This bachelor's research thesis is focused on the toddlers' injuries and their prevention. The main goal of this research is to find out if parents are informed about injury prevention at this particular stage of the child's life. The work stresses the seriousness of this topic. This work is based on statistical data from childhood injuries. The main part of this work is a survey of the circumstances of children's injury prevention. The research sample consists of parents in the Hradec Králové area who have children between the ages of one and three. The research survey took place over a seven month period.
The issue of acces the nurses the dying and death

This thesis has dealt with the attitudes and the opinions of nurses towards dying and death. The theoretic part is considered on the definition of death and dying,physical symptoms and the personality of the nurse.The practical part has surveyed and compared the opinions of the nurses, who have been working in the medicial institutions of long-term diseased. These nurses have had a different work experience with bed sitting.This part has decribed, how nurses see their patients and the patients'families in time of dying and death. They mentioned their own apprehensions of dying and their wishes of where and how they would like to die. It has surveyed the access of nurses to dying people, nursing care with dying patients and the care of the dead body.
Nursing Errors

Key words: nursing errors, nurse, medical worker, patient, profession, communication Nursing errors represent psychological, ethic, and economic problem. Safety of patients is a priority for all healthcare facilities. However, an absolute security cannot be achieved. Prerequisite for success of risk reduction in nursing errors is a proactive involvement both of qualified and general public. Theoretical part describes possibilities of patient's injuries caused by a nurse, profession of nurses as regarded by medical psychology, communication of nurses in relation to the nursing errors. Empiric part of the work gives structured interviews in a form of quantitative research with ten nurses in two hospitals. The aim of this research is to determine the awareness of nurse errors, factors affecting nurse errors, work experiences, possible proposals for nurse error prevention.
Nursing of clients after a cerebrovascular accident at home environment

The thesis is focused on clients who had a cerebrovascular accident and on their relatives who care for them. It describes the changes which clients and their relatives experience. It explains the terms "need", "social services", "nursing care". The importance of taking care for clients at home is emphasized. The research was carried out by the method of questionnaires with family members of hospitalized patients. The aim of the investigation was to establish the possibilities of home nursing of patients with a cerebrovascular accident. The investigation was executed at the neurological part of the multi-branch intensive care unit at the Regional Hospital in Karlovy Vary, at the hospital in Sokolov.
Specifics of the immediate nurse care of people suffering from dementia in the social care institution

The bachelor work was focused on specialities of nurse care for people suffering from dementia. In the theoretical part I mention the summary of existing findings from the sphere of dementia in the medical and social viewpoint. I collect informations exploitating the professional and specialist literature. In my work I document factual needs of demented people, care and its specific aspects. In the practical part I analyse and explicate the data of my own experiences obtained by the questionnaire survey and supplemental interviewing the pedagogical personnel from monitored retirements homes. Those data are focused on expert knowledge of staff and the practical routine care for demented people.

The theoretic part defines the social support, describes the problematics of the social support, the psychology and psychological hygienics of the nurse. The empiric part presents results of a questionary research in 100 nurses who work in the intensive care units of different clinical disciplines in the University Hospital in Hradec Králové.

A violance in medical departments and ways to solve the problem Key words: physical force, verbal assault, aggression, patient, health workers, factors contributing to the violance at the workplace, measures to reduce the violance at the workplace. We have been meeting the term violance more frequently during the last few years. There is no doubt that violance at the medical departments is a very serious problem with a possible health and, moreover, social and economic sequels. I focused on the problem of violance in the theoretical part of my work ( especially on types and possible risk factors of an aggressive behavior, possible attitudes to the aggressor, immediate reactions and cosequences of violance to the victim ). Empirical research is based on analysis of the daily press articles informing about attacked health workers and on mapping of violance in the departments of the Faculty Hospital Královské Vinohrady. The results of investigation show not only the departments with a higher risk of the encountered violance, but also the type of aggressor and victim. The conclusion of empirical investigation is paid to the safety measures, which lead to the reducing of the violance rate at the departments of Faculty Hospital Královské Vinohrady.

JIROUSKOVA, Klara. Humane attitude to the dying patient in nursing. Bachelor's work The topic, I've chosen for my bachelor's work is dealing with problems in humane attitude of nursing staff to the dying patient. The study is dedicated to those, who are daily faced to death on their wards, and feel themselves not to be familiar with appropriate approach to the dying patient- mostly to the medical staff in hospitals. This bachelor's work is composed of two parts - theoretical and empirical. In the first, theoretic part, I've focused on the process of dying, with it's stages, on the patient's reactions to the threatening death, and also on the mental changes, dying man have to go through in this process. The study is concerning the specific needs of terminally ill patients, as well as, the possibilities of psychological help. Particular attention is paid to the euthanasia, to the palliative and hospice care. The study is trying to clarify, that euthanasia, with respect to the palliative and hospice care, can not be regarded as a "dignified death". Study deals also with the "burn out" syndrome that usually affects nursing staff taking care mostly of critically ill patients, pointing out its causes, process, and possible prevention. Relatives' visits at intensive care units relatives'and staff's view

It is desired to know the meaning on relatives visits liberalization on intensive care unit in the view of visitors and the staff. Questionnaires about the visits possible problems were filled up by visitors (53 persons) and intensive care nurses (60 persons). The next results are formulated: The visits of relatives at intensive care unite are obvious and is the obligatory part of treatment process. It is not routine practise to know the patient's wish about the plan visit before the visit. Nobody of visitors was discouraged from visiting the patient on intensive care unit. It is necessary to construct the unites with the better possibility of privacy. The relatives prefer the long duration of visit. The relatives means, that a comatose patient can hear them and the visit helps the patient in healing process. The intensive care unit staff must allow relatives to presence during some therapeutic and diagnostic procedures.
