Design and Simulation of Micro-Bolometer in MEMS Technology
Communication node Localization Techniques in Wireless Sensor Networks
Pekárek, Jan ; Kubánková, Anna (referee) ; Šimek, Milan (advisor)
The bachelor´s thesis describes wireless sensor networks and communication protocols. Below this thesis contains basic algorithms for localization techniques communication nodes in wireless sensor networks. These basic algorithms are classified by methods. The bachelor´s thesis values algorithms by their advantages or disadvantages for usage in the suggested localization algorithm. In this thesis is solved a new simulating programme J-SIM, peruse separate package that are useful in the wireles sensor networks. In J-SIM is created a sensor network and models separate communication nodes. Models communication nodes are created separately for sensor nodes and target nodes. For localization algorithm is created program in the programming language Java which run results from simulating programme J-SIM. Programme J-SIM, simulation created by virtue of Tcl script and final programme are applied to CD.
Gecko mimicking surfaces
The Use of Artificial Intelligence for Decision Making
Nezbedová, Katarína ; Pekárek, Jan (referee) ; Dostál, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the Tamari attractor problem and its application for forming a prediction model. The core of the work is to create a simulation program in the MATLAB development environment and to use it to create and compare several case studies of a predictive model based on different parameters. This model is graphically illustrated and supplemented by economic interpretation.
Low power MEMS heating membrane
Svatoš, Vojtěch ; Pekárek, Jan (referee) ; Hubálek, Jaromír (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to create the MEMS heating membrane with low power consumption. This work includes the main of design and fabrication processes of these heating elements. It was decided that the final sample will be created as suspended membrane type of the structure. It the end of the thesis there is detailed overview of the whole fabrication processes used for fabrication of final samples and the experiment to prove the resistance due to thermal stress.
Optimization of electrochemical sensor for detection in microvolume
Gajdoš, Libor ; Pekárek, Jan (referee) ; Prášek, Jan (advisor)
This thesis describes optimization and modification of standard thick-film electrochemical sensor to be able to be used for detection in microvolumes. In the theoretical part, the thick film technology is described. The work is then focused on the wettability of surfaces followed by introduction to electrochemistry and electro-analytical methods. In the experimental part, screen-printing of various types of thick film pastes on ceramic substrates for determination of their wettability and the following modification of the sensors with thick-film paste and with Parylene vaporization can be found, as well as the basic electrochemical measurements in microvolume using the modified sensor. Finally the results are summarized in conclusion.
Use of Fuzzy Logic in Investment Risk Evaluation
Hřebíčková, Jana ; Pekárek, Jan (referee) ; Dostál, Petr (advisor)
This master thesis is dealing with development and application of a model that employs fuzzy logic. The model is used to support a decision of a selected Czech company that plans to invest abroad and establish a subsidiary. Selected indicators determine an investment risk in all countries considered for the investment. The model was implemented in parallel in two systems: MS Excel and MATLAB®.
Advanced techniques of micromachining
Šalomoun, Vojtěch ; Prášek, Jan (referee) ; Pekárek, Jan (advisor)
Fabrication of micro-electro-mechanical systems (MEMS) requires advanced level of miniaturization, which is not achievable by technology used in microeletronics. Socalled micromachining covers many unique techniques of material processing to get microstructures with possible dimensions below 1 m. This bachelor’s thesis gives a general introduce to micromachining of MEMS. Its focus is on bulk and surface micromachining by wet and dry etching. The practical part contains design of microstructures, their manufacturing process and creation of computer models in CoventorWare suite.
Cathode nanostructures in MEMS applications
Pekárek, Jan ; Vrba, Radimír (referee) ; Ficek, Richard (advisor)
The main goal of this work is to introduce new carbon structures - carbon nanotubes. The main objective of this work is to take advantage of the unique characteristic of carbon nanotubes to emit electrons at very low supply voltage.
Characterization of graphene electrical properties on MEMS structures
Brodský, Jan ; Pekárek, Jan (referee) ; Gablech, Imrich (advisor)
This work presents basic properties of graphene, methods for its synthesis and methods for its characterization by Raman spectroscopy, two-point probe, four-point probe and van der Pauw measurements. The experimental part of this work describes the process of graphene oxide, reduced graphene oxide and graphene sample preparation and measurement of its current-voltage characteristic by two-point probe method. Subsequently, sample annealing in vacuum furnace is described in this work. The annealing is important for acquiring good electrical contact between the 2D material and electrodes. Sample analysis by Raman spectroscopy is performed. The last chapters of this work describe design and fabrication of MEMS structure. Such structure serves for characterization of graphene and other 2D materials.
