Design of small vertical turning machine

Task of this project is design of small vertical lathe. First part is focused on theory of turning technology, sort of lathe types, overview of vertical lathes including description of componets which vertical lathes consist of. At the second part of this project there is performed a propose of the machined part and a propose of cutting machine. The last part of this project provides base structure calculations and analysis needed for design proposal of a small vertical lathe according to specified parametres.

This project wrought in terms of bachelor studies program 2307 submits a proposal of technology of production internal thread in thin-walled components. Selection of technology is done on the basis of three basic methods evaluation – welding nuts, riveting nuts and thermal shaping. On the basis of literary studies the optimal application is proposed. There is reduced choice of tools and assembly equipment used only for one type of technology. The choice of fastening parts material is possible done in conformity with product material, thread strength according to whole construction or design engineer choice. For proper choice of technology there are technical data sheets of fastening parts and description of thread mechanical properties.

Memory as a political phenomenon. Reflections on the public debate about The Act on the Lawlessness of the Communist Regime

This thesis aims to set a basic framework for "memories of communism" which come along with attempts on political construction of the past during post-1989 regime. Based on the example of public debate about "The Act on the Lawlessness of the Communist Regime and on Resistance Against It", we will attempt to reveal main resources of anti-communist rhetoric and symbols, and to clarify the role they played in forging political identities in the first half of the 1990s. While the introductory chapter explores concepts which allow us to conceptualize memory in the analysis of the political, other chapters are devoted to various interpretations of the past in the context of discussions of de- communization measures that belong to the category of "coming to terms with the past" (Lustration Act, The Act on the Lawlessness of the Communist Regime). Does Czech anti-communism result from those measures adopted between 1991 and 1993, or does their adoption seek to reduce the plurality of politics of memory? Are attempts to label the previous regime as criminal the exclusive form of anti-communism, or does anti-communism amount to a combination of moral, legal and political arguments that seek to criminalize the previous social and legal order? Recent history of the Czech sports journalism from the perspective of former members of the Sports Journalists' Association

The heart of this thesis consists of life stories narrated by former as well as current sports journalists and it focuses on sports journalism as a profession in political and social contexts. The first part gives an example of theories which deconstruct the myth of sport as an apolitical phenomenon. The second part reconstructs the history of public appearances of sport by examining attitudes, values and desires of interviewees. Using the snowball sampling technique -- recruitment of future subjects from among their acquaintances -- the researcher processes memories of eight interviewees whose information is classified into four main topics. Those include answers to under what conditions interviewees made a decision on their occupation, which sports they were concerned with, what reputation those sports had, what constraints they faced in their job, and what other unexpected roles their profession implies. As a whole, this text describe sports journalism as sine qua non for an outset of the tendency which began to grow during the 1950s in Czechoslovakia -- the attraction extending beyond the leisure activity and the top level sport gaining in popularity.
