Optimization of sliding gate profiles
Gajdůšek, Tomáš ; Profant, Tomáš (referee) ; Fuis, Vladimír (advisor)
This thesis deals with stress and strain analysis of real self-supporting sliding gate produced by company Technopark CZ. s.r.o. In the first part of work is analyzed theory, which is used for calculations. In computational part is created model of self-supporting sliding gate and then analytically solves deformations and stresses in this model. The analytical solution is verified by the numerical solution in Ansys. At the end of the thesis are evaluated the knowledge and created the optimal dimensioning of the profiles.
Influence of production stresses on the safety of cylindric pressure vessels
Krakovský, Andrej ; Profant, Tomáš (referee) ; Burša, Jiří (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with influence of production stresses on the safety of cylindrical pressure vessels. Pressure vessels are made by sheet rolling. In this process the yield strength is exceeded, which leads to creating residual stresses. These stresses can influence final safety of vessels, if any heat treating isn’t done. In this thesis residual stresses are analytically calculated for cylindrical pressure vessel of wagon tank and for theoretical thick-walled vessel. After that safety with and without residual stresses are compared. The last part of this thesis describes method of removing these stresses.
Napjatostně deformační analýza mostu ve Starém Městě u Frýdku-Místku
Janík, Rostislav ; Profant, Tomáš (referee) ; Fuis, Vladimír (advisor)
The bachelor thesis analyses stress and strain of real railway bridge. Construction of bridge is modelled as plane bar system. The fisrt part of the thesis deals with a research, which includes obtaining information from theory, which is necessary for the right solution of the task. Next part dedicates to analytic solution of statically determinate and indeterminate variation of structure for load by own weight and also for load during passage of the train. In the next part are the results of analytic solution verified by numerical solution in program ANSYS. In the last part is evaluated the risk of buckling for all variations of the load.
An application of the boundary element method to some elasticity problem
Tesařová, Anežka ; Hlavička, Rudolf (referee) ; Profant, Tomáš (advisor)
This thesis is concerned with the Boundary element method. This is one of the numerical methods used to solve some problems of the mechanics, which are described by partial diffrential equations. The goal of this thesis is to formulate the Boundary element method for the plane problem and then apply the gained knowledge to a particular case.
Determination of a rectangular plate deformation
Mácha, Tomáš ; Profant, Tomáš (referee) ; Hrstka, Miroslav (advisor)
The aim of the thesis is to derive the analytical equations for calculating the deformation of a rectangular plate using Kirchhoff and Mindlin theory and their subsequent application. The first section provides some basic relations in the theory of elasticity, on which this derivation is based. Both of the theories are solved using Navier method of Fourier series. By the following the results of these two methods can be compared. The comparison is carried out using Python where the derived relations with given input parameters are used. This is how the magnitude of deflection over the entire surface of the plate is obtained. Historical part includes a description of the gradual development from the second half of the 18th century, up to the invention of the finite element method. Finally, these theories have been applied to some specific examples and the results have been analyzed and consecutively compared with results from ANSYS. The limitations and suitability of these theories are then outlined.
Significance of tensile stresses in a bended beam with constrained axial deformation
Wolf, Jonatan ; Profant, Tomáš (referee) ; Burša, Jiří (advisor)
Bachelor’s thesis deals with the significance of tension stresses produced by the bending of a beam with avoided longitudinal deformation. This problem is mainly solved by exact calculations of tensile stresses for different kinds of geometry, materials and the size lateral loads of the beam. The solution is done numerically using the MATLAB program. The result of this work is the assessment of tensile stress significance and comparison with other stresses, namely temperature stress. One of the partial results of the work is also the determination of the limit value of the slenderness of the beam for the given bending stress for which this tensile stress becomes significant.
On the Problems of LEFM of Composite Materials
Kopp, Dalibor ; Profant, Tomáš (referee) ; Klusák,, Jan (advisor)
The objects of this bachelor thesis is to familiarize oneself with the basics of linear elastic fracture mechanics (LEFM) of homogeneous materials and to specify these problems for composite materials. The work is divided into three parts. The first part is aimed at the basics of LEFM. The second part is concerned with generalization of LEFM. The third part is oriented to the numerical application of the studied problems to notches composed of two orthotropic materials.
Boundary element method in enfgineering practise
Man, Vojtěch ; Horníková, Jana (referee) ; Profant, Tomáš (advisor)
In this work the introduction to numerical modelling of real system is described. For Boundary Element Method (BEM) show it basic advantages and disadvantages and solves problem boundary integral equations for 1-D case. Solutions elastic line are compared with solutions from elasticity and stability.
A torsion of the beam with non-circular cross-section
Kalivoda, Ondřej ; Hrstka, Miroslav (referee) ; Profant, Tomáš (advisor)
Bachelor thesis deals with the analytical and numerical methods solving the problems of the torsion of bars with various geometries of cross-sections. The theoretical background of the problem is introduced in the beginning of the thesis. The possibilities of the analytical solution of the partial differential equations in the case of the simplified shapes of the cross-sections are discussed in the following part. These results are compared with the numerical ones received from the finite element analysis via the ANSYS software. The numerical results are extended to the cases of the generalized shapes of the beam cross-sections.

Sejbal, Štěpán ; Profant, Tomáš (referee) ; Horníková, Jana (advisor)
The purpose of this work is gathering and comparing of literary foundations to implementing of singular functions and their applications at foreign universities and in world literature.
