Brabec, Jiří ; Süss, Vladimír (advisor) ; Pravečková, Petra (referee)
 Title: The Comparative analysis of selected muscle groups function in the specific kinds of softball pitches by means of the surface electromyography.  Purposes: Goal of the thesis is to measure involvement of selected muscle groups at different stages of a softball pitch and then compare this activity for different types of pitches.  Methods: Surface electromyography analysis and a simple kinematic analysis.  Results: The results show differences in a technique for the different types of pitches.  Key words: Softball, softball pitch, fastball, raiseball, dropball, change-up, curveball, electromyography 3
Kinematics changes in technique of a softball pitch
Tomášek, Petr ; Süss, Vladimír (advisor) ; Pravečková, Petra (referee)
Headline: Kinematic changes in technique of a softball pitch. Aims of thesis: I will compare the pitches ofprofessinal european softball wonam pitchers and then I will compare their technique with professional czech woman pitcher. Methods: Results: Key words: For examination of different techniques, I choosed thease professinal european softball wonam pitchers 3 Italians and 2 Greeks. Videotape was taken on European championship 2005 in Prague. For description of softball pitch I used a method of 3D analysis. They show the difference between the techniques of each pitcher and they can be used for comparison with ether studies. Softball, pitching, technique, kinematics analysis, 3D analysis. 5
Evaluation of the throwing motion in softball using surface electromyography and 2D and 3D kinematics analysis
Pravečková, Petra ; Süss, Vladimír (advisor) ; Bunc, Václav (referee) ; Janura, Miroslav (referee)
Headline: Evaluation of the throwing motion in softball using surface electromyography and 2D and 3D kinematics analysis Aim of the Thesis: To point out differences in the internal structure of various overhead throws (throwing motion in softball and in track & field (javelin), two-hand overhead throwing of a medicine ball). To describe these differences using surface electromyography and to find the cause thereof based on 2D and 3D kinematics analysis. Methods: Surface EMG measurement in combination with 2D and 3D kinematics analysis (using synchronized video recordings). Results: The results indicate differences amongst the mechanics of the throwing motion in individual disciplines. The relative timing of two various throwing motions is different from the viewpoint of an intra-individual comparison, except for the "normal throwing motion" and javelin throw from the spot, which have the same relative timing. The relative timing is different for other various throwing motions. With the use of 2D and 3D kinematics analysis, it is possible to find the causes of the differences in the internal structure of the measured throwing motions. From an intra-individual viewpoint, the relative timing of a single type of throwing motion does not change within the group of overhead throwingmotions. Key words:...
Comparative Analysis of Game Activities in Table Tennis
Šopová, Hana ; Pravečková, Petra (referee) ; Süss, Vladimír (advisor)
Title: Comparative Analysis of Game Activities in Table Tennis Objectives of the Thesis: The main goal of this thesis is to analyze the involvement of chosen muscles during table tennis game (measured with electromyograph) and to compare the muscles involvement by forehand and backhand topspin. Method: EMG is a common method for movement recording which, according to (Smidt 1991), measures the involvement of muscle in motion, together with the time aspect of this involvement. The most common method is electrical activity recording connected with contraction of certain muscles in the course of kinetic load. This way of measuring is based on electrodes which are fixed to the skin covering the involved muscles, then on intensification of the signal, and on recording on the polygraphic machine which is needed for a subsequent analysis. The surface EMG in kinesiology probes the muscles' activation, co-activation of muscle groups during the complex and selected motion, and influences of the load on muscles functioning. It can also monitor the effect of workout load. Thanks to surface electrodes, the surface electromyography registers the electrical responses of muscle group activities. The electrical equivalent of dynamical ionic exchange in the membrane area during muscle activation is recorded on the...
Actual Psychic Conditions in Softball
Vyhodnocovány byly tři složky úzkosti, a to kognitivní, somatická a behaviorální. Výsledky: Popisují působení závodní úzkosti na hráčky softballu ve třech zkoumaných komponentách. Klíčová slova: psychické stavy, závodní úzkost, měření úzkosti, softball 5
