success from individual player areas, and also the overall shooting success of the selected team. Another objective was to find out whether the place has got an effect on the result of the match. Methods: For data collection we used the methods of direct observation, indirect observation and analytical method in our work. The results were processed using the Mann Whitney test, Wilcoxon test and Mc Nemar test. Results: We found out that the place at which the match is taking place does not affect the overall percentage success rate of shooting of the selected team. Also it was not statistically proved, that the place affects the percentage success rate of shooting even from one of the basic areas of player functions for the attack. Use of visual feedback in the training of selected individual gaming activities in handball

5 Abstract The aim of thesis is the obesrvation and resutling evaluation of different development of handball players. The research is aimed at practising selected gaming activities of an individual player, which are documented with a video camera. Players are divided into two groups. One group has the possibility of feedback with the help of video. The second group is performing the role of control anf the training is not affected by the video. The basic method that we use to obtain the necessary results is qaulitative analysis and evaluation of kinetic analysis based on the video obtained during my research. The results are recorded in tables and graphs according to numeric and a pair comparing scales, accompained by verbal response. Teaching sport games in primary schools in the selected region

Aim of the thesis The aim of this study is to gain insight and information about teaching of games on the 2nd grade of elementary schools in Ústí region and in Prague. Methods used To solve this problem, I used a questionnaire that I sent to teachers of physical education in elementary schools. Through questionnaires, I found some differences in the approach to teaching sports games. Results The results of this study can serve as a basis for more extensive research. Analysis of handball coaches' activities in selected area

6 ABSTRACT Title: Analysis of handball coaches' activities in selected area. Objectives: The aim of the thesis was to determine wether the activities of coaches in handball teams, divisions under the Regional North-Moravian Handball Association (OSSH), are in accordance with the recommendations issued by the Czech Handball Federation (CSH). Methods: For the entire research project was chosen the epirically analytical method. With respect to the geografically large area, we considered interrogation method which can be used to collect both quantitative and qualitative research data. All collected data were summarized by entering inno tables and graphs. In the verification of hypotheses the data was evaluated by using basic statistical methods, the arithmetic mean, absolute frequency and relative frequency. Results: The thesis was intended to result in recommendation for coaches' education and development in the mentioned region. With reference to the research results in this thesis the recommendation will not related to impetus for only participation in the trainings. As we found out, the passing of the education and training activities themselves is not a problem. The recommendation will be predominantly related to the change of approach. It is necessary to transform the passive approach into the active one...
