Volunteering in the Project 'Rehabilitation of the family' as an Aid to Vulnerable Families"

The Bachelor thesis called "Volunteering in the Project 'Rehabilitation of the family' as an Aid to Vulnerable Families" deals with the part of volunteering in social work in the Christian Aid Centre in Prague in the Diaconia of the Evangelical Church of the Czech Brethren. The centre focuses the help on families endangered with social exclusion. The main aim of the thesis is to explain the activities of volunteer workers and describe this whole project "Rehabilitation of the family" as an instrumental aid for specific families. The families can use this aid to return to their former way of life or to improve their current temporary crisis. In this bachelor thesis I portray all the problems on case studies of the families, where I was working as a volunteer. Moreover, the text contains the case studies and research of the motivation of volunteers. In the paper the biography and literature of the all used citations is presented.

Tato práce je věnována slučitelnosti práce a rodiny. Popisuji zde nástroje sociální politiky, které mají pomoci rodičům malých dětí zvládat rodičovskou i profesní roli. Sem patří institut mateřské a rodičovské dovolené, služby péče o děti. Zároveň se zmíním o několika velkých organizacích, které se touto otázkou již zabývají a uvedly ji do praxe. V závěrečné části jsem se pomocí dotazníku u vybraných menších organizací, které pracují v sociální oblasti, snažila zjistit odpověď na otázku, zda a jakým způsobem uplatňují nástroje slučitelnosti pracovního a rodinného života v praxi. The Burn-out Syndrome of the View of Social Workers of the Shelter Homes of the Citizen Association Naděje

This dissertation work is partly theoretical and partly a research, and deals with prevention of burn-out syndrome and its possible prevention in conditions of shelter homes. The attention is directed at the staff of a shelter home, i.e. workers in social services and social workers, which is a group that is directly exposed to the burn-out syndrome. The staff in question are the employees of several shelter homes of the Citizen Association Naděje in Prague. This work is divided into two parts - a theoretical part and an empirical part. The theoretical part of the work describes the burn-out syndrome - its description, its causes, syndromes and individual phases. Special attention is paid to the methods of preventing the burn- out syndrome, which include psycho-hygiene, supervision and various relaxation techniques and means which could inhibit the progress of this syndrome. An important part of this section is also a description of the environment of a shelter home and the recommended preventive measures, which, based on their application in a shelter home together with my studies of the relevant literature, I can recommend to strengthen the workers' professional competence in connection with the burn-out syndrome. Developing Key Competences as a Possible Way of Prevention from Unemployment of Women Coming Back from Maternity Leave

The work is focused on the problems of the unemployment of the women after the maternity leave ( with the pre- school children ). The task of the work is to describe the possibilities how to prevent from unemployment by means of the unfolding the key competences which are defined as knowledge, skills and habits in this work and they are determining for the successful self-assertion at the work market. Another task is to answer the question if this kind of the support of the women can be effective enough to increase their self-assertion at the work market. In the theoretical part there is apart from the problems of unemployment outlined the role of the key competences in increasing the employment. The main attention is focused on the group of the competences which are called the general skills (the competences independent on a certain subject). Among the most important competences belong communication, cooperation, solving problems, logical thought, the ability to lead, creativity, motivation and the ability to learn. The practical part is focused on the reporting the situation of the women coming back to the work market after the maternity leave in the Czech Republic, describes their needs and chances.
