Social Support for Nurses in Intensive Care Units Bachelor work deals with the problematics of social support for nurses in the intensive care units. The theoretic part defines the social support, describes the problematics of the social support, the psychology and psychological hygienics of the nurse. The empiric part presents results of a questionary research in 100 nurses who work in the intensive care units of different clinical disciplines in the University Hospital in Hradec Králové.

A violance in medical departments and ways to solve the problem Key words: physical force, verbal assault, aggression, patient, health workers, factors contributing to the violance at the workplace, measures to reduce the violance at the workplace. We have been meeting the term violance more frequently during the last few years. There is no doubt that violance at the medical departments is a very serious problem with a possible health and, moreover, social and economic sequels. I focused on the problem of violance in the theoretical part of my work ( especially on types and possible risk factors of an aggressive behavior, possible attitudes to the aggressor, immediate reactions and cosequences of violance to the victim ). Empirical research is based on analysis of the daily press articles informing about attacked health workers and on mapping of violance in the departments of the Faculty Hospital Královské Vinohrady. The results of investigation show not only the departments with a higher risk of the encountered violance, but also the type of aggressor and victim. The conclusion of empirical investigation is paid to the safety measures, which lead to the reducing of the violance rate at the departments of Faculty Hospital Královské Vinohrady.

JIROUSKOVA, Klara. Humane attitude to the dying patient in nursing. Bachelor's work The topic, I've chosen for my bachelor's work is dealing with problems in humane attitude of nursing staff to the dying patient. The study is dedicated to those, who are daily faced to death on their wards, and feel themselves not to be familiar with appropriate approach to the dying patient- mostly to the medical staff in hospitals. This bachelor's work is composed of two parts - theoretical and empirical. In the first, theoretic part, I've focused on the process of dying, with it's stages, on the patient's reactions to the threatening death, and also on the mental changes, dying man have to go through in this process. The study is concerning the specific needs of terminally ill patients, as well as, the possibilities of psychological help. Particular attention is paid to the euthanasia, to the palliative and hospice care. The study is trying to clarify, that euthanasia, with respect to the palliative and hospice care, can not be regarded as a "dignified death". Study deals also with the "burn out" syndrome that usually affects nursing staff taking care mostly of critically ill patients, pointing out its causes, process, and possible prevention. Relatives' visits at intensive care units relatives'and staff's view

It is desired to know the meaning on relatives visits liberalization on intensive care unit in the view of visitors and the staff. Questionnaires about the visits possible problems were filled up by visitors (53 persons) and intensive care nurses (60 persons). The next results are formulated: The visits of relatives at intensive care unite are obvious and is the obligatory part of treatment process. It is not routine practise to know the patient's wish about the plan visit before the visit. Nobody of visitors was discouraged from visiting the patient on intensive care unit. It is necessary to construct the unites with the better possibility of privacy. The relatives prefer the long duration of visit. The relatives means, that a comatose patient can hear them and the visit helps the patient in healing process. The intensive care unit staff must allow relatives to presence during some therapeutic and diagnostic procedures.
Appearance of a nurse as a part of non verbal communication

Appearance of a nurse as a part of non verbal communication. This work focuses on the aspects of the nurses' uniforms from the non verbal communication point of view. The introduction is devoted to the history of uniforms, further it deals with the word communication, which is latter divided into verbal and non verbal. The empirical part works with non verbal discourse. Based on a survey done among patients we can say that uniform and all its aspects play in a key role in client's care as the uniform forms trust to the medical officer. The hospital staff assessed their uniforms, too. They evaluated their contentment with their uniforms and added some comments. The appendix contains graphs of some parameters and also photo documentation of historical uniforms.

The aim of this bachelor work is to compare the quality, the level and the system of the nurse education in Czech republic and in Switzerland. In the theoretic part is described the graduate end continual education for this profession, its history, ways of control of the education and the system of the mutual recognition. The research part of this work is concerned with the evaluation and interpretation of the results acquired in the opinion poll among czech and swiss students and nurses. Further is separately discussed the opinion of expert teachers.

Fear connected to invasive actions on patients aged 50+ This bachelor thesis is designed for nurses' needs mainly. Its aim was to investigate the patients-ill-with-colorectal-carcinoma 's fear in connection with an invasive action - an operation. In the theoretical part the terms of fear; pain; ageing and old age; dying have been defined, the data connected to colorectal carcinoma; its symptoms; diagnostics; therapy; prevention; care for patients with colostomy have been inserted. In the empirical part a research of in-patients' fear before or after the operation was carried out, in the form of a standardized interview. The interview consisted of six sets of question; the patients' authentic answers are quoted in the results of the research, supplemented with the author's short commentary.

Mobbing at a sick-nursery working place Key words: psychical terror, conflicts, aggression, nursing staff The work deals with psychical terror at a working place. The aim of theoretical part is to show possible strategies of mobbing and to indicate possibilities of protecting in the case of becoming its victim. At the theoretical level the most often types of stricken persons are defined. The work is aimed to the children's age in searching the sourses. In the empirical part of the work are the symptoms of mobbing and sourses of its origin in nursing staff are discovered. Another aim is comparing differences between standard and acute nursing care. Three concrete casuistries show real mobbing in use among nurses. According to my search "fat ground" for the rise of mobbing exists at the most places of work. The work judges also the approach of superiors, especially departmental sisters, to solve conflict situations at a working place.
Life Quality of patients after bone marrow transplantation

LIFE QUALITY OF PATIENTS AFTER BONE MARROW TRANSPLANTATION In the year 2005-2006 a research was conducted on the life quality of patients after bone marrow transplantation. The study group involved samples from 41 patients treated with heamatogenous cells transplantation. The research was conducted in the Department of Transplantation of Internal medicine clinics II in the University Hospital in Hradec Kralové. In a theoretical part there were determined some aims which were verified in an empirical part.Likewise another theoretical methods the transplantation affects the further progress of the disease and the life quality connected to it.The out come of the research was to determine the extent of the influence between the disease and the haematogenous cells transplantation on the life quality of the patients. The determinants involved considerations of physical, psychological and also social aspects of the subject.The results of this study demonstrates both positive and negative influence of the respective treatment in the life quality of the patients in their above mentioned fields.
