The Aspects of Tourism Attractiveness: Case Study Lipno nad Vltavou Abstract: The village Lipno nad Vltavou is becoming one of the most progressively growing tourist destinations in the Czechia. It's a destination with a great potential for tourism development but it has been greatly suppressed due to the previous political system. Nowadays, the destination prosper again and its radical development can be seen in changes of functional land use, changing the composition of the offered services or the attitude of residents. This thesis should clarify if the destination is still for visitors an attractive tourist destination or it is already affected by tourism so much that it occurs to losing some visitors. key words: attractiveness, tourism, Lipno nad Vltavou
Development of agritourism in Czechia and Slovakia after the accession to the European Union

This thesis deals with rural tourism as a specific form of tourism and one of the options for diversification of agricultural activities in Czechia and Slovakia. The main aim of the paper is to evaluate the development, current state and regional differentiation of agritourism in Czechia and Slovakia. The theoretical part describes the development of agriculture since 1989 and current trends in the sector. There are also explainations of important terms in relation to agritourism as a part of rural tourism and also it's positive and negative aspects The work analyzes implementation of support for agritourism from Rural Development Programme for the period 2007 - 2013 and 2014 - 2020. Empirical part of the study aims to evaluate current state of agritourism in Czechia and Slovakia, the number of agritourism facilities in selected period and regional differentiation of agritourism in Czechia and Slovakia. For the evaluation of agritourism, we used data form the Statistical Office of Slovak Republic, Czech Statistical Office, SZIF and Ministri of Agriculture and Rural Development of the Slovak Republic.
The influence of sectoral composition of selected local action groups on their functioning

The goal of the thesis "The influence of sectoral composition of selected local action groups on their functioning" is to enhance previous bachelor thesis with a more detailed assessment of the sectoral composition impact on LAG overall functioning. Main feature of the LEADER program is cooperation, mainly between public, private and non-profit sector but also between other sectors in the area. Another goal of this thesis is an evaluation of this feature fulfillment. Theoretical part contains the explanation of basic terms and theoretical approaches related to rural development. Practical part consists of analysis of an SAIF internal data, internal data surveyed by LAGs, LAGs ex post evaluation, commonly available documents and interviews with leaders and members of LAGs. Three LAGs were selected as an area of interest, LAG Podlipansko, o.p.s, LAG - Partnership Moštěnka, o.s. and Region Pošembeří o.p.s. Elected representatives in municipal elections (case study of Kolín district)

Elected representatives in municipal elections (case study of Kolín district) Abstract This thesis deals with the theme of municipal elections, specifically analysing the final positions of candidates and the elected mayors emerged from the vote in the municipal elections in 2014 according to the size of the groups of municipalities, using the district of Kolín as an example. Author focuses particularly on the candidature to the municipal councils and related electoral participation. The characteristics of elected representatives were also examined. Two hypotheses were proposed - H1: the competitiveness of elections increases with the increasing size of the municipality and H2: voter turnout is related to interest in the candidacy (number of candidates for the mandate). The thesis uses data available from the Czech Statistical Office and BISNODE company. The results show that the mayors were usually found on top of the candidate list and came from the winning party. Compared with the national average, larger amount of mayors upheld their position. Furthermore, it was found that voter turnout is not related so much to the number of candidates for a number of mandates, rather it is related to the number of candidates for a council to the number of inhabitants. The buildable areas in the physical plan of Klatovy during the period 1994-2014

The thesis is focused on buildable areas of the town of Klatovy which represent main trends of potencial urban development in the district. The first aim of the thesis is to analyze the development of buildable zone of the town of Klatovy from 1994 to 2014. The second aim is to find out causes why another buildable areas were established in the physical plan of Klatovy in the period 1994-2014. To achieve these aims, firstly, an analysis of buildable areas was performed to evaluate a process of establishment and a process of using town buildable areas. Secondly, directed interviews were conducted with representatives of public administration as key persons of physical planning. The results of the thesis show that there was an excessive amount of established buildable areas which weren't utilized to a large extent. The main reasons for establishing new buildable areas during the assessed period related to the requirements of landowners and to an open attitude of town representatives to their approval. The success rate of implementation of the objectives of the strategic plan Leader of Local action group Český západ

Presented diploma thesis deals with issues of rural development. The thesis specifically concerns activities of local action group Český Západ and its influencing of area development during last programming period 2007 to 2013. Activity of local action groups should lead to bigger effort of public, non-profit and private sector to develop rural areas, which should also contribute to creation of social capital. The goal of this thesis is to evaluate up to now activity of local action group Český Západ and mainly evaluate objectives and priorities determined in Strategic Plan LEADER for programming period 2007 to 2013. Objectives evaluation was executed using several methods, firstly by content analysis of documents, especially analysis of the Strategic Plan or Integrated Area Development Strategy. Followed by analysis of placement of the implemented projects in territory of LAG. Further was executed a questionnaire survey by questioning the general public from all over the area of activity of local action group. The last evaluation method used was method structured interview with experts participating in local action group Český Západ as a whole. Typology of rural space in the Pilsen Region and evaluation of soft factors of the development

- Typology of rural space in the Pilsen Region and evaluation of soft factors of the development Presented diploma thesis deals with an important theme of rural differentiation. The goal is to create a typology of rural space within the Pilsen Region by potential of the development using quantitative data and then verify the typology by qualitative research of soft factors. The verification consists firstly in research of perception and regional identity of rural regions from the point of view of actors involved in rural development within the Pilsen Region and secondly in evaluation of appearance of chosen rural municipalities to observe the differences of each type. Theoretical part is focused on issues of differentiation of space, institutional theories with accent on application in the rural areas and rural development issues. Analytical part consists of created typology using component and cluster analysis. Further it presents the results of analysis of perception and regional identity of rural regions using method of semi-structured interviews and results of analysis of appearance of municipalities using standardized observation. Comparison and selection of landscape indices for assessing the rate of urban sprawl

A process of suburbanization is currently a very much discussed topic. This phenomenon of population and human activities transfer from core cities to their background can have harmful effects not only on local inhabitants, but also on surrounding landscape and its function. Landscape ecology responds to this development by quantifying and evaluating its impact on landscape functions. This diploma thesis summarizes published results about effects of suburbanization on natural environment. The main objective of the thesis is selection of an appropriate indicator(s) (landscapes metrics) to evaluate rate and intensity of this process. Development potential of parts of municipalities on example of Police nad Metují

Czech settlement system is known for a large number of small municipalities and there are discussions about limited possibilities for their development or even the integration of small municipalities. But there is lack of discussion about problems of parts of municipalities. This bachelor work describes development problems of parts of municipalities. These problems are often similar as development problems of small municipalities. The main hypothesis of this thesis is that development pottential is influenced by population size. This hypothesis was verified by quantitative analysis of available data and by own observation in the parts of municipalities. In the case of Police nad Metují this hypothesis was proved. The objective of thesis "Regional differences in sectoral composition of Local Action Groups in Czechia" is to provide a survey of sectoral composition of each Local Action Group, to find if there are differences in the composition and what impact has the composition on type of realized projects within LAGs. The other objective is evaluation of LAG's webpage user-friendliness. The theoretical part deals with the definition of rural areas and with introduction of national "Program rozvoje venkova", Programme LEADER and terms as Local Action Group, National Network of Local Action Group. The practical part investigates set objectives with cartographical tools, webpages are analyzed with internet research as well as Local Action Groups.
