Stigmatization of clients with menthal illness by non-psychiatric health workers

Bachelor thesis describes status of peoples with mental illness in public health. It adverts to stigmatization which patient with mental illness meet with. Thesis put the accent to negative effect of this stigmatization. The goal of bachelor thesis is in quantitative research of health workers behavior to people with mental illness. The investigation compares behavior of health worker to patient with some mental illness and to patients without any mental anamnesis. Research based on two different groups of patients. First group consists of psychiatric hospitalized patients visited non-psychiatric ambulances. Second group consists of patients with no mental anamnesis visited the same ambulant station.

Research points on the fact that information level of your patiens is on a very good level. There is the space for improvement, mainly in the area of communication, which is the basic presumption of good relationship between patients and medics. Report is divided into two parts. The theoretical part is focused on information flow in health service. Experiential part describes the classification of patient's informedness levels within the hospitalization. Research sample are 68 patients. Result shows, that consequent communication is needed. There was biggest dissatisfaction in this sphere. The target is to reach high quality in provided care with active client's attendance and his satisfaction. Main point is good information flow between patient and medic about health state.
The theory of communication with foreigners in nursing process

Bachelor thesis disserts on basic conceptions connected with communication in a plain field, related to communication with foreigners, multicultural themes and conceptions applicable to a labour. This thesis also deals with specifics of a nursing care for mothers - foreigners and there is a conceptual model of Madeleine Leininger mentioned there. There is information about Vietnamese, Bulgarian, Ukrainian and Nigerian culture, religion and characteristics of those national minorities included in this thesis. Integral part of Bachelor thesis is qualitative research solution, focused on communication, language skills and understanding of the problem and approach to the clients - foreigners with regard to nursing care during the labour. The examinated are mothers - foreigners, which gave births in the maternity ward of Podripska hospital in Roudnice n. L.

Bachelor thesis, "Domestic violence on women - the point of view of mistreated women and possible solutions to their situation," deals with the complexity of domestic violence in families and possible ways to help women victims. Brings basic information about domestic violence, its causes, forms, dynamics and consequences. Great part of the thesis is commited to the need of professional approach and methods of sanitary medical and non-medical personel in process of multidisciplinary cooperation towards victims of domestic violence. The extent of awareness of pubescents and adolescents before a planned operation The theoretical part of this work deals mainly with the mental preparation of adolescent patients before a planned operating surgery (operation). I used two kinds of anonymous non-standardize questionnaires for the research, one of them was used for collecting of data from nurses and the other was used for collecting data from adolescent patients. The research was carried out from November 2005 to March 2006. It surveyed the extent of contentment of adolescent patients and nurses with the information provided at selected workplaces before a planned operation. The results of the research show rather high contentment of nurses and adolescent patients with the information provided before a planned operating surgery (operation) at selected workplaces and the independence of contentment on the age, sex and earlier experience of adolescents with a planned operation.

THE QUALITY OF LIFE OF PATIENTS WITH THE IFLAMMATORY BOWEL DISEASE The term "quality of life" has been already mentioned in the 1920s. And it has been done so in connections with consideration about economic development and problem of government in the field of financial support of lower classes of society. In general, the study of the quality of life means searching and identifying which contribute to good and meaningful life and the feelings of human happiness. There are all kinds of definitions of the quality of life in special literature. But there is no any which would be generally accepted in the last thirty years. There are Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis in the group of the inflammatory bowel disease. The cause of these inflammations is not known and so they are called inflammatory. Both of the mentioned illnesses are appositely worked through in the theoretical part of my thesis together with brief description of the terms - health and quality of life. The aim of the empiric part of my work was to describe and analyze the quality of life of selected group of patients who suffer from the inflammatory bowel disease. PHYSICALLY DISABLED PERSONS' QUALITY OF LIFE Author: JARMILA ROČKOVÁ The overall quality of life in the examined sample of physically handicapped people is roughly average. Although, there are areas in which the physically disabled reach a satisfactory quality of life (own housing, social background in the family, lay public is informed sufficiently of the issue, good experience in the health-care facilities), other areas remain which require compensation and need to be supported by appropriate procedures. This concerns a group of the wheelchair bound persons, in particular (drawbacks in the public transport system, reduced opportunities in the field of education and employment, personal assistance).
