Effect of mowing technique on the quality of cutting, condition and composition of grassland
PETRÁŠ, Marek
The aim of this work is to assess the influence of mowing technology on mowing height, mowing uniformity, cut quality and botanical composition of grasslands. To achieve these goals, two meadows were selected in the cadastral territory of Bukvice near Trhové Sviny in 2022. The first selected meadow was mowed with a rotary disc mower. The second selected meadow was mowed with a rotary drum mower. The botanical composition was recorded for all monitored meadows, and the water and nutrient regime was determined. Before mowing, the condition of the mowing mechanisms, the set mowing height and the condition of the mowing blades were monitored. After cutting, the actual height and uniformity of the stubble, biomass production, and the amount of remaining uncut biomass were monitored. The quality of the cut was evaluated.
Methodological tasks of livestock density in pastures and etological observation of cattle in pasture
PETRÁŠ, Marek
The aim of the bachelor's thesis is to design suitable ways of expressing the load of grazing areas and monitoring cattle during grazing with regard to the condition of pastures. These goals were achieved on the basis of one-year monitoring and analysis of pasture on the monitored pastures. At the same time, when monitoring the botanical composition of pastures, the behavior of cattle on pasture and its influence on pasture and soil compaction were monitored.
Commuting to work by transport mode choice: changes in the main transport modes, depending on a distance on the example of two regional capitals in 2001 and 2011
Petráš, Marek ; Květoň, Viktor (advisor) ; Jaroš, Václav (referee)
The main goal of this work is to evaluate changing significance of main travel modes in two regional capitals between two censuses. The work is based on 2001 and 2011 censuses results. The work is also based on assumption, that there has been a change in travel mode choice within commuting to work due to economic boom (2003-2008) and economic crisis (2008-2010) in the Czech Republic. It means especially growing role of individual automobile travel and declining importance of public transport. The research also focuses on changes of distances, in which the travel modes are mainly used. The basic statistical and cartographic methods are used for the evaluation. The results confirm growing importance of automobile travel at expense of other means of transport, especially bus travel. Both cities are characterised by an importance of railway travel higher than nationwide average. The railway travel maintains its importance especially along the main railway corridors. The average distance of travel has grown in all evaluated means of transport. Despite that, all means of transport achieve in 2011 their maximum share in same distance categories as they did in 2001.
Perception of benefits resulting from Chrudim road bypass and its influence on traffic behaviour of inhabitants
Janoušková, Hana ; Petráš, Marek (advisor) ; Pšenička, Petr (referee)
The bachelor thesis deals with the perception of the benefits of the bypass of Chrudim and its influence on the traffic behavior of the population. The first part of the thesis is focused on theoretical framing of the researched issue. The main topics addressed are traffic behavior, modal choice, the NIMBY effect and the subsequent integration of these topics into the context of the city's transport infrastructure and the construction of bypasses. For the analytical part of the thesis, the city was divided into 15 areas. The perception of the bypass and changes in traffic behavior in relation to the distance of their residence from the bypass were monitored by means of an online questionnaire. This was followed by an additional field survey in 6 selected areas and an interview with the head of the Transport Department of the town of Chrudim. It was found that the bypass is perceived positively by the inhabitants of the city and is mostly used by the people who live in its vicinity. The results of the whole survey can be beneficial for future town planning.
Municipalities around D11 highway: detection of links between socioeconomic changes and new highway section opening
Petráš, Marek ; Květoň, Viktor (advisor) ; Horňák, Marcel (referee)
Research thesis presents an analysis of changes that occurred in municipalities around the motorway D11, after there was opened a new section of motorway at the end of the year 2006, which extended the motorway about 45 km and its total length doubled. New section took over the traffic load from the original main routes heading from eastern Bohemia to Prague and a number of municipalities, which originally lay on unimportant local routes, improve abruptly their traffic location and exposure to the main centres of development. The aim of the work is to determine the extent to which the detected changes in assessed region can be put in connection with the opening of the new motorway section. The changes in the births and deaths of the economic subjects, with a resolution by industry and size category, changes in population growth by migration and changes in the ride to the main centres are examined. The obtained data are transformed into assessed indicators in such a way to minimize the impact of external influences, which needs to be counted with within the research. The evaluation is carried out using descriptive analysis, Difference in differences method and other statistical analyses. The results of the research show that certain manifestations can be put in connection with the opening of the...
Incidence rate of external genital lesions (EGL) caused by human papillomavirus infection in Czech population
Petráš, Marek ; Adámková, Věra (advisor) ; Janout, Vladimír (referee) ; Göpfertová, Dana (referee)
Incidence of external genital lesions (EGL) caused by human papillomaviruses in the Czech population Marek Petráš Abstract Genital warts (condyloma acuminate) caused up to 90% cases by two human papillomaviruses of type 6 and 11 are not life-threatening diseases but can cause not only clinical symptoms (burning, itching, bleeding, and pain) but also psychosocial stress, embarrassment, and anxiety making for impaired quality of life. The aim of this cross-sectional study was to determine the prevalence and incidence rate of genital warts using questionnaire survey in the Czech population and to assess the risk predictors of genital warts. Between January 2013 and March 2014 valid data were collected from 33,700 attendees at 268 outpatient clinics in all 14 regions of the Czech Republic. The questionnaire enquired on several lifestyle factors, including residence, education, smoking, number of lifetime sexual partners, and HPV immunization status, as well as date of birth and gender. Information on genital warts was obtained with the question, ''Have you ever had genital warts?''. Study participants were also asked for the year of their first outbreak of genital warts and of recurrent episodes if any occurred, the treatments received, and the genital warts status of their sexual partner. The questionnaire...
