Sedláček, Tomáš ; Suchánek, Jiří (referee) ; Krekovič, Slavomír (advisor)
The project is conceived as audiovisual performance using own author´s software. The project is focused on experiments with transfer of three-dimensional data, two-dimensional image into the sound and on the contrary. The goal of the project is to explore medium itself and to find new solutions.
Fuell cells
Sedláček, Tomáš ; Elcner, Jakub (referee) ; Hejčík, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor thesis describes the distribution of fuel cells, principle of their operation and composition of the individual cell types. It states the advantages or disadvantages of the individual cell types and summarizes their basic parameters. This thesis also refers to the current state of development of fuel cells and convenient areas of their application.
Development of Imaging Methods and its Importance to Biomechanics
Sedláček, Tomáš ; Houfek, Martin (referee) ; Florian, Zdeněk (advisor)
The main objective of this bachelor thesis is to collect all available literature, from which can reader obtain basic knowledge of imaging methods. The methods are divided by its origin into four categories: x-rays, magnetic resonance, ultrasound and nuclear medicine. Each of them is described from the historical, physics and technological view. At the end the importance of each method to medicine and biomechanics is summarized.
Design and implementation of the seat tickets reservation system
Sedláček, Tomáš ; Pecinovský, Rudolf (advisor) ; Rais, Aziz (referee)
The topic of this master thesis is the design and development of the seat ticket reservation web application. Developed application should be useful for organizers of various cultural and sport events and should help them to manage ticket reservations agenda. Application should be useful for visitors of these events too. Visitors will be able to easily choose the preferred seats and complete the reservation within the application. The evaluation of existing tools designated for seat reservations management is the important part of this master thesis. According to the previous evaluation, the author's own experience and consultations with several organizers of public events, functionality requirements of the web application are specified. The acting roles are also defined and the most important use cases are stated for them. Web application of the seat reservation system is programmed using the latest web technologies such as PHP, Javascript, CSS3 and is based on the Nette PHP framework. The resulting web application is publicly accessible at http://demo.e mistenka.cz.
Problems of narrowly specialized technical translation: electronic dictionary of technical terms related to modern firearms, ammunition and their accessories
SEDLÁČEK, Tomáš
This master´s thesis collects vocabulary from the field of modern firearms and their accessories in English and Czech languages and forms it into a dictionary which compares the specialized translation with the translation that is provided by a technical dictionary. The theoretical part focuses on explaining the basic terminology from the field of lexicography, it introduces a brief look at the development and typology of dictionaries and the process of forming a dictionary. Detailed examination of technical and electronic dictionaries is provided and description of the specific aspects of firearm terminology. The practical part presents the specialized resources used in this work, the process of creating and layout of the dictionary which is the final product of this thesis. The conclusion summarizes the difference between the basic translation and the specialized translation and gives evidence of these differences by providing examples from the created dictionary.
About the educational potential of serious games
SEDLÁČEK, Tomáš
Serious games are praised for their ability to educate their players in a varienty of social topics. This quality is based on their ability to represent social processes by the game proces itself which the player can experience. Goal of this work is to describe the development of serious games and ilustrate their technical base, content and the way in which they relate to reality and their players. This work will try to answer the question: How can serious games make it easier for players to gain knowledge and experience with social processes within the game.
The comparison of open-source Content Management Systems (CMS) built in PHP language
Sedláček, Tomáš ; Pavlíčková, Jarmila (advisor) ; Fortinová, Jana (referee)
The massive document publishing on internet required specialised systems for easier management and distribution of these documents. Therefore still better and more complex content management systems (CMS) have been evolved and are being developed. But there exists too many of these systems, so one can not understand all of them and can not compare them completely. The main goal of this thesis is to recapitulate and compare three selected open-source CMSs, written in the PHP programming language, which are nowadays used for building of web pages and web aplications. The systems are Drupal, Joomla! and WordPress. Comparison will be performed by evaluating of selected content management systems. The rating system will be based on predefined performance criterions. These criterions do not try to cover the whole issue of selecting the appropriate CMS. Rather, they try to complement the already existing similar comparisons and summarize together with them the view at the whole issue.
Polyvinyl chloride catheters with repressed migration of plasticizers
Sedláček, T. ; Polášková, M. ; Kašpárková, V. ; Filip, Petr ; Sáha, P.
Impart flexibility and desired softness of polyvinylchloride (PVC) – one of the most widely used polymeric materials for medical device production – is achieved by addition of appropriate amount of plasticizer, usually di(2-ethylhexyl phthalate) (DEHP), into polymer matrix. DEHP is not chemically bonded to PVC and migrates to the surrounding media such as saliva, blood, plasma, or serum resulting in several toxic effects. Migration of DEHP can be significantly suppressed by embedding PVC into another polymer preventing its direct contact with surrounding liquid media. Coextruded TPU-PVC-TPU catheters were prepared with various thicknesses of TPU layers to evaluate its repressing effect on DEHP releasing. Releasing kinetic of DEPH from both three layered catheters and PVC catheters into the acetonitrile was observed in various time intervals and determined using reverse-phase liquid chromatographic technique.
Polyvinyl chloride filled with bismuth oxychloride powder
Polášková, M. ; Sedláček, T. ; Kharlamov, Alexander ; Pivokonský, Radek ; Saha, P.
Mixing of polymers with radiopaque agents enables the polymers visibility on X-ray images and represents the easiest way to accurately locate the polymeric surgical device during a critical procedure. Medical-grade polyvinyl chloride was compounded with various amounts of bismuth oxychloride, chosen for its unique properties such as high radiopacity, non-toxicity, excellent chemical and physical stability and good dispersibility in the polymeric matrix. Micro-compounder Haake MiniLab II, consisting of a conical co-rotating twin-screw compounder with an integrated backflow channel, was used for melt mixing and simultaneously for rheological measurement. Rheological data received from micro-compounder were supplemented and correlated with the data obtained from Anton Paar rotational rheometer. Structure of prepared composites was studied by scanning electron microscopy, and their thermo-mechanical properties were tested using dynamic mechanical analysis.
