V Česku je velký počet malých obcí a často se diskutuje o omezených možnostech jejich rozvoje nebo dokonce i o integraci malých obcí. Méně se však diskutuje o problémech částí obcí (měst). Tato bakalářská práce popisuje rozvojové problémy částí obcí, které jsou často podobné jako rozvojové problémy malých obcí. Hlavní hypotézou práce je, že rozvojový potenciál je výrazně ovlivněn populační velikostí. Tato hypotéza byla ověřována pomocí kvantitativní analýzy dostupných dat a vlastního pozorování v částech obce, přičemž na příkladu obce Police nad Metují byla tato hypotéza prokázána. But there is lack of discussion about problems of parts of municipalities. This bachelor work describes development problems of parts of municipalities. These problems are often similar as development problems of small municipalities. The main hypothesis of this thesis is that development pottential is influenced by population size. This hypothesis was verified by quantitative analysis of available data and by own observation in the parts of municipalities. In the case of Police nad Metují this hypothesis was proved.
