The regulation of accounting in the United Kingdom

This bachelor thesis describes the regulations of the accounting system in the United Kingdom. In the beginning it focuses on the factors that affect the system of British national accounting. It is necessary to identify these factors to realize the basic differences between the methods of regulation in the United Kingdom and in the Czech Republic. The objective is to present the history of accounting profession and regulation of accounting in the United Kingdom, to offer an overview of standards and norms in British accounting and to introduce the crucial organizations involved in the process of the development of Britain's accounting.

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to explain problematic of the equity. There are determinations of legal form at first, joint-stock company and limited company for more detail. The most extensive part deals with capital stock, its increase and decrease. There are described capital funds, funds created from profit, and income from operations. The equity problem of particular company is described in conclusion.

This bachelor thesis deals with pricing and valuation differences between the Czech and Slovak legislation. The aim of this work is to highlight the importance of valuation, revaluation characterize the base, shortly to clarify the valuation of individual items of assets and liabilities and also characterized the differences arising between the valuation in accordance with Czech and Slovak adjustments. For a complete job description is also included in the valuation in accordance with IFRS.

The aim of the bachelor thesis is to provide information about assets and their evaluation in adjustment of US GAAP. The first part deals with current assets, the second one with long-term property. It always contains brief introduction of each category and description of its content, followed by evaluation of mentioned assets with practical explanation by examples and tables. At the end there are remarked comparisons with Czech accounting standards and highlighted main differences.

Valuation and Presenting of Securities in Accounting of the Czech Republic

The name of the thesis is Valuation and Presenting of Securities in Accounting of the Czech Republic and its goal is to bring an insight to the field of accounting regarding long-term and short-term financial assets. This thesis should provide basic information on sorting securities by the term length and types of securities. Furthermore this thesis will dissert on the main part of the accounting -- the valuation methods of securities and its accounting according to the valid Czech legislation. For each case the correct method must be chosen in order to provide appropriate and truthful image of the accounting. Whole thesis concentrates on stocks and obligations and in the end the whole topic is demonstrated on specific examples.

The thesis deals with the topic of mergers of corporations, especially those in which there was the property of acquired company evaluated by the expert opinion. The aim of this work was at first to analyse the selected national mergers realised in 2010, especially from an accounting point of view, and subsequently to compare the valuation differences arising from these mergers and evaluate their impact on the explanatory power of equity.

Financial analysis of a particular enterprise

Bachelor's thesis deals with the financial analysis of WPB Capital in the period 2007 to 2010. Aim of this work is to analyze the financial condition and financial health of the firm and follow the evolution of financial ratios over time. Bachelor thesis has two parts. The theoretical part explains the methods and financial indicators used in the analysis. The practical part explains the results of the analysis to the reader. Results of selected indicators are compared with the average values of competition and the whole industry. Based on the results the work tries to predict its future economic development.
