Pangrácová, Lucie ; Horáček, Radek (referee) ; Sobotka, Jiří (referee) ; Medek, Tomáš (advisor)
This thesis observes digital sculpture as an area of artworks at the intersection of sculpture in the traditional sense of the word and digital art. It is dedicated to this topic from the theoretical point of view, setting its definition and exploring its hybrid media nature. It observes the way digital tools have influenced the creative frield of sculpture, the authors’ creative strategies, and the transformation of means of expression; it searches the prevailing tendencies in the area of topics and contents. It describes the impact of dematerialization, i. e. a significant liberation from matter and its limit. These newly acquired qualities are being verified in the practical part of the thesis that explores the area of presentation of sculpture, the inception of which was determined by technology.

Although the main topic of my diploma thesis is Kabát, I describe in the introductory chapters of my previous work, because their creation and gradual emergence have been directed towards the final project - Kabát. As part of my sculpture, I concentrate mainly on the possibilities of transforming the human figure, using various classical and non-traditional sculptural materials. The fabric of a selected piece of clothing (in the case of a coat) is reinforced at a certain point in time, which I transposed into the feathered cavity - the coat that you put before you. His work with the "outer envelope of man" in the final passage of the text corresponds to the work of Czech and foreign artists.
