Schejbalová, Dominika ; Soukup, Jaromír (advisor) ; Ditrych, Ondřej (referee)
In this bachelor thesis I analysed the final part of the decolonization the British Empire. I focused on the development under the second government of the Prime Minister Harold Macmillan in 1960 - 1963. His "Wind of Change" speech was at the beginning of a new approach to British colonial policy. I analysed the most important events in the process of decolonization the British Empire. I concentrated to the countries that become independence from the Great Britain in these years (1960 - 1963). The Macmillan's wind of change blew through not only Africa, but also through other continents. The British way wasn't simple. Great Britain proved (in the contrast to France and other colonial powers) the excellent diplomacy. After the Second World War the British Empire was unsustainable and the British statesmen knew it. Bloody fights and wars wasn't solution. The Mau Mau Rebellion is the best evidence and the Great Britain learned a lesson from this political fail. In this thesis I analysed that the gradual and calm decolonization was the best method of political abdication in the colonies. It showed the political, cultural and diplomatic level of the Great Britain. British relations with ex-colonial countries stayed relatively good and they often continued in the economic cooperation. Most of British...
Conditions of the rise of technocratic cabinets in Europe
Schejbalová, Dominika ; Brunclík, Miloš (advisor) ; Švec, Kamil (referee)
The thesis analyzes the key conditions under which technocratic cabinets in Europe are formed. There are 45 technocratic cabinets in Europe since 1989. This year is connected with collapse of communist regimes in Central and East Europe and democratization. There are also similar political, economic and social conditions under which all governments are formed in this period. The thesis composed of nineteen chapters. Because of lack of literature we have to define the technocratic government at first. After introduction of this topic, the second chapter defines basic terminology. Another part of the thesis is about technocratic cabinets in individual European countries.
The Lords of Hradec in the Hussite Times
Schejbalová, Dominika ; Čechura, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Jarošová, Markéta (referee)
In my diploma thesis I deal with the family of the lords of Hradec, who in the 15th century strongly opposed George of Poděbrady and at the same time worked in important diplomatic circles, mostly alongside the rulers of the Czech kingdom. The main point of my work is Menhart II. from Hradec, an important diplomat and nobleman who was an important figure in the Hussite era. I also focus on Oldřich V. of Hradec, who fought in the affairs of his father and Henry IV. from Hradec, appearing in a unity armed against George of Poděbrady. The work is supplemented by the Strakonice and Zelenohorský units, which arose during individual disputes.
History of the Rábí Castle
Schejbalová, Dominika ; Čechura, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Jarošová, Markéta (referee)
The bachelor thesis is concentrating on the history of the castle Rabí. I pay attention to the history of the castle itself in the first part of my thesis and I attempt to map its foundation, the origin of its name and, without omission, its owners who were withholding it. I attempt to introduce the way the castle was grasped in particular literary sources. The second part presents the evolution of the building process of the castle, in which I also mention a church of significant importance - The Holy Trinity Church. And of course the current functioning of the place. I concentrate on individual viewings. The goal of the thesis is to tight up the information about the castle since it has been founded till this day.
