Influence of winter snow conditions on minimum discharges in the warm season in mountain catchments in the Czech Republic
Součková, Markéta ; Jeníček, Michal (advisor) ; Šípek, Václav (referee)
As a result of climate change, the snowfall amounts may be reduced and hence the snow accumulation, which recharges the groundwater in spring. Groundwater significantly influences summer low flows and its deficiency may negatively affect the streamflow and reduce the water supply in snow- dominated regions. This thesis aimes to describe the influence of changes in snow water equivalent on the inter-annual variability of minimal discharges in warm season (April to September) in eleven mountain catchments of the Czech Republic. The aimes were to determine 1) the duration of snow effects on the minimum discharges after the snowmelt onset, 2) the effect of inter-annual changes of snow water equivalent on minimal discharges in the warm season and 3) the date of the summer lowflows and the trend of its shift within the year. The results are based on hydrological and climatological station data collected by Czech Hydrometeorological Institute between the years 1980 and 2014. Snow affected the summer low flows until June and in exceptional cases even until July in higher elevation catchments. The most significant change was recorded in Úpa catchment, which belongs to higher elevation catchments, the 10 % decrease of maximum snow water equivalent caused reductions in minimal discharge by 8.8 % and 6.8 % in...
Streamflow dynamics in the upper Křemelná River basin
Součková, Markéta ; Kocum, Jan (advisor) ; Jeníček, Michal (referee)
Submitted thesis analyses and summarizes findings about runoff dynamics in the upper Křemelná River basin (SW Czechia, Šumava Mountains). A theoretical part of the thesis describes existing findings about hydrological extremes related to ongoing climatic change in the Central Europe region. It is also focused on water retention in headwaters, physical-geographic factors influencing runoff and runoff assessment approaches. Within the practical part of the thesis the accent was put on correct construction of discharge curves and on time series cleansing. Using basic hydrological statistics the daily, monthly and annual runoff regime in Stodůlky state profile and in chosen experimental catchments of the Department of Physical Geography and Geoecology, Faculty of Science, Charles University in Prague, were assessed. Results show slightly unbalanced runoff in the upper Křemelná River basin. The highest rate of discharge is typical for spring period during snowmelt and increased discharges are significant also within winter floods. Increased summer discharges are reflected in daily, but not in monthly mode, due to their short time of duration.
Analysis of Economic Indicators of the Selected Company Using Statistical Methods
Bejček, Tomáš ; Součková, Markéta (referee) ; Novotná, Veronika (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the analysis of economic indicators using the statistical methods of the selected company. The result of this analysis is the discovery of the economic weaknesses and strenghts of the business. These values are further subjected to statistical methods to determine the future development. Part of the work is a simple application created in Microsoft Excel.
Evaluation of the Financial Situation of a Company and Proposals for its Improvement
Cherynová, Nikol ; Součková, Markéta (referee) ; Bartoš, Vojtěch (advisor)
The bachelor thesis on topic „Evaluation of the company's financial situation and proposals for improvement” deals with the problematics of the Spálovský a.s. company over the last five years. The first part of the thesis contains theoretical basis of the work, where the basic notions of the company's economy are defined. The other part is from practical aspect focused on brief characteristics of the Spálovský a.s. company, which includes calculations of selected indicators of financial analysis and interpretation of their results. In the third, the final part of the bachelor thesis, based on observed data, the bases to improve the company's financial situation are proposed.
Suggestion Improvement of Economic Situation of Company through Break Even Point
Smržová, Gabriela ; Součková, Markéta (referee) ; Škapa, Stanislav (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis is concerned with break event point and linear regression to improvement of economic situation of company. Based on the information, made analysis and calculations I will suggest measures which will reduce costs and thereby increase profits. These improvements will reflect for manufacturing operation.
An assessment of a bridge construction on a dynamic load
Součková, Markéta ; Kala, Jiří (referee) ; Salajka, Vlastislav (advisor)
Diploma thesis deas with static and dynamic analysis of a steel arch footbridge. The footbridge structure 3D model was created in program ANSYS 12.1 and afterwards were made static and modal analysis on this computational model. Based on the results of~modal analysis was applied to design of dynamic wind loading on the model according to norms ČSN EN. The effects of this burden has been calculated steady response at resonance from harmonic analysis according to ČSN P EN 1991-2-4. To report according to ČSN EN 1991-1-4 was designed substitute quasistatic forces corresponding loads of wind on the construction and for evaluation was used static analysis.
Company Performance Evaluation by using Benchmarking Tools
Součková, Markéta ; Smrčka, Jiří (referee) ; Kocmanová, Alena (advisor)
This thesis deals with financial analysis and benchmarking for construction company Pozemní stavby Jihlava, spol. s.r.o. The first part summarizes the theoretical basis of benchmarking. In the next part –practical part contains an analysis of the current situation of the company and other construction companies, are included financial analysis, Porter's value chain and SWOT analysis. Based on the observed data are proposing measures and to imporivng and specific recommendations for evaluating enterprise.
Evaluation of fracture tests of selected concrete specimens
Součková, Markéta ; Lehký, David (referee) ; Keršner, Zbyněk (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with evaluation of fracture tests of selected concrete specimens. It is divided into two parts: theoretical and practical. The theoretical section describes fracture parameters, three point bending test and effective crack model. It explains evaluation process of the expriments step by step, too. The practical part contains charts with the resulting values of fracture parameters. The StiCrack software was used for analysis of fracture tests. The result of this thesis is comparison of influence the thength classes of concrete, age of specimens and place of ripen on the values of fracture parameters.
