Title: System of Prevocational Assessment Centers in the Czech Republic and his functioning in the process of Prevocational Assessment from the perspective of the Occupational therapist Abstract: Prevocational assessment is a process intended for people with disabilities, during this process, the work potential of the client is evaluated for employment purposes. The applicant for this examination can be the Labor Office, the employer or the client himself. The prevocational assessment examination is attended by an interprofessional rehabilitation team, an integral part of this team are doctors, as well as non-medical professions, including an occupational therapist. The prevocational assessment examination is a very important component of the entire prevocational assessment, as it is the most time-consuming part of this examination.The examination takes place in one of thirteen specialized Prevocational Assessment centers in the Czech Republic. All centers must meet personal, substantive and material standards. Conclusions from individual examinations are presented by experts from the team at a case conference. The output of the prevocational assessment examination is a final report that contains a positive recommendation of what the client can handle or could handle.
