Pilot questioning of patological addiction on food - investigation accomplished in selected Prague fast food restaurants and sweetshops

This thesis deals with the phenomenon of food addiction. The research was held among the customers of Prague sweetshops, fast foods and supermarkets. The aim of this work is to find the prevalence of this phenomenon if Prague population, which visits these organizations. The second aim of this work is to deal with prevalence of food dependence in relation with social - demographic readings, such as gender, age, the highest education and a level of month salary. It pays attention to the high incidence of different criterion of food addiction. Finally it deals with problematic foodstuff. This thesis is divided into two parts. The first theoretical part deals with the problems of food dependence. According to the bibliographic search this work reports on diagnostic methods for this illness and on most frequent problematic foodstuff, like additives in food. For better understanding of this problem I include to my work differences between eating disorders, obesity and food addiction. In this theoretic part, there is also article which deals with results of researches on rodents and human beings. This article confirms that this illness exists. Mapping of application of menus for clients with hepatitis C in selected therapeutic communities for drug users in the Czech Republic

BACKGROUND: Studies which were realized in the Czech Republic and also abroad found that hepatitis C is spreading among injection drug users. Literature wrote how would a person with HCV should eat in addition to development and pharmacotherapy of this disease. Literature recommends which food stuff is good for HCV person, how to prepare meal. Foreign studies have shown that nutrition counseling is good for whole process of treatment for addicted people. AIMS: The main aim of this research was to find if therapeutic communities for drug users had a special menu for clients with HCV. It was important to know how to enable the special boarding, which processes and food stuff were used. Subsequently menus of each community were evaluated in terms of supply energy, proteins, carbohydrates, fat and fieber. METHODS: The process of obtaining the data was conducted via email and telephone communications with each of the therapeutic community. The base of the research was one week menu from each community. Menus were evaluated in terms of nutritional composition. Food stuff were finally entered into the program Kalorické tabulky, which assed the amount of the basic nutrients in the meals. Communication, parental control, and gender differences in parenting styles and their effect on alcohol use among sixth grade students involved in the project Unplugged

BACKGROUND: Foreign studies shown, that parenting style and specific aspects of parenting has effect to children in alcohol consumption. In family style, with minimum alcohol consumption were children from families who enforced authoritative parenting style, also in families where parents communicate with children, give them clear boundaries and control them. AIMS: The aim of the research part of the thesis is to investigate the relationship between communication style, selected aspects of parenting style (such as control and following rules) in the family and alcohol use among children. Another theme of the thesis is also to determine the differences between girls and boys in the prevalence of alcohol use, depending on the researched communication aspects and parenting style. METHODS: To obtain the data was used the questionnaire European Family Empowerment Questionnaire (Sumnal, Calafat, 2010). The questionnaire was translated to Czech language. This questionnaire was filled by children and also one of their parents. Only selected questions from survey were used for research project. Foreknowledge of women with post breast therapy pain syndrome

Edukace žen s Postamastektomickým syndromem V závěrečné bakalářské práci jsem se pokusila představit jeden z mnoha problémů, který nás ženy může potkat. Nádorové onemocnění prsu je v současné době jedním z nejčastějších maligních onemocnění u žen a může postihnou každou z nás. Pravděpodobnost následného vzniku postamastektomického syndromu je velmi vysoká. Právě edukace je jedním z nástrojů jak ženy mohou předcházet vzniku a rozvoji postmastektomického syndromu. V teoretické části je přiblížena problematika karcinomu prsu, jeho diagnostika a terapie, dále postmastektomický syndrom, jeho etiologie, diagnostika, léčba. Poslední částí je edukace, její definice, výukové metody a cíle. Výzkumnými cíli bylo zjistit, jak vysoká je míra informovanosti žen o tomto onemocnění, zda jsou dostatečně poučeny o terapii, komplikacích, ošetřování postižené končetiny a dodržování zásad. Na závěr, bych chtěla shrnout, že tato práce mi přinesla ucelený pohled na edukaci pacientek s tímto postižením, na kvalitu poskytovaných informací odbornými lékaři a sestrami lymfoterapeutkami. Vzdělávání těchto pacientek je na velmi dobré úrovni a má vliv na dodržování režimových a léčebných opatření.
