Social inclusion and employment of adults with Asperger syndrome

The topic of this work is "Social inclusion and employment of adults with Asperger syndrome". The thesis aims to present the specifics of social inclusion and employment of adults with Asperger syndrome. In the theoretical part of the work, a reader is acquainted with the term Asperger syndrome, with the development of expert terminology, symptoms, diagnosis and prevalence. Then a reader is acquainted with the social position of adults with this syndrome, specifically with a person with Asperger syndrome in the role of a friend, a partner and a parent. Subsequently, the work deals with the employment of adults with Asperger syndrome. The theoretical part describes training and positive work characteristics of these people, but also difficulties that these people may have in the work process. The conclusion of the theoretical part outlines supported employment of the people with Asperger syndrome, sheltered workshops and occupational rehabilitation. The practical part of this work contains an interpretation of the quantitative research, which was conducted by means of an online questionnaire survey. Aging population is a contamporary demographic situation of Europe, which has an impact on the efectivity of the labor market and threatens currently set social and economical system. This diploma thesis explores the concept of sustainable employment, which is one of the solutions of unstable labor markets due to aging workers. The sustainable employment is investigated in the V4 countries. The thesis is based on the secondary data from the European Working Condition Survey (EWCS) 2015. Exploring the EWCS 2015 data, 5 factors of sustainable employment for workers from the 50+ age group are determined. Those are: expressive dimension of work, supporting institutions, working conditions, socioeconomic conditions and work-life balance. Moreover, working conditions for the workers from the 50+ age group in the V4 countries are compared to results for the E28. Namely, 8 areas are investigated - satisfaction with working conditions, work-life balance, age discrimination, the threat of losing job, the difficulty of getting another job, the attitude to remaining at work and the health of workers.

The bachelor thesis is focused on the analysis of services provided by the university, often within the organization of career center, which should increase the employability of graduates and to facilitate their transition between university and the labor market. In the theoretical part the thesis deals with explaining the basic concepts of the study area, learning about the situation of graduates in the labor market in the Czech Republic and areas, which should students develop in to meet better the requirements of the labor market. Within the bachelor thesis the research was conducted through a questionnaire survey among graduates of PEF MENDELU. The aim of research was to prove the effectivity of career center on the university and services provided by it.
