The phenomenon of the new

The present work on the phenomenon of the new sees itself as an introductory structure of kainology. In doing so, it is pursuing two goals. On the one hand, it seeks the establishment of a new philosophical concept and an independent philosophical method, kainology. On the other hand, the main scope of this investigation applies to the problematization of the phenomenon of the new. In order to take a systematic look at the new, the work is divided into three sections, each of which produces its own partial result. The first section deals with the history of the new. Exemplifying the ontological opposition of Heraclitus and Parmenides, the new emerges as a phenomenon that can be treated more precisely in terms of becoming rather than in terms of being. The second section is dedicated to the method. The kainological method is based on the one hand on dialectics as formulated by Hegel and further developed by Adorno. On the other hand, kainology borrows from the method of phenomenology, namely Husserl's. The complementarity of the two pioneering achievements results in four main methodological elements for kainology: first person singular, from fact to Wesen, the included middle and subject-object. What Means Ontography? The Modelling and Experience of Forms of Thinking and Reality Using the Example of the Philosophy of Heinrich Rombach

The first chapter develops, on the basis of former characterizations of the concept 'ontography' within the history of philosophy, an autonomous definition of ontography. The second chapter applies this concept - ontography - to various theories that are possibly compatible with this definition. The proffered definition will prove itself insufficient, however, and it will be subsequently extended to a meta-ontology in the third chapter by means of theories about models, schemata and embodiment. The extended definition sets up a possible implementation in the philosophy of Heinrich Rombach. Accordingly, the fourth chapter presents an analysis and interpretation of the philosophy of Rombach in the framework of the extended definition of ontography. The fifth and final chapter critically examines once again the methodology and the consequences of this thesis, as well as examines determinations of the concept of 'ontography', mainly in relation to ontology. The Emergence of Cultural Otherness in Philosophy and the Problematics of Intercultural Hermeneutics

Zusammenfassung Diese Arbeit fragt nach der Methodik im Bereich der interkulturellen Philosophie. Sie analysiert die Probleme der verschiedenen Denkmodelle unterschiedlicher philosophischer Traditionen, damit diese Modelle, als Paradigmen verstanden, den heutigen Bedenken zum Thema Fremdheit angepasst werden können. Von interkultureller Hermeneutik über Literatur und phänomenologische Ansätze bis hin zu indischer Philosophie und philosophischer Hermetik beabsichtigt sie die Darstellung einer kritischen Untersuchung bestehender interkultureller Theorien, um von der Kritik und der Kombination derselben einen möglichen Weg (als praxis) zum Fremden zu ermöglichen, ein Weg, der auf eine dynamische Beziehung zu eben diesem Fremden und eine beiderseitige Anerkennung abzielt.
