Author: Kateřina Průchová Title: Case report of a patient after diskectomy C5/6 Objectives: In this bachelor's thesis is briefly introduced the issue of degenerative diseases of the cervical spine with a focus on physiotherapy procedures after surgery. It also includes the case of a patient after C5/6. Methods: Thesis is divided into a general and a special part. The general part is processed as a literature search about degenerative diseases of the cervical spine. The special part is processed as a case report, which was created while working with the patient after diskectomy C5/6 during the professional practise in the Rehabilitation clinic Malvazinky. Case report includes input kinesiology analysis, short-term and long-term treatment plan, draft therapy, therapeutic treatment of each unit, output kinesiology analysis and evaluation of the effect of therapy. . Keywords: physical therapy, case report, degenerative diseases of cervical spine, diskectomy
Effects of orography on spatial distribution of heavy precipitation in the north-east of the Czech Republic
Průchová, Kateřina ; Müller, Miloslav (advisor) ; Šercl, Petr (referee)
The dissertation deals with the influence of orography on the spatial distribution of heavy precipitation in the territory of the northeast Moravia and Silesia. The area was chosen because of the specific distribution of daily precipitation for heavy rainfall events in the past and also in May 2010. Cases of heavy rainfall for the period 1961 - 1995 are balanced with morphometric characteristics in the place and in the surrounding the station, defineted in face of direction air flow. For the calculation of the direction air flow are used data from 850 hPa level from reanalysis ERA-40, topographic characteristics are calculated by ArcGIS and they are correlated with the rain gauge data from stations ČHMÚ. The results show us that only the altitude does not have effect on the spatial distribution of precipitation, but it should be think over more topographic parameters. During the north and partially during the west air flow, where the precipitation are mostly from the stratiform clouds, appears a stronger orography influence on the measurement and on the spatial distribution, if we consider the morphometric characteristics behind the station in the direction of air flow. The case of south and east air flow showed us a weaker orography effect, which can be perhaps explained by a higher part of...
The effectiveness of shock wave therapy for plantar fasciitis
Průchová, Kateřina ; Pavlů, Dagmar (advisor) ; Malá, Jitka (referee)
Author: Bc. Kateřina Průchová Title: The effectiveness of shock wave therapy for plantar fasciitis Objectives: The main goal of this work is to assess the effect of the radial and focused shock wave therapy for plantar fasciitis compared with therapeutic ultrasound. Methods: The study included 55 patients with diagnose of heel spur syndrome. Patients were divided into three groups according to undergoing therapy. Group A (n = 20) received 6 applications of radial shock wave, group B (n = 20) obtained 3 applications of focused shock wave and group C received 8 applications of therapeutic ultrasound. Intensity and character of the pain were assessed before and after therapeutic intervention using non-standardized questionnaire. For the assessment and description of the results were used standard statistical indicators and methods. Results: Radial and focused shockwave therapy had according to the obtained results in the selected treatment protocol positive effect on the clinical course of the disease and was markedly more effective than therapeutic ultrasound. Almost all parameters reached the highest percentage improvement in the group treated with 6 applications of radial shock waves. There were no complications and side effects during the experiment. Keywords: heel spur, plantar fasciitis,...

The first minutes of the life physiological newborn in the mother's eyes
PRŮCHOVÁ, Kateřina
The first minutes of life of newborn individuals and the way they spend them are very important moments. A new human is born to this world from the long-familiar environment which provided them with great security and now they are coming into a totally different environment. Our objective is to make this transition as natural as possible. The most important is to let mother and newborn together as much as possible. This way we give them feeling of safety and security, the newborn will be able to listen to the mother´s heart beat and their first mutual glances occur. We can negatively influenced those moments either if we interfere their course too much by doing procedures which could be postponed off the immediate post-delivery period or if we are not able to offer the environment which is plesant for mother and newborn. In the research part of this thesis I used a qualitative research method. The aim of the study was to describe current nursing practices for physiological newborn after birth in a delivery room and compare them with the recommended practices in this area. The objectives of this thesis were accomplished, after interview analysing I described mothers´views on the topic and compared the process of a nursing care at the first treatment of a newborn in a delivery room with recommendations for this area. The survey was conducted in a medical facility (Hospital České Budějovice a.s.) where the care provided corresponds to valid standards for nursing care in neonatology. Although the care provided is in absolute accordance with the recommendations, mothers themselves in interviews in lesser or greater extent reflected a certain need of empathy from the side of the staff, more support especially in case of primapara, and this concerns not only them but also partners who accompany women at deliveries and who meet unfamiliar situations and gain new experiences.
