Analysis of Dimensional Accuracy and Mechanical Properties of Plastic Components Made by 3D Printing
Horák, Ondřej ; Joska, Zdeněk (referee) ; Sedlák, Josef (advisor)
The Master's thesis deals with the determination of mechanical properties of materials used for 3D printing by ALPS ELECTRIC CZECH, s.r.o. (PETG, PLA, ABS, PLA ESD), extended of new materials (ASA, PC / ABS). The prepared test samples, produced by 3D printing technology Fused Deposition Modeling, were analyzed using mechanical tests (tensile test and two hardness tests), surface roughness and dimensional accuracy. Statistical evaluation was performed for individual materials of selected parameters (tensile strength, modulus of elasticity in tension, elongation, Shore hardness, hardness of ball indentation). The conclusion of the thesis is devoted to the comparison of materials by selected parameters and production costs. The additive material PLA Filament Plasty Mladeč proved to be the best with its properties and the second lowest price.
Application of Rapid prototyping for production of historical models of assault force vehicles
Malý, Ondřej ; Sedlák, Josef (referee) ; Dvořáček, Jan (advisor)
The paper deals with the production and subsequent evaluation of produced historical trolleys Steyr K2670 models at a scale of 1:120. For manufacturing of the product was used rapid prototyping technology, which creates objects based on the virtual designs. In order to compare, the prototype model was built on different machines, using different methods of making bodies. Based on the final product was produced 3D printing silicone mould, into which was casted the modeller resin in the vacuum chamber. The conclusion is that for objects with very fine detail, it is suitable to choose a machine with high accuracy, working with thin layers of material. The prototype needs to be shaped before creating mould because silicone mould transmits most of the details, such as the texture of the surface layer structure.
Manufacturing of Components Using Rapid Prototyping Technology
Hájek, Roman ; Sedlák, Josef (referee) ; Kalivoda, Milan (advisor)
The aim of the bachelor thesis is design of planetary gear modeled in 3D program Autodesk Invertor and made using additive technology extended by Fused Deposit Modelling. In the first section is presented the most widely used methods of Rapid Prototyping. The next section is focused on design of planet gear, the process of modeling in 3D software, and analysis of needed configurations for the 3D printer.
The Use of Additive Technology for Manufacturing Components of the Sample
Vrbická, Eliška ; Sedlák, Josef (referee) ; Kalivoda, Milan (advisor)
Thesis deals with the use of additive manufacturing technologies for the production of sample components. These are mainly using method Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM). The production was used to 3D printer for based on this principle. Manufactured subject has own design of pendant, this pendant has shape of blooming flower with leaf. The model was created in SolidWokrs 2013. This model is further elaborated in the program CatalystEX. Thus originated data for the printer Dimension uPrint. Once printing is complete and upon dissolution the of aid were removed imperfections printing. Thus-to-terminated object can be used as a garnish.
Cemented carbides and theirs effective use
Crhan, Luboš ; Sedlák, Josef (referee) ; Humár, Anton (advisor)
Bachelor's thesis is elaborated in an bachelor's study program B2341 - Engineering, branch of Engineering Technology at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Brno. Work is focused primarily on issues of cemented carbides cutting tools and their effective use during machining. The first chapter describes basic informations on distribution, labelling, raw materials, manufacture, properties of cemented carbides, etc., from literary sources. Other chapters are devoted to evalution and comparsion of cutting conditions for different types of tool materials from different manufactures.
Application of Modern Technologies for a Design of Disc Coupling Production
Varhaníková, Alžbeta ; Varhaník, Matúš (referee) ; Sedlák, Josef (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the design of disc coupling and its production by using 3D printing technology. Model of disc coupling and this thesis are supposed to serve as teaching equipment for students at Secondary vocational schools. The theory section contains the essay of shaft couplings with a detailed description of disc coupling, characteristic of individual methods of Rapid Prototyping technology and materials suitable for 3D printing. The experimental section is dedicated to the calculation and construction design of disc coupling and its production using the Fused Deposition Modeling method. The thesis also contains a description of post-production processing and assembly. The attachments of the thesis consist of assembly mechanical drawing and production mechanical drawing of drive disc.
Production of a presentation article using the CAD/CAM technology
Veselý, Lukáš ; Kalivoda, Milan (referee) ; Sedlák, Josef (advisor)
Bachelor thesis deals with general terminology and technology of machining - particularly milling with description of tool materials for cutting tools. Part of thesis is creating scheme and model of presentation object with software Autodesk Inventor Professional 2010. Last part of thesis is focused on creating a blueprint and machining strategy with CAM software PowerMill v. 9, verification of created lanes creation itself on vertical milling machine FV 25 CNC with guiding system Heidenhain iTNC 530.
Design and efficiency of FDM printing parameters
Sysel, Karel ; Sedlák, Josef (referee) ; Zemčík, Oskar (advisor)
The essence of the work is to test the possibilities specific type of simple 3D printing device, which has recently been getting more and more into the awareness of professionals and the general public. First, the work is focused on presentation 3D printing technology and current professional equipment, in the second part are experimentally evaluated possibilities of of a simple kind of 3D printers followed by assessment of the applicability of the device in engineering practice.
Machining threading holes with cutting operation, pressing and shaping.
Rybář, Pavel ; Sedlák, Josef (referee) ; Kalivoda, Milan (advisor)
This project wrought in terms of bachelor studies program 2307 submits a proposal of technology of production internal thread in thin-walled components. Selection of technology is done on the basis of three basic methods evaluation – welding nuts, riveting nuts and thermal shaping. On the basis of literary studies the optimal application is proposed. There is reduced choice of tools and assembly equipment used only for one type of technology. The choice of fastening parts material is possible done in conformity with product material, thread strength according to whole construction or design engineer choice. For proper choice of technology there are technical data sheets of fastening parts and description of thread mechanical properties.
Design and Production of Clamps for Mandrels ISO 40
Tomešek, Viktor ; Kalivoda, Milan (referee) ; Sedlák, Josef (advisor)
Main aim of this bachelor’s thesis is to design and product clamp for mandrel ISO 40. This clamp will replace the other one, which is used in the milling workshop C2 on BUT Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. It will ensure easier and faster operator’s work during tool change. Also manufacturing process, selected material and cutting conditions are described in this thesis. Theory necessary for an understanding of the issues is stated in introductory section. In the final part, there is executed technical-economical evaluation with the overall costings associated with the production of the clamp for mandrel.
