Analysis of the potencial for tourism in Ústí region

Bachelor's thesis analyzes the potential for tourism in Ústí region with methods of analysis, synthesis and statistical data. Theoretical part is focused on importance of tourism for regional development and development of tourism in Czech Republic after the year 1989. Practical part is aimed on Ústí region and analysis of the potential for tourism was made based on data available from the Czech Statistical Office. Last part of practical part contains plan for education trail realization, which might be a new place to visit.
Evaluation of tourism development in Liberec region

The tourism is considered to be fast growing economic sector which has significant impact on regional development. The Czech Republic is a major European tourist destination and has good potential for further development. The thesis focuses on tourist development in the tourist areas of the Liberec region. The introductory part is focused on tourism from a theoretical perspective. The practical part is devoted to the status of tourism in the Czech Republic and the position of the Liberec region in the country. Liberec region has very favourable natural and cultural-historical prerequisites for the development of tourism, the best potential for its further development have the tourist areas: Jizera Mountains, Giant Mountains and Czech Paradise.
Balneogy in regions of Czech Republic

This thesis is focused on the evaluation of influence the balneology at regional economies. The theoretical part is first given a brief analysis of the leading authors of publications focused on balneology and tourism. It also deals with the historical development of balneology and position of balneology in the national economy. In its practical part is focused on definition of regions where the balneology is significant. Followed by analysis of selected spa regions at the administrative district of municipalities with extended powers. In the selected regions are defined major spa companies, whose economic's indicators is analysed the importance of localization in the region. Thesis contains a description of balneology in regions of Czech Republic and komplex decsription of selected spa regions.
Economic development consistent with environmental protection in the district Domažlice

The aim of this thesis is to map out economic development in the district Domazlice and assess its compliance with the environmental pillar of sustainable development. The theoretical part contains the summary of the basic principles of sustainable development. In addition it includes not only the general characteristics of the district, but primarily a description of the local economy and its history. The next section evaluates the current state of the environment in the district. The practical part is focused on environmental projects undertaken in West district, followed by a description of the responsibilities of businesses in waste management. The conclusion is devoted to programs of the Pilsen region for economic development and the environment and their use in the district Domazlice.
The development of tourism in protected area Kokorin

This bachelor thesis deals with the development of tourism in protected area Kokorin. The main attention is focused primarily on the voluntary union of municipalities, called the Association of Municipalities of Kokorin. The theoretical part introduces the issue of tourism in the context of regional development. Another part analyses the Association of Municipalities of Kokorin in terms of facilities and explores activities that the Association develops for tourism. The rest is devoted to other subjects whose activities encourage the development of tourism in protected area Kokorin.
Local Agenda 21 in Vysočina Region

The goal of the thesis is the evaluation of the realization of a Local Agenda 21 in Vysočina Region and to make an analyze of the project "Vysočina 21", which is realised by Vysočina Region. The term sustainable development is explained in the theoretical part of the thesis as well as the term Local Agenda 21, which introduces the principles of sustainable development to practice. Finally, we explain the principles of the operation of Revolving Fund by Ministry of the Environment from which the project gained the grant for its activities. The practical part deals with the desription of the realization of Local Agenda 21 on the region level and with the project "Vysočina 21" which is focused on the increase of expansion of information about Local Agenda 21 and sustainable development, together with the strengthening of the civil responsibility and participation. The goal of this part of the thesis is to evaluate the process of Local Agenda 21 in the region, the analysis of the project and the assessment of their importance for Vysočina Region and its inhabitants.
Sustainable development as a key strategy to solve problem of brown coal mining in the Sokolov region

Bachelor's thesis describes the concept of sustainable development in theory and practice, practice focuses on the region of Sokolov and its specifics. The goal is to determine how the Sokolov region through the strategy of sustainable development is facing the impacts of the mining of brown coal. It analyzes in particular the impact of mining activities in the region and using the concept of sustainable development is looking for possible solutions and recommendations for its development. Main benefits of this work is a case study in which, through a questionnaire survey collected the views of local actors in different areas of sustainable development. The regional analysis and research findings underlying final recommendations for the future development of the region.
Possibilities and limits to the development of tourism in Microregion Šumava - Západ

This Bachelor thesis examines the influence of tourism on regional development, and characterizes the tourist region Šumava and mainly contains an analysis of tourism in the Microregion Šumava - Západ. The practical part consists of interviews with the two mayors of the villages in the studied area and the evaluation to questionnaires from visitors of this microregion. The aim of this study is to evaluate the potential of Microregion Šumava - Západ, particularly in terms of its natural and cultural attractions compared to other parts of Šumava, as well as to assess the current facilities for tourism and provide more options and limits to the development of summer and winter tourism in this microregion.
The possibilities and limits of socio-economic development in the Šumava region

The present bachelor thesis is focused on the limits and possibilities of development in the Šumava region. The region is characterized mainly by its territory - there are three types of the specially protected areas - national park, protected landscape area and biosphere reserve. This thesis deals with the issue of the socio-economic development in relation to the principles of nature protection and sustainable development. The main goal of this paper is to define the possibilities, key activities and impacts on the region in connection with the occurrence of the types of protected geographical departments. The thesis also tried to clarify the current situation thanks to information obtained from an interview with three local stakeholders; furthermore, it analyzed strategic documents and evaluated the projects already implemented in the region.
Biosphere reserve Sumava as a tool for sustainable development of the area

My diploma thesis is focused on the subject of biosphere reserves, as an example of special protected areas, with special regard to BR Šumava. There is examined its current situation and its contribution to sustainable development. At the same time there are being found out the opinions, attitudes and expectations of key local stakeholders and other persons and organizations concerned towards the institution BR Šumava. This thesis deals with optimal functioning model of BR Šumava and its future sustainable development.
